Kitties
Meet my kitties, Angel(tabby) and Balthazar(dark gray). :) Aren't they just the cutest? I think so!
We got them both on Mother's Day of 2001 from a local pet supply store. We don't know if they're related or not, but we refer to them as being brother and sister anyway. :) We also don't know exactly how old they are because they didn't know at the pet store or anything, but they were probably close to 10 weeks when we got them. I
had been begging my mom and dad, mostly my dad, to let me have another try at having my own kitten for quite a while and finally my dad caved and said that I could get one! Woo hoo! Hahaha. Unfortunately, it wasn't
exactly "kitty season" at the time so we were having trouble finding me one. I had my heart set on a boy cat that I would name Balthazar Nickolas so when they finally had some kittens in at the store and there was a
beautiful calico that was a girl, I didn't get her. I really wanted a boy kitty. Later, I decided that I wanted the calico and called back, but she'd already been taken - all the kittens that had been there had. So, it
was back to searching and wating. Finally, I called in on Mother's Day because they'd told me they might be getting some kittens in that day and sure enough, they were there! :) My mom and I went down and looked at them
all. There were two gray tabbies and two that were just dark gray. Before we moved to Washington, I'd had a gray tabby so I picked one of them and we got it, not knowning if it was a boy or a girl. When we got home, I
called our neighbor to see if she could come over and tell us what gender it was and she did, it was a girl. I didn't know what to name her because I'd only been thinking of names for a boy, but she was so cute and I
loved her. :) About 20 minutes later I asked my dad if we could go back down with our neighbor and see if we could get me a boy too because then my kitty wouldn't get lonely when we were gone during the day. I got him to
finally say yes to that too and off we went to get Balthazar. :) When we got home I figured out a name for the girl and it was perfect. :) I love them both and they're just the cutes kitties EVER!
Full Name: Angel Grace
Short Bio: Angel is a crazy kitty. lol She always has been. She loves to run around the house and when she does it at night, it sounds like there's a stampede outside my door! She's so adorably cute though! :) She
loves to curl up into a ball on your lap, as long as she's in the mood. ;) She's always the first to get at the wet food when it's servered as well. I guess it's that old "ladies first" saying in action. She's very
atheltic. I'm serious! She used to play balloon volleyball and she was very good at it. She's also quite the jumper and is very good at catching the toy mouse on the stick we have as well as birds outside. I once saw
her jump and do a complete backflip and then land on her feet while trying to catch a bird flying by. She missed, but not by much. ;) She did bring a half-dead one into the house as a present for my mom once though. lol
It was very sweet of her, but my mom's just not a bird kinda person. ;)
Full Name: Balthazar Nickolas
Short Bio: I like to think of Balfie as being Balthazar "the czar" Nickolas seeing that the last czar of Russia was named Nicholas(I like it spelled with the 'k' better). Well, it makes sense to me anyway. ;) lol
He's a crazy kitty too and often joins Angel in late night stampedes. I've seen him after birds before and I've seen him trot by with one in his mouth looking like a very proud kitty. He's not quite as athletic as
Angie is though. He does like to jump, but not very often. He's more into running and he's very good at that. Balfie's favorite thing to do, besides napping and eating, is to get his paws into my hair. Yeah, you read
right, he likes to kneed his paws in my hair. Occasionally he'll do it in someone else's hair, but it's mostly mine that he loves. He's very funny when he does it. He purrs really loudly and closes his eyes all
content-like and then he'll fall asleep after a while. Never fails to give my mom and me a good laugh. ;)
So there you have it, those are my kitties. :) I'm sure there's things I'm forgetting and there will be more things to add at a later time so this page will be updated at some point. I'm also going to add a picture gallery of them on this page at some point as well, so keep a look out for that because I guarentee you that the pictures will be SO cute. lol
