I just bought a new domain. lol I went for a super long time before buying another one though... I think. Actually, I can't really remember, but it was at least like four months or something. Has to have been at least that long. ;) lol I'm crazy, I know. Speaking of domains though, I just added some stuff at Of-A-Star.com earlier. No new wallpapers, but I put up a guestbook and there's a little thing to rate me at Elite Fan Pages so hopefully some people will utalize those things and I'll get some positive feedback and ratings. :)

In other news today, I went to Barnes & Noble so that I could get the sequal to the book I finished at 5 AM the yesterday morning. lol I did the typical thing for me. I'm semi-near the end of a book and at about midnight or one in the morning I start reading and say I'll just read a chapter or two, then around 5 AM, I finish the book. lol It was really good though so I'm going to tell you all to read it! It's Green Rider by Kristen Britain. Very good fantasy/adventure novel. :) The sequel, which I haven't started yet, but will later tonight I'm sure, is called First Rider's Call. I imagine I'll be reccomending that one to you all when I finish it as well. ;) I also got another book while I was there. I browsed through the whole scifi/fantasy section there. lol It's called The Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley and it's a re-telling of the story of Robin Hood. :) I read the first paragraph at the store and it sounds pretty cool. Won't be reading it until I've finished First Rider's Call though since I'm wondering what happens next in that story. ;)

When I got home from my book shopping and errand-running I went to meet my parents at the little block party someone was having today. It was okay I guess, but no one my age and not really many younger people at all so I wasn't there very long. I think I might have been there for a total of twenty minutes... maybe. lol Not exactly thrilling, plus not really something I was in the mood for, but I thought I'd give it a shot and no regrets. :)

Yesterday was a fairly slow day at work. It was just Matt and I working for the first show and since I'd finished my book at 5 AM that morning, I brought my laptop and an SG-1 disk from season 6. Of course, Matt's never even seen the movie Stargate so I tried to fill him in on some stuff, but since it was an episode from season 6, it would take a long time to try and fill him in on everything. lol I guess he liked it okay, don't really remember exactly what he said about it. lol The second show was slow as well and it was amusing to watch all the "guy bonding" between Matt and Nate, a little with Wes maybe. *rolls eyes* They just love each other so much and it always shows when they're slappin' each other around and calling each other ugly and stuff. lmao I was being a bit sarcastic there too if you couldn't tell. ;) Nate and I played I Spy while we were waiting for people to come too. I was doing pretty good until it was his turn and he spyed something red that turned out to be a tiny little dot on something that I had my back to the whole time. lol Matt was the one that found it. After that we had to stop because people were starting to steadily appear for the movie. Poor Wes was doing tickets so he didn't get to join in the hunt for the "something red." lol

I have today and tomorrow off work and then Monday will be the double duty day. I'll be working at my Monday job and then I'll be at the theatre for the second show too. Oh, but I e-mailed my boss earlier today asking if she can keep a lookout for when the screening is for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow for me and hopefully she can do the RSVP for me and I can go. :) That movie looks pretty cool I think. I read about it in a video/cinematography magazine and the entire movie was shot on a blue screen. All the backgrounds in the movie are completely digital and it has a really stylized effect to it. I think it looks pretty cool and hopefully the story's good too. ;) lol Anyway, guess I'll be off now. Either to relax in front of the TV, work out on our new elliptical(forgot to mention mom found one at a garage sale the other day for only $30!), read my new book, or possibly work on websites. Decisions, decisions. ;) lol Ta ta!

So yesterday I was thinking about my experiance with the freaky bug and I realized why it freaked me out so much! The thing looked just like a mini version of the evil alien bugs from an episode of Stargate SG-1 called "Bane!" They were very evil bugs that had killed an entire civilization and one of them stung Teal'c and he started to turn into a nest that would birth more of the things and they couldn't find him and Earth was at risk! See? No wonder it freaked me out and I whacked it and killed it! I was just saving the world. ;) lmao

Yesterday also brought around an interesting evening at work. Apparently, since it's been raining a bunch the last few days, something leaked at work and there was a pond in the theatre. So, not good. And so all three of the guys working last night felt compelled to figure it out. Which, you know, make sense since that's not good that there's water getting into the theatre. But at the same time, that left me all by myself to get everything else ready. Might have been nice if one of them had helped me, but oh well. So people started to come and it got to the point where I needed help. I tried to yell for Ben, but he was shopvacing up the water so he couldn't hear me. I ran down the aisle and was all like, "Help me!" lol So I ended up doing tickets and Ben did the concessions pretty much all by himself save for the little help I offered inbetween ticket sales. The two of us handled 57 people coming in during the last, like, 15 minutes. The reason Matt and Bryan N. didn't help was because they were stuck up on the roof the whole time. lol Poor boys. They survived though as did Ben and I. I just went home really fast after that and wanted to take a major break from having to do anything. lol

Today I woke up just as mom got home and a few minutes later the phone rang and it was Brian J. He asked me if I'd work his shift for him tonight and so I said yes. Sure, I'd been planning to do nothing today, but that's not really an appropriate thing to use as an excuse not to work, right? lol Plus, hours are good and I'd never tell any of the guys I couldn't work for them unless I really had something planned or something. Anyway, so I hung at home and then went to work. Brian K. was there. I'm doing better... I guess. lol I'm fairly well okay with everything save that I still don't really know what to say to him. Tonight I looked straight at him and talked to him though. I told him that I only made americanos and hadn't used the milk in the esspresso machine. Oh yeah, watch me go! lmao Hopefully he doesn't hate me too much or anything for my stupidity. I still like him, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me so it'll just take me a bit of time to... deal, I guess. None of this probably makes any sense to anyone, but that's probably better that way. I guess... part of me wishes Brian would say something to me, but not likely so I'm just trying to knock some sense into my own head... yeah. lol

After work I went to get myself a sub sandwhich. Yum. :) Next time I'll get a free sandwhich too! :D Yay! While I was there I thought that I should go over to the grocery store too and rent a movie. :) So I called mom to see if she needed anything and if I could use the free movie rental we had. :) She said yes to the movie rental and said she didn't need anything until I reminded her about eggs, so I ended up getting a case of those. :) And I was going to rent Ella Enchanted 'cause I thought it was a pretty cute and funny movie, but they didn't have it. :( But, I noticed out of the corner of my eye... Megalodon!!!! WOO! For those of you who don't know, it's a movie about a prehistoric shark coming to attack people on a floating oil rig and it's got Leighanne Littrell in it. :) I'd heard about it quite a while ago and wanted to see it because I like sharks and ever since I heard about Megalodon on Shark Week years ago, I've always thought it was cool and would someday like a Megalodon tooth if I can ever find one on my own or afford to buy one, which would cost a lot. Anyway, it was rather unrealistic, as all shark movies are, but it was a whole lot better than Open Water and I liked it okay. :) And Brian Littrell was in it for a whole like 5 seconds at the beginning too! I didn't know that and I'm just watching and all of a sudden I'm like, "That was Brian!" and had to rewind to see the part again just to make sure. ;) lol And the premise was cool. They drilled down into the ocean bottom and discovered a mirror sea to our own that had pre-historic fishies in it and that's where the Megalodon came out of. But it was funny because once they killed that one(and it kinda moved weird going through the parts where it was killing each of the people one by one), that one being the shark, they thought that was it! All these other things came out of the hole and there was lots of things in it and they only thought there was ONE Megalodon. lmao *shakes head* So, they ended the movie with Leighanne's character on a little sailboat off of France all by herself and then they do a shot from the air and a Megalodon swims under it. Oooh. lol It was all right though and I'd still reccomend it. ;)

I was going to post something else. It was like a good ending thing to post, but now I can't remember. That's always how these things happen. Arg. lol Isn't that annoying? I still can't remember. I sat for a couple minutes thinking and I still can't remember. Okay, I'm off. TTFN!

Yipes, it was freaky! About 15-20 minutes ago, I opened the door to call for the kitties since it's pouring down rain. And first, there was a waterfall coming from the gutter. lol Angie came running in and then came sir Balffers a few moments later. At that point I looked down and there was this large, odd shaped thing on the floor just inside the door area. It was a freakin' giant dragonfly! *shudders* Egh! I do not like insects... especially large ones. It's body was big and icky! I closed the door hoping it would fly off and out of the house. It didn't. It got half-caught in the bottom of the door, but then it didn't die! So I ran and grabbed the broom to knock it out, but it was like coming more into the house and fluttering so I freaked out and slammed the broom down on it to kill it. It wouldn't die so I smacked it a few more times with the broom bristles good and hard. Then I opened the door and sweeped it's ickiness out the door. Egh. It was so nasty! lol I don't understand how people like them... I ran into the bathroom to look myself over in the mirror to make sure there weren't anymore attached to me. I would have yelled for my parents I think if there had been. Yucky, yucky.

Before all that, I was making a new wallpaper to put up at Of-A-Star.com. I'll be adding it and another that's... egh, okay I guess, in a while before I go to bed I think. I hope. lol I'm on the wrong computer to do the update right now. Oh yeah, and I should say that I registered to take another class this fall quarter. :) Actually, it's just one night a week for a couple hours during the month of October, but it should hopeuflly be a lot of fun. It's a songwriting class!!! :D Focuses on lyrics rather than the music part of it, which is just what I was wanting to take. Yay! I think I'll be doing lots of writing this quarter. lol Nighty night!

Sunday, August 22, 2004

Look, look! I'm posting two days in a row! Sheah! lol Okay, that was a little too excited just for something as small as this. ;) Anyway, some things to blog about have happened today so here I am blogging. This morning was church and I did the video stuff, etc. That went pretty good. There was also a brunch after church, but I didn't stay. I decided to go home. There was just a brunch last Sunday, do I need to go to another one this Sunday? Nah. Anyway, I looked through the paper some when I got home and decided to go see Open Water today.

When I got to the theatre there was a really long line of people standing outside waiting to get tickets. I was like, holy cow, who'd have ever though so many people would show up for early movies on a Sunday? But I was there too, so... ya know. ;) lol Most of them I think were there to see Without A Paddle. Anyway, Open Water was okay I guess. Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but yeah... it was definately an independent film with a tiny budget. lol The beginning of it... terrible. The cinamatography sucked. All fuzzy, too much movement... yeah. Then, they showed them heading off for their vacation and some stuff while they were there and then, HOLY FRIGGIN' COW, evil naked scene. I DESPISE those! They freakin' spring them on you too, there's like absolutely no warning. One moment it's a close-up of her face with splotches of sunscreen on it and the next moment they show her lying naked on the bed! EWWWWW!!!! I'm a girl, I know what chests look like, I don't need to see anyone else's but mine people!! ARG. So yeah, that's like, THE ONLY reason that movie is rated R. There was like a ten minute sex scene with that too, but I didn't see any of it because I was examining the front of my coat. lol So, everyone who thinks they want to see it, shield your eyes when they do the close-up of her face thing and then don't look back up until the screen gets really bright again and then you can watch the guy kill a bug in their hotel room. *rolls eyes* Once the movie finally gets to the point where the boat is gone and they're left alone in the water, it's kinda good. It even had a little humor about Shark Week on Discovery Channel and stuff about the History Channel as well. lol ;) The ending kinda sucks though. First the guy dies and the sharks eat him. Then, right after they show the coast guard and stuff going out to find them, she decides she doesn't want to live anymore, takes off her life vest, and sinks into the water and it fades out. STUPID! Oh wait, there's one final little mini-scene as the credits are rolling where they show some people cutting open a shark on a warf and they open up it's stomach and pull out the under-water camera the two had. Yeah. So, the good part is after they've been in the water for quite a while, then there's a cool stormy-night scene that was done in a cool way and also some cool shots of above and below water revealing how many sharks there are and whatnot. So... it wasn't horrible, but yeah, not real good either.

On the way home, the car was feeling kinda washy as I was driving and it didn't feel real good. Then, when I got off at the exit from the freeway, you know, I stopped at the stop and then I started to go again and there was this grating and I thought that that would definately be a reason to pull over and see what's up. lol So, the front passenger side tire was flat. Flat and so very sad looking. Poor tire. lol I called my mom to come rescue me and just after she got there, dad pulled up behind her on his way home! Woo haw and TONS of praise to God! :D Extra, extra praise really too that my tire didn't blow up when I was going 70 miles an hour on the freeway. But now I know how to change a tire. lol Mom and Dad showed me where the jack was and how to get the spare tire from under the car(it's kinda cool really) and then they showed me how to get the problem tire off and put the new one on. It's not hard in the way of steps of what to do, but it's a bit taxing on time and effort you've gotta put into it. All's well though. We knew I was going to need to get replacement tires eventually. My dad has some that might work, but not sure yet, so we'll see. Either way, I'll have to spend some money for one thing or another on it. Good thing I've at least paid my parents back all that I owed them. Thank you Lord! I love you!

So that's pretty much what's been going on so far today. I just have a final note to end this blog entry with and then I'll be off to do something. I should really try and work on one or more of my sites, but we'll see. I think I've also gotta go out and check the tire pressure on the rest of the tires and make sure everything's okay. I know one of them is low for sure though so I'll have to add some air to that. But, anyway, before I go... Happy birthday Howie!!!!! :)

It's been almost a full week since my last entry. Blarg. I kept meaning to post but then I decided I'd wait until something else happened to add and then I like, forgot. lol I probably would have posted last night, but I was in paint for like 3 to 4 hours. I'm fine now, I just did not have a happy reaction to the package of sour candies that I ate at work. Oh... it hurt. lol But after time, some tea, and a back rub from my mom, I started to feel better and then after a while longer, it felt all better so, YAY! :D

Let's see... monday was work at the office. Just updated some stuff on their website for them and watched the phones again. Then Tuesday... what did I do on Tuesday? I'm pretty sure I did something, but I can't remember. Maybe I did something with my mom? Oh no, wait, I remember now! Autumn and I went to say good-bye to Andrew. He left for California on Wednesday(which reminds me that I should e-mail him to see how things are going) so we had a little good-bye party in Barnes & Noble. lol Yeah, interesting location, but I found a new book while I was there! lol It's called Green Rider and I'm too lazy to walk accross the room and grab it and find out who it's by, but I think her last name is Britain. Or something close to that anyway. I'm like 140 pages in or something and so far it's pretty good. There's 400+ pages in it so I've still got a bit of a ways to go. There's a sequal to it too so if I like this one when I'm all finished, I'll probably take myself back to the book store to get the second one or something. :)

Wednesday and Thursday I worked both shows and yesterday I worked both shows as well. Originally when I checked my schedule on Wednesday night I had NO hours for this current week. So Thursday morning I called my boss and asked her why that was. She said she totally hadn't meant to and that she thought she had given me hours. I'll leave it at that. Anyway, so she gave me someone else's hours for yesterday and gave me a couple shows later in the week to work as well. So not a lot of hours, but much better than none at all.

Today I hung out with Tammy for a while. First we went to an audition that she just discovered was going on right before I came to get her. I'm driving toward the house to pick her up and then I see her and her boyfriend driving down the opposite direction and waving at me. lol I looked in my rear-view mirror and they were stopping so I did a "5" point turn(the road was a little tight for doing a proper 3-point turn, lol) and headed toward them and Tammy's running up the road toward me. lol She jumps in and goes, "Holly, we're going to an audition!" lol I'm like... "okay..." lol So, we went and I was thinking of auditioning as well, but I don't have a headshot, nor do I have a resume and they wanted both. Plus, there was a little video going when we got there of the style they'd be doing the performance in and while... it looks like crap. lol Terrible way to do a performance, I think. Tammy said though that any show under your belt is still good for future things, but I just wasn't interested and I really would not want to put forth the time and effort for all the practices since I'll be in school all during that time as well and I want to try and work as much as I can while taking classes and doing homework so that just wouldn't work out. lol

After that was over, we went to the store and got some things to have for dinner and came back to my house to watch The Mask and have orange julius'. :) That was a thing her and I used to do a lot "in the old days." lol So that was lots of fun. :) She also had me whip out one of my BSB tapes of stuff from on TV so that we could watch the MTV VMA performance from '98 which also had the skit with the "Backstreet Boyz" on it. lol So funny. "This guy has got to go. Yeah, out in the snow. What'dya know bro? He's a ZERO!" lol

Then I went to work and Tammy got picked up from there. I wasn't scheduled to work tonight, but Matt called me earlier and asked if I could work the second show for him, and who am I to turn down hours when I don't really have anything else planned? lol Tammy needed to get back around the time I had to go to work pretty much anyway so, no big.

When I got in the car after work, I had a voice mail on my cell phone. I'm thinking to myself, who in the heck called and left me a voice mail? I already got stuff for mom at the store earlier. lol It did turn out to be my mom, but she was inviting me to meet her and dad at a restaurant for dessert. :) I got this oreo sundae thing that had some pretty darn good fudge in it and it was quite tasty. :) Cured my headache right up! lol We came home and mom and I ended up watching an SG-1 episode on DVD and then a bit of Who's Line before she decided to go to bed and I got on my computer. And now here I am. lol I've been talking to Sam for a while too. :) Gonna have to hop off to bed soon though because tomorrow is my volunteer day at church which means I've got to get up a bit earlier and get there earlier. So, nighty night! Don't let the bed bugs bite... Man, I hope there are never bugs in anyone's bed. lol I did find out once though where that saying came from. Years and years back, some people used to stuff their mattresses with discarded food and when it became rotten, that's when the bugs would come. Doesn't sound very comfortable at all. lol Anyway... off I go, night night!

Friday I had to go down to work way early to take the test for my food handler's permit. Yeah... again. lol It was the third time I've taken it, and the third time I passed. lol You have to take it every so many years... even though they said the same exact things they did last time. lol It's funny too because we had to know the temperatures to cook meats and things up to, but we don't have meat at the theatre... just popcorn. lol They guys I work with will be making fun of the whole things for weeks now. ;) They've already started with the... "you must wash your hands after you do everything" stuff. Silly boys, but that's what keeps me entertained while I'm at work, right? Except for some times when they say stuff I REALLY don't want to hear. lol

Anyway, got a perfect score on the test and was the first one done, but closely followed by others. Then there was like an hour before my shift started so I went to see if Autumn was working and wanted to have lunch with me, but she wasn't so I went and got a sandwich and just ate all by myself. I survived. ;) Then it was time to work. I ended up calling my mom to see if she wanted to watch the first showing with me since it wasn't very busy. She agreed and we watched The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. It was SOOOO cute!!! And so funny too!!! I totally reccomend it to everyone to see! My dad even went with my mom and me when we went to watch it again today and he said he liked it pretty good and he's not much of a movie-goer. ;) Such an awesome and totally adoreable movie!

Yesterday mom, dad and I went out shopping early in the day. We mostly went to go by Wal*Mart and get an elliptical that they have there for a really good price. Unfortunately, both Wal*Marts we ended up stopping at didn't have any. :( Arg. I was all excited to get it and start using it so I was a bit upset when we found out they didn't have any. The second Wal*Mart I gave my name and number for them to call me when they get more in which the guy claimed would be soon so we'll see if they remember to tell me or if I just have to keep trying back to see if it's there. It kind of sucks though because the closest Wal*Mart is like an hour drive away or something. Rawrg.

After the shopping excursion(during which I also got Taco Bell food and they messed up part of my order... *sniffs*), it was time to go to work. Mom and dad had to just drop me off at the theatre because there was no time for us to go home first and me to get another vehicle. So, during work I read part of my new textbook for my scriptwriting class. Just the intro and the first chapter. But while doing so, Ben asked what it was and I told him and said the class it was for and he told me that in the office there was a scriptwriting software! lol Who'd have thunk it? So he brought the booklet down and I looked through it some. It looked really cool. :) And since my final is like 5 pages of finished script and it has to be done using a scriptwriting software, I might be able to use that one depending on if my boss will let me and if it's not too old of a version. lol It was kinda cool though, I would never have thought about that.

Today I went to church and the high schoolers shared about the missonary trip they went on a few weeks ago. It was... kind of cool to hear about. I don't know, honestly, I just didn't really get into any of their sharing from it, though I tried. Oh well. Then after church there was a baptismal service at the river and then a lunch thing after that. The baptism was nice to watch and the lunch thing was okay though it was very sunny and very warm and I got burnt some. lol I didn't stay too long... wasn't really talking to anyone so why stay, right?

Then I came home and my parents got home shortly after me. I was trying to decide something to do with myself when my mom asked if I wanted to go watch the movie again so I said sure and asked dad if he was going to join us and he said okay! *shock* lol That's mostly all I did today. When we got home from the movie I played archery for a while, but then these stupid little bugs wouldn't leave me alone so I gave up and came inside. lol Well, I'll be off now. I've got to go to sleep at a semi-decent time tonight(or at least try to) since I'll be up bright shiny early in the morning to go to work. Anyway, I'm off now. TTYL!

I'm debt-free now!!! lol Well, mostly, anyway. ;) lol I got a check today for the recent website I did and some work I did there as well aside from the website. So, I signed it over to my mom and gave her another check for $19 and now I don't owe mom and dad money any longer! :D *dances* lol I had owed them money from having the car fixed, etc. Although, now I'm going to have to shell out $75 in a few days so that we can get an elliptical. :) I said I'd decided I wanted to buy one 'cause Wal*Mart's got a really good deal for one. I didn't even ask if my parents wanted to pay for part of it really, but they decided they would so now we're going to go get it whenever we feel like it, really. lol But still, I'm doing good. ;)

Tuesday my mom and I went out and did some shopping. I got The Prince & Me on DVD while we were at Wal*Mart and then I got more of these nice, colorful pens from Uni-ball that I like at Office Depot. :) After we got back I called Tammy's sister to see if she still wanted me to come over and teach her HTML, but she had to leave shortly since I was late in calling her. I spent the rest of the night just hanging out at home and whatnot.

Yesterday afternoon I ended up going to do the HTML lesson and it's a good thing I brought my laptop with me because their computer hutch was locked and then when her mom called to tell her where they key was and we went to open it, it wouldn't budge at all! lol So I gave her the lesson on my laptop. Good thing you don't need internet access to be able to code and view it on your comp. ;) lol She did pretty good though. Obviously though, it's going to take her a while to get the hang of everything and whatnot though. It's funny though because I've had a few people ask me recently how I learned HTML and I told them I taught myself and they were like, "Wow, that's really cool." They didn't say those words exactly, but you get the point. I don't know, doesn't seem like a big deal to me. lol

In the evening yesterday I went to a church sponsored social for the college girls at our church. Well, it turned out to be only the lady who was hosting it and one other girl and me. lol It was really nice though. We had these very tasty deserts and I discovered I like a new kind of fruit, but I can't remember what it's called. lol And we played dominoes, which I'd never actually played before. I'd set them up in a pattern, flicked the one nearest me and watched them all fall down, but never played the actual game. It was fun. :) And, of course, we talked a bunch. I wasn't sure about going at first, but I'm really glad that I went 'cause I had a really nice time there. :)

Today I've, yet again, just been hanging out at home. lol I got up and started some laundry, then I ate and then I did some stuff on the 'net. One of which involved finding out what was wrong with the theatre site. See, since the other day I had been trying to update the site and I'd upload the new file and then hit refresh and it wouldn't show up, but in the FTP, when I viewed the file code on the server side, it was the new version of the page. So, finally, today I talked to the host company on the phone and turns out that they just made a few changes to their server the other day and all I had to do was change the host address in my FTP from the IP address to the website address and it worked! lol Glad it was a simple solution and that we got it figured out today. We start showing The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement tomorrow and it would not have been good if I wasn't able to update the website with times for it because no one would know when to show up! lol But, yay, God is good! :)

I got one of my textbooks for the fall that I'd ordered online in the mail today too. :) I got them off of half.com for quite a bit cheaper than I would have if I'd gotten all the books used at the bookstore at the college and that's even including what we had to pay for shipping and handling! lol The only bummer though was that one of the people didn't confirm my order so it was automatically cancelled by the site and I had to re-order that particular book from a different seller. Oh well. At least there's still a long time before the beginning of the quarter so it's not like I'm in dyer need of them or anything. ;) Was hoping to get my first credit card statement in the mail too, but that still hasn't come yet! lol I don't even know when the cut-off date is so I don't know when to expect it. Arg. lol I want it to come so that I can pay it and get good marks on my credit transcript so that some day when I want to buy something really big(car, house, etc.), then I'll get a good interest rate on it. :) Mom says maybe it'll never come and I just won't have to pay it. lol I doubt that'll be the case though and I do want to pay it otherwise it'll do nothing to help my credit. lol Well, I'm off now. Gonna figure out something to do for the rest of the day. Maybe some archery and some other things as well. TTFN!

I worked 7 hours today. Just answering the phone mostly and I did some editing for their website. They're going to give me $10 an hour so... wee! :D lol Now I'll finally be able to pay my parents back and be debt-free once again!! Unfortunately, I have a feeling it might not last very long... Humm... the car's been rattling more recently... hope it lasts for a while yet! lol But so work was all right. I managed not to really get bored at all. Mostly by thinking FAR too much, but toward the end of the day there I played games online and that kept me quite busy and my attention and thoughts away from other things.

I've just been over-thinking things I think. I do it all the time. Battles between one part of myself and the other. It sucks. Anyway, I'm feeling happier right now and I don't want to bring myself back to where I was so I'll just move on. I shouldn't be writing about any of this stuff in here anyway. Well, I'm off. Tomorrow I'm going shopping with my mommy and then in the evening I'm going to teach Tammy's little sister HTML. Or, at least, start teaching her as it's not really something you can learn right away in just a few hours. ;) TTFN!

I'm feeling a bit bummed right now. I want to make it clear though that I will live, and I don't want any "aww... poor Holly" comments on this. Why bummed? No date after all it seems. Don't know why, not sure if I'll ever find out. When I talked to Brian on the phone on Thursday he said we'd figure out something for this week today at work. Man, I've got problems. lol I like hardly said a word to him before people started coming for the movie. After the movie started I brought it up, horribly, might I add, by starting it off with "So did you change your mind, or do you still want to do something?" I am not at all in the know about these sorts of things so either I did or said something or he just decided he's not really interested after all. I sort of got the feeling since he wasn't real eager to try and figure out something to do that he wasn't interested. I don't know. I don't want to hound him though if he's not so I'm just figuring I'll let it go. It's been a while now since I've been home from work though so I've been thinking about it. I hate that. The thinking is the killer part. And well, I kept telling myself it didn't really matter that he's not interested in doing something afterall, but that's a lie, it does. I'm not, horribly crushed, and I'm not crying nor on the verge of tears, but it is making me feel rather sad. Well, whatever's in God's plan. That's what'll be and that's the way I want it to be. So, you know, if Brian does still want to do something, then he's free to call me and ask and I'd be glad to, but I don't see it being too likely. Oh well. I guess I've got a lot of mixed feelings floating around now though with all my thoughts that start with "what if?" And too, I talked to Tamara about it and she voiced something that I had thought about. That maybe he said something to one of his friends and then had an opinion on it or something or if he felt embarassed that his friends or our co-workers found out or something. Don't know. Sort of wish I did, but like I said, I'm not going to press anything with him. I might try to casually ask him about it at a later time, we'll see. *sigh* I feel like there are other things I want to write about this, but I don't feel like doing it right now and I'm not exactly sure what these things are anyway.

Addition: Whether it is, or is not, "me," I still feel like it is. I've never been on a date, I don't know what to do and in not knowing I'm sure I do some REALLY stupid things because I'm unsure and I'm nervous and I just, I know it's my fault, my own doing. Any way that I look at it right now, it's me. I just wish it wasn't so difficult. Who ever decided to make it so hard. At some point in history society did it and that's why it's difficult for me now. Society sucks. *jokingly, in a non-laughing matter...* Maybe now I can start writing angsty poetry again.

I love honey. You know, that tasty sweet stuff that bees make? It's good. ;) lol They're the only insects I like because they make honey and it's sweet and good. :) What brought this lovely factoid out? Mom and I went to one of the local yearly fair type deals today and there was a lady there selling raw, all natural, honey so mommy bought some for me. :) We got the fireweed kind(my fave) and also another kind that I hadn't had before, but tastes really good. :) The lady gave us free samples of like 5 or 6 different kinds of honey based on the flowers the bees fed off. They were all pretty good, but the fireweed and the other stuff that we got were the best kinds. :) If you've never had any kind of honey except for the clover stuff they sell at your average grocery stores, then you don't know real good honey. ;) lol This is why Winnie the Pooh was THE bear! lmao He knew about the love of good honey. ;) Hehehehe.

We also went out to dinner and called dad down to join us. Other than that, haven't done much today. I slept until almost 3 PM! I think it's because I hadn't been getting eight or more hours of sleep the last few days like I need so I made up for it today. lol We'll see how I manage tonight now since I should get to sleep soon since I've gotta get up for church in the morning. I also watched the new Disney Channel original movie Tiger Cruise tonight. I had to watch it because Bill Pullman's in it and we heart him. ;) lol It was pretty good. I mean, good movie, but not exactly my style I guess. I don't know. Liked it okay though. :) Anyway, I've been writing a lot of shorter entries lately and I'm just gonna keep it the same for now. Night night! :)

I really like PHP. lol And you know, I like CSS a lot too, but PHP just makes me really slap dappy happy right now. ;) Haha! Anyway, why does PHP make me happy? Well, there are numerous things and, you know, the include thing is AWESOME, but right now I'm really lovin' the if/else abilities. lol For those of you who've never done anything with PHP or haven't played around with it at all, basically it's like in math with the if/then statements. I say to the server, if this equals this, then perform this task and it does! It just makes me really happy. lol I've been working on my Stargate TCG cards today(still have a LOT to make) and the thought occurred to me, "I wonder if, instead of having a seperate page to display each card deck, I can use PHP to make it spit out a page for each deck when certain variables are called?" And so, I tried it. And it worked! The first time too! I didn't have to modify anything because I'd screwed up, what a nice feeling. ;) lmao I did end up adding a little feature to it though and I'll probably be adding another little something eventually too, but it just rocks because there are going to be a LOT of card decks and this way, instead of having a few hundered pages for all the decks, I'll only have to have a few and it will automatically generate the rest for use when needed for me! :D *dances* I heart PHP!!! :D

So yes, that was a boost of happiness today. Another was that, while the normal mail we got today was hardly anything and it was all junk, my Peter Pan movie poster that I bought off of eBay came! Woo! It's so pretty and it's in brand new condition too. I gave the seller quite the nice feedback for that. :) I have yet to put it up on my wall though. Sam asked if I'd take a picture and I told her that, once I get it(and one or two more posters) up on my wall, I take a picture of the whole thing and post it up here for all of you to see. :) Right now I've got an HP 3, The Mummy Returns, and X2 poster up, but I think I might take the X2 one down. I don't think I like it that much. Not as much as the others anyway, that's for sure. Plus, I've got a smaller X-Men one that I like a lot better, so yeah, might take the X2 one back to work or see if one of my friends wants it or something, we'll see. Anyway, guess I'm off now. My tummy says that it's hungry. ;)

EDIT: Oh yeah! I forgot! lol I dropped my Video Foundations class today in favor of Scripting for Film, Video, and Multimedia. Rad, eh? Or, at least, I hope it will be! lol Anyway, if I really like it and do well, I think I might try and write an episode of SG-1 or Atlantis and send it to them, see if they'll do it and put it on TV! How cool would that be? WAY COOL! lol Anyway... yeah, just had to say that. ;) Oh, and I'll probably take Video Foundations next quarter or something.

][ 5:07 PM

I spoke too soon before. lol No date later tonight(since it's almost two in the morning now, lol). He said we'll talk about doing it this coming week on Sunday while we're at work. *sigh* I find this all really funny, actually. lol Oh well. ;) Tammy and I did go shopping earlier though and got me a new shirt for whenever Brian and I go do something, if we still do. Hope so, but we'll see. lol

Right now I'm watching a tornado show on the Discovery Channel. Pretty cool stuff. Extreme weather has facinated me for quite some time. I really enjoyed Meteorology when I took that and we talked about tornados, lightning, hurricanes, etc. Too bad we didn't spend a whole lot more time on them though. Oh well, was still lots of fun to be in that class. Allbeit, these things are quite dangerous and it's always sad to hear when someone gets hurt from them or something, but when everyone's okay, they're just absolutely amazing to see. I'd like to see one from afar someday perhaps. You know, if I was totally safe where I was, but you can never know for sure with these things. ;) Well, I'm off now. I should have gone to bed quite a while ago. Nighty night!

*takes a deep breath* Are you all ready? You know, I don't think you are, but since I've already surprised a few people this evening, I might as well surprise more and then PURPOSEFULLY leave you all hanging! lol I'm so mean. I'll explain more eventually but for now, you get the following and that's that.

I have a date for Friday with a boy named Brian whom I work with. And since there are three Brians at my work, I shall be nice and differentiate and say that it's Brian K. ;)

Well, I just finished getting something accomplished! Allbeit, it was not what I should have been working on and it's really not a lot compared to what's left to get accomplished. lol Anyway, I got the first portion of my online portfolio up at STARafar productions. It's only the past layouts for this site. lol I spent a good few hours and only accomplished that much. My brain's starting to hurt just thinking how long it's going to take me to get all my other past layouts up there! lol It's kind of cool though because you can see the actual HTML pages of my past layouts instead of just a screen cap. :) More will be added every once in a while I think so that I don't get overwhelmed with it all. lol

Also, earlier I(don't laugh) put up the Nickerman wallpapers I'd made a while back at my Nickerman clique. And don't laugh at that either please. lol Anyway, that's a glipse at what I do with my life now. ;) I also did a full code check there and the members list went from 44 to 16. Bummer. If anyone hasn't joined and would like to, feel free! :D lol

After church my parents and I relaxed for a little while before I asked if they'd like to go see a movie and maybe go looking for video cameras again. They declined the movie(I suggested Thunderbirds and I hadn't thought they'd be interested anyway, but I had to try for Sam. I'll go see it later this week though hopefully.), but said yes to the shopping. They're trying to talk me into getting the cheapest MiniDV camcorder we can find. And while I'm all for not spending a whole lot of money, I'd rather have a Canon one that'll cost an extra $150 than what they'd prefer to spend. I would just say I'd pay the difference, but since I already owe them $400+ still, I don't think they'd go for that. I don't want a sucky camera though. It's for my video foundations class I'll be taking this fall and my parent's arguement is that I shouldn't get a really expensive camera until I've taken the class because I might decide I want a different one if I'm going to pursue that. My thoughts on the matter is that if I get one of the cheap ones(actually, one of them's not terrible, but still), then I WILL want a different one. lol Might as well get the nicer one now. Plus, I'll be using it after the class anyway and they'll be able to use it as well and I've always wanted a video camera and when I get this one it will be the first my immediate family's had. Plus, if I really decide to get serious with video stuff(which I probably won't as far as actually shooting and doing post-production work since I'm thinking more toward director, etc.), then I'd have to buy a REALLY expensive professional camera. None of you want to know how much those things cost, I do and it scares me. lol

Well, I guess that's all for now. I've blogged two days in a row, yay for me! lol Now we'll see if I keep it up. In the morning though I really need to get to work on a site I'm getting paid to re-vamp. I spend two hours the other night just re-formatting all the pages because the current layout was done with an evil program that adds BUTTLOADS of extra code that you don't need and just make it take longer to load. So, I have to fix every single page and change the layout. At least there's not more than 20 pages I'm pretty sure so I won't die. lol And it took me two hours to get two pages re-coded so if it continues at that rate than I'll get more money anyway. lol Then I can pay back my parents! Woo. lol Nighty night!

New layout! :) It was a long time in coming. lol Anyway, feat. Maj. John Sheppard from the new television series Stargate Atlantis, which I way heart. ;) It was one of those things where it could have gone either way. The spin off from SG-1 could have been really bad or really good, possibly in between. But oh yay and hugs because it turned out to be REALLY good! Well, at least it is so far anyway. ;) lol Yeah, hope you all like the layout, I think he's pretty.

Ugh, not much else to say because I've got a headache right now and it's imparing my ability to blog. It's one of those ones that doesn't really hurt that bad, but it's the constant pressure and throbing and I tell you, they're almost worse than the really painful ones. Oy. I will say this though, some times I am just really stupid. Stooopid. lol I swear, the things that fly out of my mouth when that's really not what I meant to say at all or I'm just being plain stupid and should have kept my big mouth shut! And then follows the confusion over things as well. Arg. We'll see what comes of this. Vague, I know, but I'm blaming it on the headache although even without that I probably wouldn't go much into detail on it anyway. *shakes head at self and sighs* Goodnight.
