Yay! I was just checking my online scriptwriting class and low and behold, the grade for my movie treatment was finally posted! lol And guess what... I got 100% on it!!! :D AHHH!!! And you know what else... this is the comment my teacher gave me: "Holly, this is a wonderful treatment! You tell a story well and I think it will make a good film. I really like your easy style of writing. Excellent!" *dances* Sorry, I just wanted to share that all with you because I thought it was exciting and, you know, those sort of comments make people feel nice. ;) I still don't know about my five pages of script though... I still think they stink fairly bad. lol I want to re-write them now, but I suppose I ought to just wait until it's graded... I don't know though. I also think I want to change the way the movie opens anyway so we'll see. Okay, that's pretty much all I had to blog about for today. lol Maybe I'll blog some more tomorrow. Ta ta!

I just finished watching a wonderful, adorable movie on the Hallmark Channel called A Boyfriend for Christmas. It was so cute! My mom and I have been looking forward to watching it since we started seeing commercials for it a few weeks back. I told my mom and dad when we first saw the commercial that that's what I wanted, a boyfriend for Christmas. ;) lmao Then we were joking around about how they might not pick one I'd like, etc. Hehehe. So, imagine my surprise when the main character of the movie, the girl who gets the boyfriend, turned out to be named Holly! *giggles* :D So now, we'll just see what happens, right? ;) lol I know, I'm being silly. Anyway, if you all get the chance, I'm sure it'll play again so watch it or tape it or something because it's an adorable movie!

In other news for the day, I went shopping with my mom earlier and got her one of her Christmas presents and she got me one of mine and we're both pretending we don't know what they are. ;) lol I also worked on this site for a while(I had done some of it last night too) and got up the 'girl' section before I left for work. :) So all my concert stuff and some other things are up now. Work was interesting as it often is with the silly boys I work with. lol They keep me entertained for the most part. Some times they go too far, but generally they're just silly. Brian J. kept trying to get me to say poop again today. *rolls eyes* That's been ongoing for MONTHS now. lol I refuse too say it for him to hear. Today he told me I'd get more respect if I said it. lmao That got Matt and Brian K. going on about those things for a bit too and I just tried not to laugh, but it was hard and a few slipped out. lol We also talked about the moon landing and if it was really a hoax or not and I asked Brian K. if he liked The Day After Tomorrow because I let him borrow it yesterday. He said it kept him entertained, but it wasn't the best movie ever. I guess I might have figured that though, but at least he sort of liked it. :) I think it's a good movie, but it could just be me. Anyway, I must be off to sleep now so I can get up for church in the morning. :) Goodnight!

First off, how's everyone like the new layout? I like it 'cause it's got Jack on it. ;) lol I made it a week or two ago and am just now finally getting it up and any time I do that with a layout, by the time I get it up, there are things I'd like to change, but I never seem to want to mess with it. lmao But yes, still a nice pretty Jack layout with lots of green. And sort of speaking of SG-1, I just heard the other day that they're renewing the series for it's NINTH season! WOO HAW! It said something about there still being talks to see if the original cast will be in it though. I sure hope so because what would it be like if there was no Jack, Daniel, Sam or Teal'c? It just wouldn't be right! I'm all for Jonas coming back to visit on some episodes too and it's darn too bad that there's probably no decent way to make Martouf come back from the dead. Shucks. lol Moving on...

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you that celebrate it today! I know it's different in other countries so I hope the rest of you had or have a good one. ;) My mom and dad and my step-brother and I went over to some friend's from church for dinner. They had some of their family and some other friends over there and it was pretty nice. :) There was one other "kid"(since I'm not really one any longer) there that was a girl and her and I ended up playing some games before dinner and whatnot. Before dinner we played Sorry! and then afterwards got some people to play Cranium with us. That was exciting and lots of fun! lol I'd been wanting to get a chance to play that game for some time so I was very happy with that. lol We also played some card games before my family left. Dinner was good too and everyone said the gingerbread men I made were really cute so that made me feel good. :) My mom helped me decorate them so part of the credit goes to her too. I saved some to take to the boys at work over the weekend as well so hopefully they'll like them. I discovered though, in the process of making the cookies, I am not a fan of gingerbread. lol So I don't think I'll be making those again unless it's for someone else or a special occasion. Sugar cookie men though... those'd be good. ;) Hehehe.

Oh! And this morning my parents and I went and picked up my new car!!! My dad put a down payment on it yesterday when he went to look at it and today we went and picked it up and drove it home. :) It's a used car which is new to me. ;) It's an older Toyota Camery, but it's got all the bells and whistles including power locks and windows, cruise control, and a moon roof! lol I can't open the window part of the moon roof though because once it's open, you have to work really hard to get it to close because the switch is broken. At least I wasn't the one to break it. lmao

So, rewinding a bit, good news about the math placement test! I spent some time trying to study and I think some of it paid off too. lol Wes helped me figure out some of the problems on the practice test because I couldn't remember how to do them. lol But so anyway, I ended up re-taking the assessment on Tuesday after my classes and I actually placed one level above where I had the first time I took it four years ago! lol God is GOOD! So, for a bit I thought that meant I was going to be able to get into the pre-calc 1 class, but nope, the level I placed into is like a weird off-shoot class so I'm taking advanced algebra... again. lol I took that in high school, but they don't care at the college so I have to take it again. It should be okay though and is probably a much needed review. When I got home I went to register and first I couldn't because they'd entered the wrong results for me into the computer. *shakes head* Figures. lol But I called the assessment office and they got it fixed real quick so I was able to register for the math class and pay for that and the English class that I'm taking as well. I'll only be going to school two days a week for four hours each of those days next quarter! Oooh... exciting! So, what will I do with those extra days I'll have? Well, besides homework, I'm probably going to find another job I can have during the day to make some more money because now I owe my parents money for the car I just got. ;) lol Mind you, it was a really good deal for the car though and it's certainly not near as much as we could have spent on one so that's good and just one more reason to be thankful to God, as always. :D Yay God!

What else? I don't know what my schedule is for this weekend yet because my boss put up the wrong one. lol Oops. So hopefully I'll find out shortly before I go to bed or in the morning so that I know if I should show up tomorrow or not. lol Oh, and the site section is up now with some new link buttons, but the section about me still needs a whole lot of work so that one's going to have to wait for a while. The nav for this layout is on the graphic right above the side column. :) Anyway, I guess I'd best be off for a little reading before bed. Nighty night!

I'm feeling much better now than I was the last time I posted. God is good and if all's according to His plan, I'll be okay and get into the math class if He wants me to. :) So, what I'm going to do is download the practice test from the school website and so what I can and then the stuff I don't remember how to do, I'm going to ask the nice folks at the math lab at school to help me with. ;) Hopefully that won't be a problem because technically you're supposed to be enrolled in a math class to get help from them, but there's gotta be someone willing to help me jog my memory for taking the math assessment again. So, Monday is the math lab and possibly also taking the test that day, either that or I'll take the test on Tuesday. It depends on if I feel comfortable with it or not and also how long the assessment office is open. lol ;) So, for those of you that don't mind, if you'd like to pray that I place into the same level I did last time I took the test, that'd be totally awesome and much appreciated. :D

Let's see, in other news... yesterday I couldn't get into my first class because the door was locked when I got there! lol Yes, I was a bit late, but that's happened before and to other people too and the door's never been locked. I figure that someone didn't unlock it the right way in the morning or something. Anyway, I didn't feel like banging on the door for someone to let me in and having everyone stare at me so I just went and read one of the chapters from the book for that class instead. ;) lol Then I went to oceanography where, for Friday humor(every Friday we get to hear oceanography jokes, lol), my teacher told us the following riddle:

Why do fish prefer salt water?

Now, while you all ponder that, I'll post some more and then you can find the answer at the bottom of this post. ;)

So yes, work after school yesterday where I also read more from my archeology book. My second test in that class is on Wednesday so I've got to make sure I get all the chapters read. I think I've only got two more to read though which should work out just dandy. I figured that saving the reading until the last week or two before the test was a good way to go because hopefully that way I'll be able to remember things from the readings for the test. I'm not going to like this test at all though because it's all on the so-called "evolution" of people. Bleeblee, blah, blah. lol I think the whole thing's pretty stupid and basically want to raise my hand during class and say something like, evolved from monkeys my A$$! So if you couldn't tell, I don't believe what I'm learning right now so the moment the test is over, all knowledge of that part of the course will dissapear from my mind. lol

And lastly, well, I thought I was over Brian, but then I wasn't and now I think I am again. *shakes head at self and sighs* Man, I've got some sort of problems. ;) lol Basically though, what I just figured on yesterday was that Brian knows I like him(or at least did) and so he's nice to me, but he doesn't like me that way so oh well. These things happen. So I still think Brian's cute and nice and I like him as a friend. That's good, right? lol Oh, and the answer to the riddle is this.

Because pepper water makes them sneeze! ;) lmao Funny, huh? Hehehe.

I'm going to try not to drag this complaint on too long, but I need to get it out so that hopefully I can stop being upset over it. So today was when I was allowed to register for my classes next quarter and everything should have gone off without a hitch, but did it? No. My mom got online to register for me and called me just as I was getting to school saying that it wouldn't let her register me for the math class I have to take; it said I was not allowed to because I hadn't placed into it, etc. But see, I did place into it. I placed into it over three years ago when I first took the test in my second year of high school! So, obviously I'm like, what they hey, and went to find out who I'd talk to about getting that fixed so that I could get into the class since I have to take it to get the degree at the end of next quarter. Now here's the part that really got me perturbed and I'm going to try really hard not to type any of the mean cuss words that are in my head right now over it. They told me to go down to the assessment office and they should be able to get it fixed for me. I go and explain my problem to the lady and she asks me when I took the test and I tell her and she goes, "It's only valid for two quarters." BULL S***. I was not happy and I had to like push her into setting up a time to take the assessement for me instead of her asking me if I'd like to schedule to do it like she should have. Anyway, I did that before my first class and I was pretty ticked the rest of my classes. Then I went to pick up my mom and told her about it and she thought that was pretty stupid too and there had to be some way around it because for goodness sakes, I still have my results from that test! So I try to call to talk to an advisor or councellor and they like never answer their phones. Finally I got all excited that someone answered, but they put me on hold... twice, in the same phone call! So I gave up and my mom and I went back by the school to see if I could make an appointment. Yeah, the next available appointment is not till December so that's really pointless. Then they guy said that I should go down to the assessment office and talk to them so my mom said I should try again. The same mean, nasty lady was there still. Grr. Basically she was really cocky and quite rude and told me that I'm stupid she already told me they're only good for two quarters and that there's no way around it, duh. Then my mom mentioned why no one said that when I took the test for running start like, whatever, almost four years ago, and the lady was further rude in saying that she's the one who tells all the kids before the assessment that they'd better do well and take math right away, blah, blah, blah. Sure, I'm supposed to remember that after four years. Right. *rolls eyes* Man, maybe it's partly 'cause I'm on my period, but she really pissed me off and I can't seem to get over it yet and I said and thought some not so nice things about her, not to her face though. So yeah, and it makes it worse that you have to pay $16 to take the stupid ass test and if I can't remember enough to place at the same spot, I'm screwed and I think I'll just say f*** the degree! So yes, I'm pissed and wondering how I'll do on the test which I'll probably decide to take tomorrow after my classes. Fudge.

Oh, and to make this entry so that it's not entirely negative, I got a 99/100 on my second oceanography test. Got it back on Monday. That was nice.

I just finished my online mid-term for my online scriptwriting class. Whew, it was scary! lol It was only 25 multiple choice questions so I figured, you know, how hard could it be? It was kinda hard. Mostly though because I don't think some of the things were actually ever discussed! Garg. And then one of the questions really threw me off because I knew what the answer should be according to the definitions he gave us to study, but that wasn't one of the options! So, I got that one wrong and I got one other questions wrong, but that still leaves me with 92/100 so that makes me very happy and I'm definately thanking God for that. :) It's really good to pray before, during, and after tests, or so I've found it to be for me. Speaking of such, I had my second oceanography test on Wednesday and I was unsure of how I'd do because I was really confused with the homework assignments from the chapters the test was on, etc., but I prayed that God would help me remember everything I needed too and I don't know my grade yet, but I think I did pretty good. :) Hoping to get another A with that one, I'll find out on Monday how that went. :)

Other stuff going on... oh yeah! I hurt my poor vehicle on Monday morning on the way to school. I didn't get very far before I hit this metal object on the freeway and there was a very unpleasent sound when I went over it and up and down motion of the vehicle. *cringes* So I pulled over and, yeah, something was leaking. Mom says it looks like it was transmission fluid. My dad's going to try and have a look at it tomorrow morning to see if he can fix it or not and if there's anything else wrong. I felt really stupid though because it was definately one of those things that was my fault and was one of those, "what was I thinking?" sort of moments. Oh well though. So, either way, I need to earn some more money. I should have gotten a job with more hours some time ago, but I kept putting it off 'cause I like the theatre, etc. Money would be kinda good right now though so I need to do some looking around and hopefully I'll get something right after I get out of school this quarter or thereabouts. And at least I'll still be able to do the website for the theatre and maybe work a couple of days a week there so that could be nice, we'll see.

I know there's got to be more interesting things to say because I kept meaning to blog before this about different things, but alas, now I have forgotten them. At least for the moment. Oh, but I do remember I had yesterday off of school and that was nice and that I've been working on a new layout for this site. I've pretty much got it finished now, just needs to be sliced and coded. Hopefully with the new layout all of my original content will go back up as well. Anyway, I'm off now. I did not get enough sleep last night so I should really be getting to bed shortly. Got a few chores to do in the morning and then I need to continue writing my script because a minimum of five pages is due by Sunday evening(I'd prefer to turn it in on Sat. evening too) and I've not even finished one page. lol I'm having a little more trouble with it than I thought I would. ;) Nighty night!

No school today! Yay! :) lol That being so, I slept in this morning and it was very nice. :D Heh. And while I'm on the subject of school, Wednesday my archeology professor was back so that was good. :) He still sounded sick, though. Anyway, he passed back our tests that day, but before he did that he went over the class range. The total points you could get on the test was 123 and he said the class scored between 121 and 56. When he put that up there I was thinking, okay, I hope I got like a hundred or something! lol So then he did roll call and as your name was called, you walk up and find your test in the pile. As someone was looking through their's I saw my handwriting so when they were done I grabbed it and what did Holly's paper say she got? 121. lol I all of a sudden felt quite happy. :D Hehe. I think there was one other person in the class who may have gotten that as well. But anyway, we spent the whole class period going over the test. One person would read out the questions and then my teacher would call on people who'd gotten full credit on that one so everyone could hear what the right answer was. He'd call on two to three people for each question. So for the first question, he called on me first, and I read out my answer. Then he did the same for the next question, and the next one, and the next one! So by like the fourth or fifth question some of the other students were laughing and I was like, well, I guess they all know what score I got now! lol Oh well. The only one I didn't read out was the one I lost two points on because I didn't have any clue what the answer was! lol

I have to leave for work soon. We're opening The Incredibles tonight so it's probably going to be quite busy. lol I was hoping to get to watch it before hand when Brian K. ran through it to make sure there were no problems, but he didn't call like I asked. :( Oh well, I shall survive. Plus, it wouldn't be fair of me to try and make him run it at a time that would work for me and would be a pain for him, right? ;) I think I was going to say some other stuff as well, but all I can remember is that hopefully I'll get the grades for my two assignments from scriptwriting by the time I get home tonight. That'd be nice. :) I've got lots of junk to read for that class though and it's from a book that I'm finding quite dry and boring. I technically still have some to read from one of the books that I like, but I'm going to keep that one after the class is over and it's not imparative that I read it now. The dry one is kinda important though since it has to do with the last assignment after my five pages of screenplay, which I still need to write, but have a week to do at least. Anyway, guess I'd best be off for work now. Hope I survive the loudness of all the little kids and middle schoolers. ;) lmao I've done it before so I think I can do it again. Heh. TTFN!

Sunday was pretty darn slow at work. lol We actually had people for the first show, but just as last year, not a single person came to the later show. lol I figured that'd be the case, but the guys all seemed to be fairly optimistic and were thinking people would come. Usually it's the other way around with me being optimistic! lol I spent some time working on a friendship bracelet and read a bunch of HP while there as well. Didn't do much work as there wasn't much to be done. lol Oh well. ;) Oh, and as a side-note, Sunday was also the day that my BSB domain expired. Sad, but the Boys are being stupid so it's their fault and not mine. Ha!

Yesterday my archeology class was cancelled. :( So I only had one class yesterday and then I came home for a bit before my mom and I went out to get stuff done on the tires of each of our cars. We walked to dinner while they were working on them in the rain and wind. lol It was a little cold and rather wet, but it was still fun and I discovered that jojos dipped in ranch dressing are quite tasty. ;) Also went to work last night and found out that they hired two new people. Reason being that two people are leaving, Matt and Brian K., come the new year. I think they're both going off to school, not sure about Brian, but I know Matt is. I also offered to become a closer and my boss said we'd talk about that and it sounds hopeful. She also asked me what my mom thought about that and well, I don't think my mom would like it, but she'd probably deal with it. That reminds me, I forgot to tell her that I did that, should do that tonight. ;)

And my archeology class was cancelled again today. :( I really hope my teacher's all right. He's pretty old so it's a little scary so I've been praying that he feels better and comes back soon. :) So, instead of archeology this morning I went to the media center to watch an episode of Star Trek called "The City on the Edge of Forever." Unfortunately, it's required of my scriptwriting class. I guess it wasn't the worse thing ever, but I would not have elected to watch it. There was this one comical part that made me laugh though so I survived. ;) Then I went to oceanography where I was sort of drifting between paying attention and not doing so, but I'm pretty sure I still wrote down all the stuff that I needed at least. Then after that I still had two hours left before Wes' classes were over and I got to go home so I went back to the media center and watched two other videos for my scriptwriting class. They weren't terribly interesting either, but now I've only got two more things to watch which I might be finished with this week, we'll see.

After Wes was out of class we were walking up to his car talking about what we were going to do when we got home and I said first I was going to the polls to vote and he was too so he said he'd just drive us both there first before he dropped me back off at my car. So, I voted. I'm not going to write anything about who I voted for here because I don't want anyone saying any crap to me about it, it's annoying and I don't really care about it all that much and therefore don't want to get in a grudge match with anyone over it. lol But I did vote, even though my vote doesn't really count. All the commercials keep saying, "Vote November 2nd, your vote counts." No it doesn't! Even if a candidate won the popular vote(my vote and all the other citizens), someone else could still be elected president by the electoral votes. I'm not really sure how the whole thing works and it seems rather screwed up to me, but I know that it's the electoral votes that decide. Which, I suppose it's possible that my vote has something to do with the electoral ones, but not much and the whole thing is unconsitutional. Blah, blah. Enough of this junk on my blog, on to other things.

Okay, yeah, there are no other things! lol I guess I could express my argness on the fact that I still haven't gotten an assignment I turned in for scriptwriting almost three weeks ago graded yet. That's pretty annoying. Especially since that and the other assignment that was turned in almost two weeks ago and is obviously not graded yet either would be good things to have input on before I go writing my five pages of movie script in case there's a flaw in my story or something, ya know? Whatever. Anyway, I'm not really feeling badly now even though I've done all this griping so I'm just going to go. It'll be homework time soon. Joy. lol
