So today was really good, with the exception of a few minutes ago when I got annoyed. I'll get the tiny bad bit out of the way first and end my blog on a happy note, like it should be. So, what annoyed me, you may ask? Now that I'm becoming "manager" at the theatre, I've taken over doing the slide advertisement crap, and I mean crap. I've done some stuff to un-jumble it, but it's still pretty jumbled and people who are NOT in charge of the slide stuff, whether they are the boss or the boss' brother-in-law, keep promising to put slides in for people before asking me about it and the tray is already almost completely full anyway! So, when I was in at work a few days back, Wes said there were some slides dropped off with specific information. The person just assumed that they could have three slots in the carousel when before they were only using one. They did not ask me if that space was available or not. So, I just put in one of the three slides in place of the other. My boss forwards an e-mail from that person to me today, which I just read and replied to. They said they hadn't been notified that their slides had been changed out. Well, they didn't mention that in the note and I don't check the e-mail for the slides EVERY friggin' day so I also just now got the other one they'd sent me before telling me they were bringing the slides down. Anyway, she also said in the e-mail that she wanted all three slides run right away and that they needed to be placed evenly away from each other. Even if we had the space available, they'd be placed wherever the free slot was and that's that. Anyway, I'm just getting freakin' aggitated with the slide crap, but there's really not anything I can do about it so, oh well and on to the happy things!
I woke up this morning and had my breakfast drink and then quite quickly got started on my list of things to do. The first was to give the kitty litter box and thourough scrubing. I'll be honest, it was rather gross, but now it's all clean and filled with brand new litter, and that means my kitties will be happy, so yay! I felt quite accomplished after that. When I was finished with that, mom went out and got sandwiches. I got a meatball one because it's been a long time since I had one of those, and none of my other options sounded very good. Surprisingly, the meatball sub was pretty good. Yay. :) As I was eating I started watching Cadet Kelly on the Disney channel and then I just sort of got sucked in and my kitty boy came and snuggled all cute-like on the chair with me, so I just ended up watching the whole thing. lol
I was good after that though, and started working on my essay rough draft that I'd been putting off since Wednesday when I got the assignment. It was the easiest of the three essays we've had to write so far and it didn't take me that long to write. How nice. I even think the rough draft sounds pretty darn decent. Of course, I got all mixed up with having to cite stuff in MLA style, but I think I got most of it figured out and I'm sure my teacher will correct me on Monday if I need it. Most of what I got confused about was what I had to site. I know the basic thing with quotes and paraphrases, but the book we have for class with the MLA information in it is written in a manor that confuses me, so now I am unsure about some things and if I need to cite them or not. I don't think so, but yeah, the thing's confusing. They're not quotes or paraphrases so I wouldn't think I have to cite them, but, again, the stupid book confused me. No matter, I got my rough draft done and all the copies printed out so now I have no more homework for the weekend. WEE!
I was even super good and I helped my mom to make dinner! I feel like I've accomplished all this stuff today. lol There's still a couple things on my list, but they shall wait until tomorrow or Monday as I'd like to read more tonight and I have to get up early tomorrow for Church, plus work tomorrow as well.
I also watched a few episodes of Gilmore Girls with my mom and then we sat down at my computer and ordered our Disneyland passes. :D So, in I think about three weeks or so, my 5-day and my mom's 3-day park-hopper passes will come in the mail. Ooh... the excitement! lol There should be no reason I can't get my fill of Disneyland and California Adventure in five days time. lol ;) Hopefully my cousins passes don't have blackout dates for the time I'm down there either, because that'd be no fun. Anyway, that's pretty much what's happened today and now it's getting late so I'd better read before I have to go to sleep. Nighty night!

I have some rather interesting things to write about today. First off, I woke up and all was going good and well, except that I was bad and once again postponed doing a super good cleaning of the kitty litter box. It will have to be done tomorrow though. So, I got ready for work, grabbed my laptop for today since I would be there quite a while and have yet to start my essay rough draft. I also grabbed my book because I'd probably want to read for a while as well. When I got to the theatre and was getting out of my car, I realized I had completely forgotten to grab my purse. Don't know how that happened. lol Good thing my keys and cell phone were in my coat pockets and not my purse. ;)
Everything was going fairly normal. I turned on all the lights and the butter dispenser and threaded the projector. Wes was a little late, but he got there and helped me get everything else ready and checked my work on the projector and all that good stuff. His sister was also supposed to come in to work, but she didn't. We managed to get everyone through though; there was only maybe 40 people that came to the first show. I started the movie, everything was going fine and Wes decided he'd go hang out with his girlfriend until a bit before the movie was out because I didn't really need his help or anything.
So, a few people come out every once in a while wanting more popcorn, you know, basic stuff. Then I was just doing some stuff on the computer and this lady comes out and says, "There's something wrong with the movie." So I dash over and open the other door to the auditorium and sure engough, the screen's just white and there's no sound. So I run up stairs and it's still like that and I hit the stop button on the projector. I had turned the lights up when I ran into the projection room, so I looked at the projector to see if it was just something minor and I could fix it. Well, the first thing I noticed was that the film was all bunched up and one side of it was off the sprokets (not good). So, I'm sort of freaking out as I real quick made a little announcement to the people watching the movie that it was going to be a few minutes and I was calling someone to come help. Then I called Wes' cell phone and was all like, "Help!" lol He said to make another announcement that it might take a half an hour to fix so people were welcome to wait or we could give them their money back and give them free passes to come see the movie again. So, I did that. Surprisingly, I wasn't too nervous through that part - of having to tell them all that.
So, people came out and said that they wanted to get their money back so I started doing that. I went to print out some passes for them and the printer decided it didn't want to work anymore. Figures, eh? lol So I tried to re-boot everything, but it still didn't want to print so I had to hand write out passes for all the people that wanted to leave. That was fun. It got even more fun when Wes came downstairs and said he wasn't going to be able to fix it in time to get it back going again for that show, so then I got to write out passes for all the rest of the people too! lmao They were all pretty nice about it though, so that was good.
When there were only a few people left, just hanging around, Wes came back downstairs and said we weren't going to be having a second show today. I started cleaning up and all that good fun junk. It didn't take too terribly long to do that though, at least. Then Wes decided that he did want my help, after all, to fix the movie. Turns out that it got jammed (I'd try to explain where, but it wouldn't make sense to any of you anyway, lol) and the reason the screen was just white when I turned off the movie was because the light burned through the frame it was stuck at. Yup. Not the first time this has happened either. It happened back before I started working there when they showed The Patriot. Only that time, there were actually like flames on the screen! Yipes! Glad it didn't do that this time or I might have freaked out even more! I should mention that the light bulb that we use in the projector is quite dangerous. If you drop it when you're changing it out, it'll explode. Scary, huh? lol That's why I'm never going to be the one to do that. ;) lol Anyway, Wes showed me the bit of film where the hole was burned through it. It kinda looks cool, actually. He's going to keep it. He let me have a piece of that part that was just all mangled too. lol
So yeah, that's just where the fun began! The film was all messed up and when Wes was trying to get it off the platter on his own, it fell off. Or well, partially off. It would have been much worse if it had fallen off completely because then it would have just been in a huged, tangled pile on the floor. So, Wes and I started pulling off the reels by hand. It took us an hour to pull off about a third of one reel and there were at least four on there that all had to come off and be re-attached. Praise God that Wes' girlfriend was supposed to hang out with him tonight and she had nothing else to do, so she came down and relieved me to help Wes finish! Yay! lol I hope they're not there till too late though. I'm sure they'll still be there for a few more hours at least, but hopefully not till half way through the AM or anything like that. :/
So that was my day! lmao Interesting, huh? I'll also say that while I was giving people refunds and hand-writing passes for them, some of the ladiest were conjecturing that maybe it was all because of the full moon last night! lmao I thought that was flippin' hilarious. And, if I really wanted to be supersticious, I could say that it was also because I forgot my purse, that that was an ill omen. ;) I don't think that's the case though. I think it's just one of those lovely things that happens in life. Ah, joy. ;) Anyway, I got home when it was already half-way through SG-1, so I decided to wait and watch it later when it reapeats because I don't like missing the beginning of things, but now it's almost over and Atlantis will be starting shortly, so I shall be off now. *waves* Ta!

So, it's been a while since I posted. I'll try to re-cap. Sunday I worked. Not only that, but it was the first time I closed. Brian K. taught me how on Saturday night when I went back to work (you know, when I was actually supposed to be there, lol). It's really not too difficult, it's just that some of the stuff takes a while to do. So, of course, now that I've learned how to close, I'm all of a sudden scheduled to keep doing it! lol That and on Monday I went in to work and Brian K. goes, "So Holly, do you want an extra hour and a half on your paycheck this week?" *rolls eyes* Now, how did I know he was going to pawn his closing shift off on me? lol It was okay though and I ended up closing for him. He says now he owes me one, so at some point I get to cash in a favor from him. Don't know if I will or not since more hours means more money, but it's definately possible. We'll see. ;)
On Tuesday, my mom and I went to Wal*Mart in the afternoon, shortly after I got up. lol I sleep late a lot when I don't have classes or work. ;) I only got one thing there, and it was less than a dollar. lol I tried on a few clothing items, but didn't really end up liking how they looked on me. Blarg. After that, I got to come home and do homework. Egh. lol
Today I had classes once again. It's nice only having classes once in a week, though it will be better when I'm all done and don't have any more english or math! lol We got our third essay assignment today in english class. I'm not terribly thrilled with it, but I think I might be able to write something a little better than my last two essays since this one is not drawn entirely from my own, limited, personal experiances. Then in math was the second exam. I don't think I did very well on it. Hoping for a B though. It's funny, we had review time before the exam and the problems my teacher highlighted as being the easy ones were the ones I thought were kind of difficult and the ones that she said were harder were easier for me and more fun. Yes, I said fun in reguards to math. Believe it or not, I actually like math. I'm more partial to trig and geometry though. I've only done a little big of trig, but I liked it and it made sense to me. Unfortunately, I probably won't be learning more trig because I'd have to take other things to get up to it and it's just probably not going to happen. lol
Also, over the past few days, I've managed to get all the fanlistings of mine that I'm keeping moved to their new locations. I made a few more new layouts for a couple of them as well. And even though I haven't actually taken down my old fanlisting collective yet, I put up my new one which is located here. Nothing fancy, but it serves it's purpose well enough for me. :) I actually applied for two new fanlistings recently as well. lol I don't think I'll get one of them, but one never knows. I'm going to try and limit myself and not apply for any more though, at least not for a while.
Let's see... what else? I've got two people who were previous website clients of mine who now both want some work done on their sites again, so it looks like I'll be doing that. One of them will just be a few minor changes for now and the other one is pretty much a complete site over-haul. Fun, fun, right? lol Hopefully neither should be too difficult. Also, I'm going to get paid for it, so that will help me in paying my parents back for my car. lol The sooner I get that paid-off, the better. :) I think that's it for now, so I shall be off to read more of Rakkety Tam by Brian Jacques. It's about woodland creatures battling evil vermin! Maybe some of you have read the Redwall book, huh? I have them all. Anyway, wanna find out what happens next. TTFN!

Wow, I'm so not smart. lol I just drove down to work and then came right back again because when I got there they all said they thought I wasn't supposed to be there. So, I checked the schedule and sure enough, I'm scheduled for the second show today, but not the first. *shakes head* Silly, silly me. I expect that when I come back in later, they'll all make fun of me. Seems to be the most likely of situations. ;)
In other news, guess what came in the mail today! My Star Wars edition of the Game of Life!! :D Yay! And I'm very glad that it's in pretty good condition like the guy described. All the brand new ones were way too expensive, so I got a used one. I counted though, and all of the pieces are there and everything still looks fairly new so that's very nice. :) Haven't gotten to play yet and it will probably be a while before I do, but if not before, I'm going to take it down to Cali with me and hopefully my cousins will play with me at least. ;)
Humm... nothing else to really say now. I should be off and get some fanlisting stuff taken care of. After that, who knows what I'll do. At least last night I got the password cookies for a script I've been working on to finally do what I wanted them to. lol TTFN!

This morning, I got up early and headed out to the screening for The Pacifier. It ended up being really easy to find the place it was being held at, but once I got into the building, it took me a bit to figure out where I was supposed to go. Right when I got in there, I asked the person at the front desk where to go and he told me. So, I went, but then I didn't really see any signs of where the actual auditorium was. So, I went to the bathroom and got some water from the drinking fountain, then decided to try some of the doors and one of them opened and there it was! lol I was the first person there and only about seven or eight more people showed up for the screening. It was a pretty good movie though. Cute, funny, etc. The beginning was a little weird, but then it got better. It wasn't quite what I expected, but it was good. :) There's a few pretty funny parts and couple neat action sequences.
After the movie was over, I called up my mommy and asked if I could stop by her work and have lunch with her. Of course, she said yes. I went by Taco Bell and then drove to her work and we had lunch. It was nice and I stayed for a bit just to hang for a while and decide if I wanted to drive to the mall and buy Legos or not. The Legos won out. lol I went and bought the newer version of the Hogwarts Express set. $43 after tax is a lot to spend on Legos, but I've been thinking about getting it for quite some time and I got my tax returns on Monday so my mom actually sort of encouraged me. lol I was good though. The annoying cashier tried to get me to buy more, but I declined. Yay me! lol I had lots of fun putting it together when I got home. :D
After the mall, I stopped by the arcade before coming home. I hadn't been there since, like, the summer. Woah. I only played three games though; decided not to stay too long. Man, after only one game of DDR, my legs were so not happy. lol I have very tight muscles and I didn't stretch at all beforehand so, yeah, the leg muscles were not happy. At least I made it out to my car and was able to drive home. ;)
I was also website-productive today too! While mom and I watched Curly Sue on TV, I was working on Portal, my upcoming Stargate TCG. :) I made up some more of the pages, etc. Most of what's left now is just to make more card decks, finish my member management script, and add more games. I figure that will take a while still and I'm going on vacation for two weeks in April, so I'm hoping to open it shortly after I get back. We'll see how it goes. The other day though, I made little pixel images for the "currency" and, well, I like them. lol I'm not going to say more though because I've gotta leave some of these things for surprises when it opens. ;) Hehe.
Tomorrow morning I get to wake up early to go build Because of Winn-Dixie. Oh joy. lol Somehow I'll manage, I hope. Tomorrow will be a long work day for me though because I'll be down to build the movie and run through it, then I'll be there for regular work later, and now I'm also staying to learn how to close. My boss scheduled me to close, but I haven't done it before so I start learning tomorrow. It shouldn't be too difficult, again, I hope. ;) lol
My paycheck yesterday was very nice and I think my next one will hopefully be real nice as well. I'm getting a bunch of hours this week since it's break for the K-12 students here. Plus, I'm going to ask my boss if she's going to give me a raise yet. She's given the others raises when they've started closing, and not only will I be doing that, but I've also been taking on a lot more responsibilities and manager-type duties, so I think it's time that I got a raise from $8 an hour. Technically, I should be making a bit more than that already since I've been there for two years and only received one raise and it's sort of standard that you should get a raise each year, but that's not a law or anything, so what's a girl to do? Anyway, I'm going to nicely, and politely, bring that up and see what she thinks about it.
And while I'm at work for all these hours this week, I get to do homework! Yay! *rolls eyes* I was being sarcastic there, if you couldn't tell. I have a math exam on Wednesday (yay for no school on Monday at least), so my teacher gave us a practice test to help us. Hopefully I'll do okay on it like I did the last one. I'm not bothered by that at all. My english teacher had to annoy me though. She assigned us a chapter to read in one of our text books, that's fine, but the other thing aggitates me. See, not yesterday, but the last Wednesday, she told us to have the whole novel that we have to read finished by the class period yesterday. She also told us to do a reading journal on the second chapter. I asked her, "Should I do journals on the other chapters, too?" She said, "No, just the second one." So, I did that, and I read the whole rest of the book. Apparently I'm the only one though because yesterday it seemed that no one else had finished and she assigned us to finish the book and write reading journals for ALL of the chapters. Arg. It wouldn't have bothered me if she'd told me that when I asked her before, but now I'll have to go back and skim all of the chapters to write journals on them. Annoying. Garg. At least I feel a bit better getting that out here. ;) lol
Not really any other news at the moment. I should get myself off to sleep so that I can wake up in time to take a shower in the morning. Otherwise, it just wouldn't be pretty. lmao Oh, and I might possibly be doing some website work for some people soon so that would be nice. Then I'd get extra money so I can pay my parents back for my car faster. I'm not holding out for them though, because it's very likely that I won't end up doing anything for them. But, it could be in God's plan for me to do it, so we'll see. Well, I'm off now then. Night night!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope you all had a lovely day, I certainly did. :) No secret admiring boys, as usuall, but I got better things than that, actually. ;) lol Of course, I've got love from God and my parents and family, so that's the main good thing. I also got some physical things too. I found a chocolate orange on my placemat this morning when I got out of bed. Then, as I was getting ready to leave, I noticed there was a little snow flurry going on outside! God gave me pretty snow! :D None of it stuck, but it looked really pretty coming down and it was nice while it was here. :)
I went to school and to the day of rememberance for the Japanese-American internment during WWII for english class. Our class time happened to be during the last portion of the events for the day and we watched three videos. They were pretty interesting and I learned a bunch of new things. Some of it was sad though, of course. At least it wasn't as sad as watching movies about the consentration camps though. *shudders* Anyway... this is supposed to be a happy post... moving on. I got the final draft of my essay turned in and then went to math class. That was interesting for a few minutes at the beginning. Why? Because the first thing my teacher said when she got into the class was, "Does anyone here watch Stargate?" lmao I thought I didn't hear right at first. Then I raised my hand enthusiastically 'cause, you know, I love Stargate, but she didn't see me cause someone else walked in the way so I just put my hand down. lmao Apparently though, her daughter is my age and loves SG-1 and wants to go to the convention. I want to go too, but it's so dang expensive, I can't afford that. My teacher's a little off, so that's why she just randomly says these sorts of things in class. lol It's always cool to hear about another Stargate fan though. The rest of the class was, well, math. lol Nothing really special.
I came home and wished my mommy a happy V-day and then she asked if I was ready for my other surprises (the card that came with my chocolate orange said there'd be more when I got home). I put down my stuff first and then picked up the envelope from my parents. When I did that though, it revealed a piece of mail below it that was for me. The IRS sent me a Valentine's gift in the form of my tax return! lmao That's always a nice sort of gift, to get a couple hundred dollars in the mail. Heh. But so yes, the envelope from my parents held a little booklet of paper strips stapled together in it. The front cover says "We're so proud of our College Graduate." So, yes, it's an early graduation thing, since I'm not actually done yet. ;) lol But, here's a page-by-page breakdown for you all.
1. We're so proud of our College Graduate.
2. Because you have accomplished a goal, you are awarded -->
3. A trip to California. (At this point, I stopped and gave my mommy a big hug, since that's what I've been chattering on about the past few weeks. Then I was like, "There's more?" and continued to the next page.)
4. This coupon good for a Park Hopper pass to Disneyland. (Ahhhhh!)
5. This coupon good for a night at Medieval Times. (Triple yay!)
6. This coupon good for a Birthday party with family.
7. This coupon is good for a lot of fun on vacation.
8. We love you, Mom and Dad.
*big, beaming smile* That's a whole lot of stuff that I was going to pay for myself to do, and now it's become my graduation/b-day gift given early on Valentine's day. :) Mom and I are going to look at flight times tomorrow and call my cousins and try to get things figured out. We'll probably be down there for my birthday so that's where the b-day with family coupon comes in. Daddy won't be coming though. :( He doesn't have vacation time for that and he and Kenny went down back in October already. Hopefully he won't forget to feed the kitties that whole time. lol My mom also had sweet n' sour meatballs and pasta ready for me so I ate real quick before I had to go to work.
Work went pretty darn slow. I took cookies, but only one or two of them were eaten. Just wait until some of the other boys come in though, they'll be sure to do me proud and scarf down on the cookies I made them all. lol I also talked to my boss to make sure it was going to be okay for me to be gone for about a week and a half to go to California. Looks like it shouldn't be a problem, so that's very good. :) Not many people showed up for the movie. I don't blame them. I don't think that The Aviator is really a Valentine's day sort of movie. *laughs*
I got home and watched some SG-1 with mom and then we watched a bit of Whose Line before dad finally got home. He ended up having some after-hours calls so he didn't get back until half an hour ago. I wished him a happy V-day and he gave my mom and I each a bag of Dove dark chocolate Promises. :) Yummy. And now, here I am blogging and listening to music. I'd best finish this up though. I should try and get either my take-home math quiz done or read more of my novel for english class tonight. I might even do both, we'll see. Anyway, I'm off now. Night night and I hope you all had a lovely day! :)

So, tonight was the comedy night with Don Friesen at the theatre. Oh man, it was so funny! lol There were a lot of jokes that I already knew, but there was a whole lot of new material too so that was awesome. One of my favorites was a line he added to a previous joke. If you went through my old archives, you'd stumble across an entry about the "lololololol" joke. This time he added some to it. It was so funny! He was talking about "roflol" and then about how some people make up their own things (don't we all know it) and he said, "MCOMNAFML!" Which, of course, stands for "Milk Came Out My Nose And Fried My Laptop." HAHAHA! I majorly cracked up at that, mostly because I can relate to that stuff, ya know. ;) It was really awesome though. At the end, he said his DVD was finally done and he had some for sale afterward so my parents agreed to split the cost with me and I bought one. And, since my parents didn't have any cash, I wrote a check and went to get it and Don signed it to me. It says "Holly, best wishes, Don." lol Creative, I know, but it's still cool to get things signed. ;) I'm watching the DVD right now too. *laughs*
In other news, tomorrow is the pink heart day. Not expecting anything more than maybe chocolate and/or flowers from my parents. That's typically the way it goes. lol I made the boys at work chocolate chip cookies today though. I'm taking them tomorrow. I even tried to get creative and I cut a heart out of paper and used it as a stencil to put red and purple sprinkles on them. Most of them don't really look like hearts, but a few of them came out really nicely, so yay for that. lol The guys probably won't think much of my hard work trying to get hearts on them, but they'll at least be happy they get free cookies to eat. lol
Also, in my english class tomorrow, we're going to a little seminar sort of thing. Could be interesting, could be boring, we'll see. Hopefully it will be okay. I also have to turn in the final draft of my second essay. I think it's all right. I couldn't figure out how to add a whole lot more from my point of view like my teacher suggested, but I tried and I still think it's better than my first essay. Hopefully I'll get a good score again, or at least a passing one. Well, I'm off now. Nighty night!
Saturday, February 12, 2005
Hey people! I know, I haven't posted for a few days here. Why? Because I'm a lazy bum, that's why! lol I've had plenty to post about, I just haven't done it. lmao So now I shall attempt to recall all that I kept thinking I should post about, but never did. ;)
For starters, I'm working on moving a number of my fanlistings and giving the rest of them to new owners, as some of you may have noticed. Most of the ones I'm keeping, I'm just moving to a newer domain and keeping the same layouts, etc., but some of them are getting nice little face-lifts. :) I made new layouts for the Nick Carter and "Yes I Will" fanlistings. I especially like the one for the Nick FL. I couldn't resist using those HQ, untagged TV Guide pics again. ;) lol I'm hoping to start working on a few more new layouts soon and getting the other fanlistings taken care of. I'm getting a lot of offers to take some of the fanlistings so I'm going to be choosy on those ones. ;) lol
Wednesday, I spent most of my english class reading our assigned novel while waiting for my turn to talk to the teacher about my reflection essay rough draft. I ended up being the last one. lol That's good though, because then no one else was there to hear the comments. Most of them were really good though, the comments, that is. :) I don't have to do too much revising this time for my final draft, so that made me happy. Last time, I rewrote almost the entire thing. lol So, I'm still not sure how to fix up some of my essay, but I'm working on it and I definately think it's better than my first one at least. :)
I skipped my math class entirely on Wednesday too. Yeah, I was bad. I actually went into class, sat down, pulled out all my books and stuff, and sat there for a few minutes. Then, I was thinking and I decided I really didn't want to be there that day and so what if I miss a quiz, and so I left! lol And when I got home I did half of my homework for english class so I felt rather ahead of things even though I skipped math. :P
Yesterday I went down to the theatre around 9:30 in the morning and I was there for five hours building the movie and then running through it. I built the movie with Wes this time and we only made a couple of minor boo-boos so that was good. Wes hasn't been building movies very long either, so that we managed on our own so well was a very good thing. ;) Then we watched the movie. Or, I should say, I partially watched it while I did my homework because I'd already seen The Aviator and didn't particularly want to watch it again. It was all right and some of it was interesting, but it's really not my type of movie and it wasn't one of those ones I want to see more than once. Anyway, I got to go home for a while after the movie ended before having to go back to the theatre to work the show. lol
Today was mostly spent at work as well. Inbetween shows, Laura, Zach, and I played card games. I won at B.S. :D lol Then we had a speed tournament and Laura did really good, which was sort of unusual. She must have been practicing since the last time I played her. ;) lol Then we started playing Egyptian War (or whatever the heck it's called) and I ran out of cards and kept trying to slap back in on doubles or sandwhiches. Then, while I was battling and trying to get back in, Brian J. comes over and slaps his way into the game. He ended up winning!! It was crazy! lol But, it was also lots of fun and some good laughter. Brian K. wouldn't join in though; he just kept playing his video game on the computer. So sad. His loss though because, in my opinion, group card and board games are more fun that one-person video games, but I know that others might not feel the same.
Well, there's not too much else to tell. I am going to see The Pacifier this coming Thursday though. :) I'm going to the screening so I'm excited. Hopefully, I'm going to start going to screenings more regularly now that I'm becoming "manager" at the theatre. No one else really ever goes and I think it's a really good idea for SOMEONE to at least see the movies before we get them so we know about them and can tell the customers what we think, etc. I can tell you one thing though, I'm not going to any of the scary horror movies or sick, nasty movies and hopefully we won't be getting any of those at our theatre anyway. ;) That's it for now. I'm off to continue my chat with Sam now and maybe I can convince her to play some online games against me. :) TTFN!

When I got home from work this evening, there was a fortune cookie on my placemat. When my dad gets his rice bowl thing every once in a while, he now saves the fortune cookies for me since I like them. *shrugs* They taste good. Anyway, you know how a lot of them now aren't really "fortunes?" Well I got one today that's actually good even though it's not like they used to be. lol It says, "You'll accomplish more later if you have a little fun this weekend." Humm... sounds good to me. And, I will probably only have little fun this weekend as the only thing planned is the comedy show, which, at least, should get me laughing pretty darn good that evening. lol
In other news today, mom and I went to work at the same time today so that we could get things sorted out with some of the stuff I recently took over and both of us would be on the same page with it. We were planning to go to see a movie when we were done with that(oh, and we went and had lunch first, too), but then we were about finished when we both looked at our watches and realized we weren't going to make that movie. Ooops. lol Anyway, not a movie either of us were really wanting to see that badly, so it's okay. Instead we went and did a bit of shopping. I was tempted to buy the Lego Hogwart's Express set, but then mom helped me talk myself out of it and whatnot. *sigh* Oh well, maybe another time when I've got $40 to throw around. ;) lol
In other news, on Friday night I bought the Star Wars edition of The Game of Life off of eBay. Yup. I looks like fun and it shall hopefully come in the mail in a couple of weeks or so. :) Now the challenging part will be trying to find someone to play with me. I talked to Tammy for a bit today and told her she'd have to come over once I got it and play through it with me, but I don't think I should hold out for that. She says she's really busy right now, and that's fine, but I'm not going to hold up the whole friendship on my own and I'm starting to think it's falling apart again. I don't know, but sometimes, when they all say they've just been really busy and can never even take five minutes to call me and say they got my message and they'll call me back when they've got more free time, I think they don't particularly care about being friends with me. But enough of that.
Yesterday I got my first essay from english class back. The day we turned them in, we filled out a sheet saying what we thought our grade would be. I gave myself a low B. What grade did I actually get? To my surprise, I got a 93 out of 100. Personally, I thought my essay rather sucked. Anyway, I'm still working on my second one. I would have been due tomorrow except that we missed that day of class last week so now it's due this coming Monday. That's good for me. lol My teacher should be going over my rough draft with me in class tomorrow and then I just have to do my final over the weekend. Hopefully we won't have much, if any, other homework than that. Quite nice, that would be. (Yes, that was my Yoda-speech in preperation for my new board game.) I just read the first chapter in our assigned reading book this evening. At least it's short. And it's not horrible thus far, but it's really not sparking my interest yet either and if this wasn't a novel that I had to read for class (and eventually write an essay on, of course), then I probably would have put it down after the first or second page. Oh well. I have been forced to read worse in the past, I'm sure.
Humm... don't think I really have anything else to talk about now.

On Tuesday I managed to get through all the things on my to-do list. :) I put up my curtains in my room... finally. lol They make my room look much prettier and I like them a lot. :) Yay! lol I also tried to write my essay for english, but it only ended up being two pages double-spaced and that all pretty much sucked except for, perhaps, my two introductory paragraphs. :( I was stressing and thinking that I wouldn't go to school the next day when the rough draft was due because I didn't have anything worth while to turn in. God had other plans though; REALLY good plans. :D
So, I woke up yesterday morning and told my mom I probably wasn't going to go to school, but then I figured it'd cause problems if I didn't so I might as well and I just ended up printing out what I had for my essay even though I thought it was terrible. So, I went to school and got into the classroom and a minute or so after I sat down, one of the guys in my class came in and asked me and the other girl sitting in there if we knew that class was cancelled? I was all like, "It is?" lol Apparently, the note was only on the other door because I went and looked, and sure enough, no class! I was SOOOO happy! lol Now I have more time to try and manage my essay. I'm planning on working on it some today, but I still just don't know what to write so we'll see how that goes. Anyway, since I didn't have my first class, my mom met me for lunch at Pizza Hut. Oh, it was so good, but then when I figured out how many points the pizza and the root beer I'd had came out to when I got home after school, it was BAD! lol Mom and I also went over to the mall and walked around for a bit, but I didn't end up getting anything. After that, it was time for me to go back to school for math class.
I turned in my take-home math quiz with the last answer blank. I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to do it. My teacher claims she went over it in class, but I didn't remember at all. Oh well. The rest of the class was really boring. For those of you who have taken algebra, we're doing completing the square and quadratic models right now. Blarg. I remember some of it, but not all of it, and I must admit that I'm a bit confused, but I'm not sweatin' it. I should try and study more for the next exam though because I'm not sure I can manage a good grade as easily with the material that will be on it. We'll see.
After school I got to come home for about fifteen minutes before I had to go off to work. Nothing big there. Then I came home and found the full version of "Incomplete" at Not-Like-You.com. The quality at the beginning of the file isn't very good, but it's not too bad and it's the whole, very pretty, song so I can't really complain. Still one thing I'm wondering about though, does it seem like, in most of the songs and clips we've heard, it's more like the Nick and Alex show than the Backstreet Boys? Where are the solos from my other Boys? *sniffs*
All righty, I suppose I've blogged for long enough. Time to find something else to keep myself occupied for a bit. I could try and work on my essay, but I don't know how that would work if I don't really have any ideas. lol I must at least try some today though rather than put it all off until the day before I have class again. I must try not to procrastinate. lol TTFN!

What do ya know, when I posted last night and said I was going to go make a new layout for this site... I actually did! Woah! lol I was going to put it up last night when I finished it too, but then I realized it was really late and I should go to sleep so I post-poned until now. ;) So, it's kind of simple, but I like it. I could not resist the untagged TV Guide shots of Nick. *sigh* I try, but it doesn't work. lmao I also used a few lyrics from "Incomplete" since, well, I'm STILL listening to it on repeat. I've decided that I like the clip very much and I hope the rest of the song is just as lovely. Anyway, hope you all like the layout and please leave comments on the taggy if you would. :) Guess I'd best be off now to do homework and other things on my to-do list. Oh joy. lol
