Greetings from California! :) Mom and I got in late Tuesday evening. Our plane was early, but we had to wait ten minutes on the tarmack because there was still another plane in the gate we were supposed to go in to. lol That made us on-time. ;) We got our rental car after all of our checked luggage was collected. The rental car was actually a lot nicer than I thought it would be. It's kinda cute really. Heh. Unfortunately, it took my mom and I a while to get to sleep that night and then the neighbors here started running a chain saw at like 8:30 in the morning! You know, I'm pretty sure there's a law that says you can't be doing that stuff until nine or something. If not, there should be! Gar!

Well, after they were doing that for a while my mom and I were both awake so we just got up and started getting ready. We went over to my grandparents' house and visited and had a nice lunch. Then a little after that, we left and came back here for a bit before heading off to Disneyland. Actually, we spent that day in California Adventure and never got to go into Disneyland. Both parks were PACKED. There were hour to two hours or more waits for pretty much every ride. My mom and I wandered for quite a while and then watched the Aladdin musical. When we got out of that, my cousins C.J. and Kevin were waiting for us. We FINALLY went on our first ride a bit after we met up with them. We went on, I think, ONLY that one ride the whole day! *looks around thinking how sad that is* Kevin and C.J. had a water polo game that they wanted to go to and my mom was getting tired so we all left and I went to watch the polo game. It was more just a scrimage, and I was the ONLY one watching. lol It was all right. I was hoping we'd go back to Disney, but we didn't get back here till late and it wouldn't have been much worth it. Blarg. So much for the first day at Disneyland.

At about 4:20 AM this morning the Santa Ana winds started going. They were LOUD. They woke all of us up and I know that at least my mom and I only got short bits of sleep after they started until about 8:30 AM this morning. So, I'm running on quite the lack of sleep right now. lol Hoping I can catch up tonight, but the news said the winds are probably going to start back up again early tomorrow morning. Joy. *is being sarcastic* Anyway... my mom went to visit my grandparents again and I stayed here waiting for Kevin to wake up and for C.J. and my Aunt Terry to get back. We got to Disneyland around 1 PM or something. Again, not really what I had been hoping for, but oh well. We went on the Tower of Terror, and Aunt Terry was very funny since it was her first time. lol The picture of her was priceless because she was gripping Kevin's leg with one hand and C.J.'s with the other. lmao It was great. ;) We pretty much left after that one ride though because Kevin had to get back for work (the line for the ride was over an hour), and C.J. and I decided we were hungry.

After dinner C.J. and I went back over to Disney and first went to use our Fast Passes for the Tower of Terror (we got them earlier right before we got in line so we could go again, lol), but there was a LINE for the Fast Passes! It was crazy! So, to bide our time, we went to the tortilla factory and got free tortillas. They are very good right out of the machine and nice and warm still. ;) Then, we went back over to Tower of Terror and there was STILL a line for the Fast Passes. We got in it anyway. After standing there for about a minute, one of the worker guys came by to tell us that one of the elevators wasn't running so they were going to extend all the Fast Passes for the rest of the day and we could come back later, otherwise it would be a 45 minute wait for FAST PASSES. That, obviously, didn't seem very fast to C.J. and I, so we went over to Disneyland. We checked the board with wait times on it and saw that the Haunted Mansion was the slowest at 30 minutes, so we headed over there. When we were in line I said that we should have a contest in the "stretching room" once the lights went out on who could scream the loudest. lol When we got in there and that happened though, C.J. forgot. lol I almost did to, but remembered at the very last moment. The lights had gone out and we saw the hangman above us already and no one else had screamed yet, so I let out a nice loud and long scream and kicked it off for everyone else. *beams* Yes, I'm happy about that. C.J. gave me high fives after the lights came back on when she could see my hand. lol

After that we were going to go on Big Thunder Mountain, but the line for that was about an hour and a half, so we passed. We went back over to California Adventure and went on the Tower of Terror. Then we took pictures in one of those old-fasioned British telephone booths. C.J.'s came out great, and I thought mine had come out nice as well, but when I loaded it on my laptop a few minutes ago, it was totally blurred. *sniff* I'll have to try again next week. We looked in one of the shops for a few minutes, and then we had to leave so that C.J. could meet up with her friends. They're going on an over-nighter to some big water polo thing. So, again, I didn't get to be there all day like I wanted. :( Oh well. I've still got three more days left on my pass though, so hopefully those ones will go okay. I've gotta find someone to go with me one of the days though, and I'm not sure how that will work out, or if I'll have to go alone. It's really not fun to go alone. However, I did find out that when I go the day of my birthday, I get a sticker! lmao Woo haw! Might get something else, but I don't really know, and probably won't find out till then.

Humm... I hear the wind picking up a bit. Hopefully it won't keep us up half the night again though. Gotta wake up fairly early tomorrow. Not for Disneyland, but hopefully it'll be an okay day. I'll have to try and remember to bring stuff to keep me busy though because it's possible that I might get bored in the early part of the day. lol Might ask mom to cruise around for the later part of the day and see if I can spot where the Backstreet Boys are doing their video, but that probably won't be too likely. Not unless my Uncle who's into doing music videos manages to be a part of it and thinks of calling me, but that seems even less likely than mom and I just happening to drive to where part of it's being shot. I'm just being silly anyway. Well, the headache is coming and it's definately time for sleep so I shall bid you all farewell until I can type again; perhaps in a day or two. Nighty night!

Well, I got an A in my english class. :D I was rather surprised since, in my opinion, my final paper was REALLY bad. lol I'm guessing, though, that she graded easy on them because we weren't really given the amount of time a paper like that calls for, and she hadn't explained it very well to us either, since she missed a day of class. Anyway, that was happy to find out late last night, and I was almost thinking I might make my total GPA for all my college quarters 3.5 or above so I could graduate with honors, but I missed it by a bit. I think it was a 3.46 or 3.48. Both are good, and honors is not that big of a deal, so it's okay. I hadn't even thought about graduating with honors from college until the other day when I was cruising the website trying to find out when my diploma gets sent to me. lol Be warned though, one C- can really mess up your GPA in college. lol ;)

In other news, I think I'm pretty much done packing. The rest of it is just grabing a few things a bit before we leave. Hopefully I've not forgotten anything. lol I'll have to have my mom read over my list again before we go for one last double-check. It's kind of weird though, because I have extra room in my bags, and normally that's not the case. I suppose that's a good thing though, as I'm sure to buy something while in CA. Oooh... and did you all hear? The Boys are going to be shooting their video for "Incomplete" this Thursday in the L.A. area, and I'll be down there then too! lol I told my mom we might have to go driving around some that day. ;) Don't know that we will though. Might just go to Disneyland because it's not very likely that I could figure out where they're shooting the video.

And one last thing before I go, if anyone wants to e-mail me while I'm on vacation, you can do so at this address. I won't be checking it very often, I don't think, but I'm sure I'll check it a few times at least. :) Well, I guess that's it for now. I just have to bide my time until it's time to go. Joy, joy. lol TTFN!

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many hold people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!" - Matthew 27: 51-54

Happy Easter/Resurrection Day! :D The above verses are talking about what happened the moment Jesus died on the cross. I know a lot of you who read my blog are not Christians, and I generally try not to get too heavy into anything because I don't want to pressure anyone into what I believe, but if any of you ever have any questions about God and Jesus and what I believe, please e-mail or IM me and I will tell you all that I can, and all you are willing to hear. :) I do hope that everyone is having a lovely day today though. :)

My day started with waking up super early for Church. It was my Sunday to make sure the words to the songs and the outlines for the message appeared on the overhead screen when they were supposed to, so I had to be at church early. I usually do that once a month, and this month just happened to be on Easter. Anyway, that all went swimmingly the first service. The little kids got up and sang, and it was cute, of course. Then we sang one of my favorite worship songs which is called "He Reigns" and I believe was originally sung by the Newsboys. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, that was super happy and the message was good. Then, before the second service, one of the other video people was showing a new person how to do it, and he messed it up. lol They got it fixed in time though (Praise God!). However, when they re-started the computer and loaded up the program, they forgot to put the message powerpoint in it, and I didn't notice until just before I was supposed to use it! lol I had to get some help in finding where it was on the computer, but we managed it after not too long, so that was good. :)

After church, I asked mom if we could go to the grocery store to get an Easter egg decorating kit! Yay! I haven't done that in ages so I was all excited over it. lol Good thing mom said I should get more eggs too, otherwise there would have only been four. lol But, since it'd been so long since the last time I decorated eggs, I botched things up a bit. The kit comes with this wax crayon so you can make designs on the egg that will be white. I forgot though, that you're supposed to do the designs BEFORE you put the eggs in the dye. *shakes head at self* It didn't say that anywhere on the box either, so I'm going to blame it on them! lmao So my eggs are just solid colors with stickers on them. Not terribly exciting, but oh well. Perhaps I shall make another try at it next year and remember about the wax crayon. lol

Well, it's getting close to work time for me. Yes, I am working on Easter Sunday. Both Sam and Kriss were shocked when I told them each over AIM. lol My job means I mostly work on the weekends, actually, and for movie theatres, holidays don't really count because people go to movies all year round. Hopefully it won't be terribly busy today though or anything. :) Anyway, before I go, I found out the other day that I got a B+ in my math class!! YAY! I'm quite happy with that. Still waiting on my english grade though. My teacher's just rather slow with grading, but also leading up to finals, she said her dad was sick, so that might be making it take longer. :( Sad. Well, I'm off and I shall leave you all with one more Bible verse. :)

Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." - John 6:35

I forgot to mention that I entered the Name the Backstreet Fan Community contest. lmao I know, I know, what a dork am I. BUT, I'm not the only one who's going to do it, so that makes me feel better. ;) lmao Plus, when I filled out their site feedback form a few months back, I told them they should do lots of contests, so I have to participate now that they're having one. *nods* Yup. Anyway, what names did I submit? Well, the first one won't surprise most of you. It was the VERY first name that popped into my head as soon as I found out about the contest. Oh, you want me to say it? Streeted. C'mon, I had to! ;) lmao The other two are Hangin' on the Street and The Backstreet Underground. Yeah, they're rather lame, but it was all I could come up with, and I wanted to use the full three allotted. I think Streeted would be the BOMB though. They're probably not going to pick it, but one never knows, right? As long as it's doesn't end up being something incredibly lame, I'll be happy. Anyway, just wanted to add that since I forgot earlier. G'night!

][ 9:17 PM

Yesterday my mommy and I went shopping. I didn't get one of the main items I was looking for, but I did get the other, which was sort of more important - new shoes. My feet were screaming at me to get new shoes, so now I have. lol They're really shinny, and kinda funky, but they felt the most comfortable, so that's what I went for. And, I wasn't looking for them, but I got a pair of pants. They're cammo green, and very spiffy, I think. ;) lol

Oh man, the stupid people are back again! These two ladies woke me up this morning by knocking on the door, and now for some DERANGED reason, they've come back again. They just knocked for the second time, and I'm sure they know I'm here since they can see me through the window. Take the hint, go away! Yay, they went away! Hopefully they won't come back again. I'm sure they're from that one group that goes around to people's houses all the time and tries to get them to join their religion. I am already a part of one that I quite like though, so I don't want to hear what they have to say. Garg. lol

That was off-topic, so I'll finish my little blurb on shopping. I also got a pencil and some cute pins at the Sanrio store. They're of a new kitty that I hadn't seen before, and it was cute, so I got them. lol When we got home after shopping, I remembered something I was going to look for when we were at Target. Then, a little later, I remembered what I was going to get a Target besides that, a copy of Finding Neverland on DVD since it came out on Tuesday. I was totally bummed that I forgot, so I called the local Safeway to see if they had it. They did. Of course, it was more money there, but oh well. My mom says that she thinks the guy who works the video counter there was attracted to me. lmao Well, if he is, I don't mind. As far as I know, he's a nice boy. I used to carpool to school with his mom, and she'd tell me and the other lady that I carpooled with stuff sometimes about him and about her other kids. I'm just being silly again though, so I'll stop with that.

Let's see, what else? Mom and I watched Robots last night. I was supposed to have today off, but then Wes called me to work for him, and just not wanting to is not really a good reason when I don't have any plans. I had plans to relax though! *pouts* I suppose I am expected to make these sacrifices now that I'm going to be the manager, but that doesn't mean I have to be totally happy about it! lol Not much else to write about so I shall sign off for now. TTFN!

There was an elk right outside my window a moment ago, eating my mother's plants. My cat boy did not like it. He was growling a bit, and that's what made me take a peak outside the window. It was sort of scary, in a way. Those things are big, and I just hope one does not take it into it's head to come banging on my window in the middle of the night, scaring me half to death. lol

Aside from that, I finished watching the dragons special that was on Animal Planet Sunday night. I watched the last half on Sunday and finished the first half today. I was quite disappointed in it, actually. *sigh* In shows like that, I always want them to tell me that they found evidence of something finally, but they never do. In this one, they faked it, which is why I did not like it so. They made-up a discovery of a perfectly preserved dragon body in an ice cave in some remote mountains whose name I can't remember. Then they based the show on the "scientific discoveries they made from the body of the dragon." *rolls eyes* Lame. I watched a tad of the behind-the-scenes thing after it, and they were saying how they made up that finding of the dragon carcase to add more credit to the show. Personally, I thought it did the opposite. Anyway, moving on.

After that, I watched the end of That's So Raven on the Disney Channel before coming into my room and flipping my desktop on. Then, I sat down with the intention to write another page in my novel, when I was struck with an idea for a totally new story. lol So, I wrote down my first basic ideas about it, and then tried to write more of the novel I had started Sunday afternoon. I wrote a paragraph or two, and then I opened up a new document and started typing the beginning of the new story idea. lol At least I am writing something though, so I feel like I am doing much better. You know, when you start telling people you want to become a novelist and author, but you haven't started actually writing any stories yet, they think you're fooling around. I've been coming up with ideas though, and now I'm just starting on the next steps after some of my ideas. ;) Anyway, I must be off to keep on writing now. Nighty night!

No more school! lol Or, no more classes that I DON'T want to take, at least. ;) I had my math exam this afternoon. I was bad and did not start studying until last night. And last night I only spent about 15 minutes reviewing. So, I did most of it today, just before the test. I figured that mostly what I needed to do was just to memorize some forumulas, and then I would hopefully be okay. I don't tend to really do much studying before tests. Mostly, I figure if I don't really know it by then, that's that. But I do find that light reviewing beforehand helps me to better recall what I know. The test was long though, and somewhat hard. The problems I would have done very well on, weren't on the test! lmao Figures they'd do that to me. I was there until the very last minute, and ended up leaving two to three problems blank. There were a number of others who weren't able to finish their tests either. Most of us were there until the end of our hour and forty minutes. I think they made the test too long for that amount of time, because the majority of the class took the whole time and some didn't get to finish. Anyway, my teacher said that if the scores are all lower, she'll grade on a curve, so that gives me nice hope. lol I think I may have still managed a low B on my own though. I should find out near the end of the week what my final grades for both my classes are. I'm hoping for B's in each class, but as long as I pass, I shall be quite happy. :)

In other news, just had not-so-much fun at work over the weekend. We were under-staffed and ended up having much larger turn-outs for the first shows each day than we thought. It was scary! lol Customers just kept coming and coming, and there was a big line, and... and... AHHH! lol I know, I'm being-overdramatic, but it was really not that fun. ;) I got the first show yesterday off though and hung out with Tammy for a while. Just kinda hung out at her house for a while and we went to Target for a bit, but I didn't get anything. Tammy also told me about this cool new website, which I shall share at a later date if I decide to join it and stuff. Anyway, I'm off to do stuff now. Oh, and I wrote the first page of one of my novels yesterday before I went to hang out with Tammy, so that was way exciting for me! I'm going to try and write a page per day. But yes, I'm off for now. *waves*

Okay, so I borrowed Princess Mononoke from Wes. He kept talking about it and saying he'd let me borrow it so that I could watch it, but never remembered to bring it with him to work. He remembered earlier in the week, finally, and so I just finished watching it. Now, what I want to know is, why in the heck is it called Princess Mononoke when the words "Princess Mononoke" are spoken maybe TWICE in the movie? *is confused* And like, the main character is a PRINCE, so I guess I just don't understand and I'm going to have to ask him about it tomorrow at work. lol Other than that though, the movie was pretty good. Of course, the animation was awesome, as I've noticed with other Anime movies by the same guy (I forget his name, but he also did Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away). But, of course as well, a lot of the cultural stuff went right over my head. Lots to do with spirits and demons and I'm just kinda like "okay..." with those parts. I was so totally happy at the end of this movie that the cute Prince guy got to live and not be cursed anymore though! Yay! lol

In other news, I made a new Backstreet Boys wallpaper yesterday night! It's been AGES since I made one! It's up over at Of-A-Star.com for all those of you who want to go check it out. I used that new promo picture of the Boys that hit the 'net the other day. You know, the one you've probably seen in a million different graphics things already. Yeah, that one. ;) It was such nice, high-quality that I couldn't help but use it though. The wallpaper itself is definately a different style than anything I've done before. I was just sort of inspired to do it like that, not really sure why. I rather like how it turned out though. Well, 'tis very early in the morning, so I think I'm going to go to sleep now. Nighty night!

Yay! No more english class!! *dances* Wee! lol I got to class early today since it was the last day, and what do I find? A note on the door that says class was going to start an hour late. *rolls eyes* Oh well. So, I didn't have anything else to do and just decided to sit down in the classroom (some of my classmates were doing the same already) and wait. I continued in my reading of C.S. Lewis' Out of the Silent Planet. So far so good in the book.

My last math class ran late (figures), and I got way jammed up in traffic. The weather was also really bad, so driving was not very fun. My back was having a major nerve spasm from being all tensed up due to driving conditions. And then my heart freaked out when someone tried to side-swipe me... AGAIN! I tell you, I've almost been side-swiped more times than anyone else I know. Then, when I got to higher ground (praise God, I didn't actually end up getting side-swiped since they noticed, finally), there was snow all over the freeway! I slowed down to about 35 MPH because of it. I made it to get food and then to work okay though, so all was good. :)

So now I'm just hanging out, wondering what to do with myself. I could start studying for my math exam, but it's not till Monday, so I think I'm going to wait until Saturday while I'm at work, because I'll have plenty of time then. :) Ooh... and I also found out that Tammy's gonna take the writing class with me! Yay! Also, I'm hoping her and I can hang for a while some time this weekend, we'll see. Anyway, I'm being distracted by the television. Night!

][ 11:42 PM

Success! My final essay for English 101 is complete, printed, and in my binder ready for tomorrow! Is it any good? Not really. I'm pretty darn sure it's not up to par for what my teacher wanted, but it's not entirely my fault. I wrote in my cover letter for my "essay portfolio" from the class that I thought I was not given adequate time for the essay and that I felt constricted by the allowed topics. I also wrote that I felt I could have written a far better argument essay were it on a subject I was already more familiar with and passionate about, such as why Earth's rain forests must be preserved. I think I could have written a darn good argument essay on that topic, actually. Anyway, praise be to God that I at least got A's on all my other essays, so I'm hoping for at least a C on this one, and that, hopefully, that will give me an overall B for the class as a whole. That's what I'm hoping and praying. I should find out some time next week or the week after, depending on how long my teacher takes to submit the grades for our class. Tomorrow is my last day of that though, and then it's all over! I just have to show up to turn in my paper and do writing exercises during class. I've still got my math final on Monday, but hopefully I should do okay on that as well. :)

In other news, I've been working every day since Saturday and my next day off might not be until some time after Sunday, depending on if my boss realizes I don't have Thursday off anymore or not. lol Tomorrow's payday though, so wee-haw! Church will be happy because since I got my raise, my giving will increase some. ;) Not a whole lot, but some. lol I'm also excited for SG-1 and Atlantis on Friday, of course, and for a special on Animal Planet Sunday night about Dragons! Oooh yeah! All right, I guess I shall be off now. I was tired before I started to finish my paper, but now I'm feeling rather perky. Hopefully I can still manage to get to bed soon so I can wake up on time for school. Goodnight!

Sunday, March 13, 2005

Well, on the upside I've started to write some things for my essay today on college tuition increases and why I think that's a shitty thing to do. On the downside, I really don't know how to articulate my thoughts for my essay and I'm not going to have the needed "evidence" that I'm supposed to (don't know how our teacher expects us to have time to research this stuff with only TWO more class days left and having only four days to write the rough draft, but you know, whatever). Also on the downside, Brian K.'s last day at work was yesterday. One of the other guys jokingly asked him what we were going to do without him, and I sat there seriously thinking, yeah, what are we going to do without him? I still don't know half the stuff he does about the job that I'm now going to be taking over at the theatre. lol Good thing he didn't move too far away and he said I could call his cell phone if I needed help with things. Poor guy, we made him do popcorn for the very last show last night (and so you know, that is the most hated job at the theatre), and then I got myself all confused counting down the register and he ended up having to stay like an extra half an hour until I finished my stuff up. I felt bad. He was really nice though, and he said it was good working with me and I said likewise with him. :)

While I was at work yesterday I started making a flyer for the film festival we're going to have in a month. I worked on it through the whole first show I was there and I'm still not done with it after that! lol Mostly it's just because we don't really have a program for doing something like that on the computer at work, so I used Word. I don't even have Word on any of the computers in our house. Basically, it took me a long time because I didn't know what I was doing completely, and also, as I've decided, because Microsoft products suck. Windows was great until they screwed it up with XP and then further screwed it up with XP Service Pack 2. Praise be to God in heaven that I got that service pack off of my computer a couple minutes after it auto-installed! Anyway, hopefully I can manage to get it finished today, provided the program will be nice to me, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I also realized just before I was all done at the theatre last night that I had brought myself a sandwich for dinner and never had the chance to eat it. So sad. :( I also wish people wouldn't leave so much of their trash in the theatre! Pigs! You know, I can understand candy wrapers and a few empty popcorn bags, but when there's a whole row with cups still in their holders and mostly-filled popcorn bags wedged into the seats, that's just plain mean! Take your big trash to the trash can people! I feel much better having said that now.

Well, I should stop this entry now because the whole thing is mostly a rant and probably written terribly at that. I don't imagine it's fun to read, nor that anyone will actually do so. Don't particularly care right now though. See ya!

Friday, March 11, 2005

Ah, it's so nice to have today off. Unfortunately, I still have a list of things to do. The list itself only has three items on it, however, they're the sorts of items that are complicated and will take a fair amount of time. *sigh* I'm so looking forward to all the Stargate stuff that will be on tonight, but before then I really do need to try and be good and get things done. Actually, I would love opinions from you all on the following.

I have to write the rough draft for my final essay in english class today. Well, I have through the weekend because it's due on Monday, but I'm working a bunch, so today would be the best. Anyway, it's an argument essay and it has to be on one of the following topics: the Japanese-American internment, current issues similar to the internment such as the Patriot Act, or a current topic in education being debated. Now, the last essay I did was essentially an argument essay on the Japanese-American internment and how it paralleled the consentration camps in Europe, so I don't want to write another essay on the exact same thing. That moves me to the second topic, which, well, I don't really know anything about the Patriot Act! All I know is it's got something to do with limiting our rights for "national security" or some junk. I tend not to pay attention to that sort of thing. Finally, all that's left is something to do with education right now that has at least two sides of opinion. She gave us suggestions: should schools be allowed to ban books, should training of music or art be required, should college admissions be based solely on high school academic performance, and should student athletes be required to keep a certain GPA to play? I could tell you my opinion on each of those, but I don't know if I can write an entire essay on one of them and provide evidence of my ideas! Oy! Why does she always have to give us topics that I don't like? It's also a pain because there are only two more class days left before finals, and this kind of essay suggests a need for a lot of research that none of us really have time to do. *shakes head* So yes, any suggestions? The only education related idea I could come up with on my own was talking about the projected rise of tuition, which I feel rather strongly about in that it shouldn't happen. I could write something on that, but I'm supposed to put in the other side of it as well. What other side? Who rightly thinks, and can justify, that making tuition for four years of college be $200,000 is good? Seriously, I just can't grasp that. Moving on...

Yesterday afternoon I went down to work and showed Josh how to build a movie. We put together Robots and ran through it. I was very thankful to God that everything went okay. See, the last two reels were backwards, so we had to rewind them, and I just kept praying that they really were backward and just didn't have the wrong thing listed on the outside of them. lol Praise God, all went well though. :D Yay!

Yesterday I also got an e-mail back from Louise Marley. She said I should definately still sign up for her class and she'll just e-mail me the info I'll miss from the first day of class. :) So, I signed up for it and paid the fee last night. Yay! I hope that class will be lots of fun! I also called Tammy and told her about it, and she might end up taking it as well, but it depends on if she's got the money to spend and whatnot.

I was also good last night and worked on some stuff for one of the sites I'm re-vamping for a previous website client. It looks like it's going to take me a bit longer than what I originally told her, but hopefully I can get it all done before I leave for California. I should be able too, but one never knows so I should probably pray on that, if it's okay with God. ;) Well, I'll be off now. If any of you want to e-mail me or leave a message on my tag board with opinions on what I might write my essay about, it'd be greatly appreciated. I think, perhaps, that I'll get something to eat because they say you think better with food in your system, right? Ta ta!

So, a funny story about my day today. I went to school and made it to english class a few minutes early! Go me! The rest of the class and I were just sitting there, waiting for our teacher to come in. She's some times late so we usually wait a bit. Anyway, someone goes to check if there was a note on the door. Low and behold, there was a note on the door I'd walked in through saying class was cancelled and I didn't even notice it! lol Then, for some deranged reason, the person who got the note stood right next to my spot on the edge of my row and all the other people in my class started congregating around her, and thus me. The cute guy in my class stood in front of me. I imagine I've not mentioned this at all yet, but yes, I've got a tiny little thing for a boy in my english class. He was in my "chatting" group the first day of class, but I haven't ended up in a group with him again since then. So, I've not talked to him at all really, and I only know his name because I paid attention the second day of class when my teacher took roll call. Apparently he's a good writer though. ;) lol Anyway, I'm basically just being silly because there's only two more days of class and the final and I'm probably never going to end up talking to him so it's just one of those, "hey he's kinda cute and he's in my class" things. Oh well.

Anyway, since class was cancelled, I drove over to the mall to try on a shirt from JC Penny that I saw in their commercial on TV last night. It was so way cute, but, of course, even though they have it online, they didn't have it at the store! :( So, I consoled myself by trying on some capris and shirts and a really cute trench coat that was this nice orange-y color. I got a pair of capris and two shirts. I was quite tempted to buy the trench coat because it was so my color and looked good on me. But alas, it was $30 and I would have spent a LOT of money today if I'd bought it. However, I might go back in a week or so and see if it's still there and consider buying it again. I'd like to have it, but I don't know that I have a whole lot of stuff that would go with it, so I probably wouldn't wear it a lot. On the other hand, I could gather up things to wear it with in the future. ;) lol We'll see.

I went back to school after that to go to math class. I got a soda out of a vending machine to take to class with me, and hiked up the stairs and over to my class. This is the super funny part. I get to the door of my math class and it was cancelled too! lmao Some people might have been ticked that they went to school for nothing, but I just laughed and called my mom to tell her I was coming home early. lol

I got home and there was a catalog for the non-credit classes on my placemat. I was thinking I'd just recycle it, but then I sat down and turned on the TV and started flipping through it. First, I saw this calligraphy class and that sounded like fun, so I marked the page. I have a book on calligraphy and I can do very nice lettering if I try really hard, but it would be cool to take a class on it. Then I was flipping through and I got to the writing section. I just sort of skimmed it to see if there was anything of interest, since this is my current career choice if God's cool with it, and then I noticed a new class called "Writing Fantasy and Science Fiction." I was like, "Oooh!" But I was about to skim over it because I figured it probably wasn't worth it until I noticed the name of the teacher... L. Marley. I was like, no, it can't be! I read the little blurb on the class and sure enough, it's being taught by Louise Marley!!!!! :D I love her three books that I have about Sira and Nevya! So, guess who's totally going to sign up for that class if they can? ME! The class starts on my birthday though and I'll still be in California so I'll miss the first day. Therefore, I e-mailed her via her website to see if it would be acceptable if I missed the first day. Hopefully I'll hear back from her soon and I might just sign up tomorrow anyway because I don't imagine I'll be a problem, but one never knows and I could drop the class before it started if I had to. I super hope that I can take the class though because it would be so AWESOME!

Not too much has been going on besides that, I guess. Just the normal stuff like school and work. I did rediscover the great tastiness of grilled cheese sandwiches yesterday though. I decided to make one for dinner and it was so good that I made some for my dinner tonight as well. lol Anyway, I'm chatting with Sam right now and I've gotta be ready to leave shortly so I'll sign off for now. TTFN!

Aww... *sniff* Sam's not getting the horse after all. :( Turns out the horse didn't pass the vet inspection and it has some sort of nerve problem which could make it prone to loss of blanace, etc., so it's really safe. I was so excited for her too. She says she's going to look at another horse soon though so maybe that one will work out. :)

Not too much else. Went to work again today. Before I left though, my mom trimmed my bangs, so now I can see again! lol ;) Work was pretty normal. The new guy, Charlie, has already started teasing me. It's because he's friends with Brian J., so he's learning it all from him, I tell you. *rolls eyes* You know, I'm going to be sort of "in charge" in a couple months, but they're still going to tease me. Oy. lol That's pretty much all I have to say.

Sam got a horse!! :D I e-mailed her to see if she would read my essay, yet again, and she e-mailed me back and said she got a horse!!! :D *dances* Her e-mail says she had to take the horse to the vet first to see if there was a problem, but there shouldn't be, and hopefully won't be. Yay! I'm so excited for Sam so I just thought I'd share that with you all since her blog's still not up yet *cough*hinthint*cough*. ;)

In other news, both SG-1 and Atlantis were INTENSE tonight! Oh, it was awesome! SG-1 was especially intense and ooh... Daniel. lol This could possibly be a spoiler for some, so this is your warning. Anyway, Daniel was AWESOME and got control of the Replicators! It was only for a bit, but ooh... it was good! Then, Repli-Carter transformed her arm into a huge blade and ran him through! *cries* If I hadn't read some spoilers, I would be throwing a hissy fit right now, but I know he's not actually dead. Wewh. They left it without telling us what happened to Daniel though. Buggers. But then, when they showed the clip for next week's episode, Daniel's in it. lol They're so silly. ;) I want to ask for next Friday night off, but wer're opening Robots, so I'm not sure I can have it. No harm in asking though, right? :) (p.s. I caved recently and got an LJ, so I might post more about SG-1 there later.)

This morning I went down to work and built Hitch. It took me a while because I had some "fun" with the previews. lol Learning experiance. ;) Anyway, I managed to get it all built and my mom came down with sandwhiches and watched it with me. It was pretty funny. Some of the stuff more that others, but there were a good few times I was bustin' a gut. Good thing no one else was watching it but me and mom. ;) Heh. Of course though, the people who had the print before us left their cue-tape on it and I missed one so the curtains closed shortly after the credits started. Arg. I had to stay after the movie was done to fix it. Had some fun with that at first as well, but once again, God helped me manage and I found the piece of cue-tape and it worked fine at the show later. Yay! And, seems like I did a good job on threading the projector as well because there were no scratches on the print the second time it ran! I'm very thankful to God for that and keep praying that I do everything correctly each time I do anything in the projection room. lol

Humm... I suppose that's it for now. I may go and do some more posting about Stargate stuff on my LJ or on a board, we'll see. By the way, I won't be posting a whole lot on my LJ and this will still be my primary journal. So yes, I do believe I have to go crazy on this episode now since I'm watching it again. ;) lol Night, night!

Yesterday I only had a half an hour of school. lol I got to school and made it into my english class just before my teacher started talking. Whoo! *wipes sweat off brow* lol Turns out, she wasn't feeling very good and only came to get our reading journals and answer any questions we might have about our essays. So, we only had thirty minutes of class.

After english was over, I looked at my watch and realized that I'd have to just sit around school for two hours before my math class that I really didn't even want to go to and had been thinking about skipping. The thing that was holding me back from skipping was that I was supposed to turn in a quiz and some extra credit and, you know, I wanted to get the points for those. So, I thought I'd run by my teachers office and see if she was there so I could turn them in and go home. Guess what! She was there! lol So, I gave her my papers and she told me to e-mail her later to see what I missed of class. So I came home and relaxed before having to go to work.

Work was okay. I'm a little nervous though because I closed last night and it was the first time I threaded the projector without anyone checking to make sure I did it right. Nothing went wrong during the movie (praise God! I was praying a bunch! lol), but there's still the small possibility that I could have done something that scratched the print and it will only be noticable the next time the movie runs. I'm hoping that's not the case though and that everything will be okay, God willing. :)

Speaking of work, I was hoping to go down earlier this afternoon and build Hitch and run through it, but I can't get a hold of anyone to see if it's there! Oy! So, now it's too late to do it before the movie goes tonight which means I'll most likely have to do it tomorrow morning. I was so hoping to sleep in tomorrow. *sigh* Oh well. Hopefully someone will at least call me and let me know what's up soon though or something.

This morning my mom and I went to the screening of Ice Princess. It was so cute! Yay for well-done rated G movies! :D lol It's another one I think you all should see when it comes out, if you're interested. It made me cry a few times. I don't know if I'm just getting more and more emotional with movies, or if it's because I keep feeling like I relate to the characters, or what! lol The movie brought back some memories for me though. I doubt anyone who reads this would know that I used to dream of being a figure skater. Yup, it's true. Nothing like the level in the movie where she wants to compete and what not, but I used to want to learn how to do all those pretty moves and whatnot. And, of course, I would totally throw in some hiphop flavor to my rutines, you know. ;) It was a wonderful, cute movie though.

Let's see, what other news? I updated my collective site last night. Might do a bit more updating today or tomorrow as well. Since I've been giving away a bunch of my fanlistings, my total number of sites has fallen. I've still got quite a few though and have plans for more. Seems to be the way of things for me. ;) I actually applied (and got approved) for a new fanlisting too. lol It's a Stargate Atlantis episode though, so I'm allowed to do that one since I'm all up in the Stargate thing now. ;) And I've also been continuously working on my TCG and doing some things for business sites. I installed wordpress the other day to see if it would work for one of my client's needs, but ugh, I did not like it at all! So, I'm going to try another script now and hopefully that'll work better. I'd best be off now. Gotta take the trashes out and be productive. *waves*

I went to the screening of Robots this morning. It was AWESOME! It's one of the best movies I've seen in a while. And guess what, all the funny parts aren't in the preview, there's more in the movie! lmao I even thought the Britney Spears part was funny, and that's saying something. ;) lol It had a really good story line and a way good message for everyone, especially kids. "You can shine no matter what you're made of." Itsn't that awesome? I think it is. ;) Anyway, it comes out on the 11th of this month, so I highly recommend you all going to see it. I really liked it. :)

Yesterday I got my second english essay and my second math test back. For my essay, I got a 90/100. I'm okay with it, but it's weird because I think my second essay was definately better than my first, but she gave me a lower score than I got on my first essay. *is confused* Oh well, it's still a good grade. :) For my math grade, I was totally excited that I got an 83/100. Why? Because I didn't really study at all for it and was scared I was going to do really badly on it. lol I was totally right before though. I got all the "big" questions right and got a bunch of the little ones wrong. lol That's how my grade got saved, that I got the questions worth more points right. ;) lol That, and the fact that my teacher gives partial credit. I can't really complain about her doing that. ;) My overall math grade is an 89% though, so if I do well on the final, then I might manage to get an A in that class after all. And, I suppose, it's possible I could manage an A in english as well. I'm hoping for B's in both though.

I also had work last night, of course. No one came until the last 15 minutes before the show was going to start, so I ended up getting to talk to my boss before people started to come. Since I've started doing a lot more stuff at the theatre and getting more responsibility, I asked her for a raise. That kind of thing is hard, but luckily, it occured to my boss when I said I had a question that was just between her and myself that that was what I was going to ask. So, before I could actually ask for money she goes, "You want more money, don't you?" I said, "Yes please." lol So, yay, I got a raise and I didn't have to freak out horribly about asking for it. ;) Yay!

All righty, I've still got a number of things to do on my list for today. My english teacher gave us a bunch of homework and it's all the sucky kind. lol So, off I go to do that and clean the kitty litter again, and who knows what else! TTFN!
