I've got my vacation semi-planned now! lol Or, at least, I know when I'm leaving and when I'm coming back. ;) I talked to my cousins Mike and CJ today and figured out some of the stuff so I was able to buy my plane tickets when I got home from work. Hopefully the vacation will be very nice and good for me. I feel like I need it. Hopefully I won't stress about finding a new job until after I get back, too. That would be nice.

Yesterday afternoon I put together Ice Age 2: The Meltdown and had just enough time to run through it before my scheduled shift was supposed to start. Yay! The movie was okay. Not the best I've seen, but okay. The ending with Scrat (the little squirrel thing) is very funny though. ;) Then was regular work which went fine. Pretty much the same old, same old, which is what I usually say.

Today I woke up early. I had to get up at 8 AM so that I could get down to work to break down the movie that ended last night. Blarg. I didn't get to sleep until way late and woke up a few times as well so I ought to be totally knocked out right now, but am not yet. I've got the tired headache though. ;) lol I worked for the second show tonight as well and we sold out. Good for the theater. I felt sort of bad though because there was a big line still when I put the sold out sign up. Their faults for coming late though. *shrugs*

I remembered some stuff that I forgot about in the last entry. Mainly that my mom made a recipe from the Redwall cookbook! She made the Shrimp n' Hotroot Soup minus the shrimp. lol Neither of us are seafood people. And it was very tasty. :) So that's two recipes tried from that cookbook and both tasty, tasty. :) We got more stuff more more soup today at the store and ingredients to make Stones Inna Swamp. :D It sounds tasty, so I'll let you all know how it is whenever I actually make it.

Just now I made some more updates/adjustments to TWO17.net. I added a tag board to the main page for general comments and whatnot, and I made some way cute link buttons! I made them look like the back of a digital camera. They're fashioned after my what the back of my Sony T9 looks like. ;) lol It was fun, fun, fun to do though and I think they came out pretty darn cute! You can see them there on the about page.

I guess that's all I've got to post about right now. Tomorrow should be somewhat busy, but the rest of my work week is light. I was sort of surprised. Oh well. Then, my boss gave me the day before my birthday off instead of my birthday. Oops. She fixed it, but I lost some hours because of it. Blarg. Oh well again! lol

][ 9:19 PM

New layout up! Features Iceman from the X-Men movies! He's my favorite. :D Personally, I think he has the best mutant power you could possibly get. I mean, if you think about it, he can do a lot of things with ice. If he needs to get up somewhere high, he can create steps from ice. I think he's cool anyway. Cute, too. ;) lol Not sure how I like some of the parts of this layout, but the left side of the main image I like for sure. Heh.

In other news, work has been, well, work. Same old, same old pretty much. I found out Brian K. is for sure coming back to the theatre though. Which I guess is good for the new owners if he's going to resume doing what he did before I took it over, but then it means I'm going to have to book it looking for a job when I get back from vacation because it's likely I'll start to lose hours now that he's back. *sigh* Speaking of looking for a job though, I have a funny story to tell. I was on Monster.com the other day looking through jobs and found a listing for a flight attendant. Nothing special about that... until I looked at the company name. What was it? Jerry Bruckheimer Films. As in the famous movie producer who's movies include both Pirates of the Caribbean ones. lmao I thought that was hilarious! It'd be a pretty cool job probably, but I'm not qualified. It's still there if any of you have 1 or more years experiance as a flight attendant or know someone who does. ;) lol

I have a rather strong feeling that there were some other things I wanted to write about. Humm... crap. I can't remember! Darn! Well, I guess that's it. Oh, WAIT!!! New layout up at TWO17.net! I just put it up before this one. I think it's pretty. I also added three new photos. I really need to go on some photo-taking excersions. Just have to find someone who'd want to go with me. lol Nighty night!

So, I ended up just staying home all day today. Not really a surprise. Who knows when/if I'll actually take myself to see V for Vendetta. If all else fails, I'll just have to rent it. I was hoping that I would get something productive done today, but I just spent pretty much the entire day in front of the television. Oops. I did get a package from my Grandma in the mail today though. Last time I talked to her on the phone, she told me she found a necklace with a picture of my mom and I with my biological father and asked if I wanted her to send it to me. I said sure. So, it came in the mail today along with a few other various things and a Backstreet Boys book. lol That was real sweet of her to remember I like them. I've already got the book, but I still felt very special and it's the thought that counts. :) And sadly, that's really all I have to say right now.

Sunday, when I got to work, Brian J. said he wasn't feeling good and asked if I could close for him. I said yes. Then he called me on Monday and still wasn't feeling good and asked if I could work his Tuesday shift for him. So I said okay and asked if he'd take my Wednesday one then. He said okay, but then called back a few minutes later because he remembered he had a band concert. Blarg. lol So, I've gotten extra hours this week. I suppose that's good though, and I'm feeling a lot more positive about work since I had a good talk with God about it and asked Him for His help. :) This coming week I shall have a good amount of hours again. lol Surprise of surprises though, I was given tomorrow off. AMAZING. lol What shall I do with myself? I've heard that V for Vendetta is a good movie, so perhaps I'll take myself out and see that. ;)

Yesterday morning my mom and I managed to get up early, despite that neither of us had gotten a very good night's sleep, and went to screen The Wild. Egh. I guess it was okay, and I laughed a decent amount, but I didn't really like it that much. I mean, it's not Pixar, so it's just not as good. Sad, but true. And I'm not talking just animation either, the stories for Pixar movies are a lot better with far more witty humor instead of just slap-stick that-was-so-dumb-I-had-to-laugh stuff. *shrugs* With that said, I'm looking forward to Cars. ;) Oh, and the exception is Fox's Ice Age movies because I'm looking forward to the second one as well, and we're even going to open it! Wee!

Also yesterday, in the evening before I left for work, I sent my boss an e-mail giving her initial notice that I'm starting to look for another job. So I can't change my mind now! lol I'll miss the theatre in a lot of ways, but I've been there for over three years and I really do feel like it's time for me to try something different. So it looks like I'll be looking for a full-time job with medical benefits. FUN. And I don't mean that literally. ;) Anyone got any ideas or suggestions for me? Other than writing, I really don't have any clue what kind of job I'd like to have. *sigh* That I could get, too. I think I could use some prayers on this for those of you that believe in God. Please. :)

My most recent Amazon.com order arrived today (be careful if you get their credit card with the points because then you start buying more from them, lol). I ordered a new book and two dance DVDs. I popped each of the DVDs into the player earlier to give them brief test runs, and I'm not impressed. *sigh* I'll try and give them each a better and more proper chance another day soon, but I really think I need to give up on trying to find a decent hip-hop dance instruction video. I just don't think one exists. These people are all far-removed from beginners and apparently have NO clue as to what is needed for learning. I'm not really a beginner as I've danced on my own my whole life and have taken a few classes, and it's HARD. They go WAY too fast and they always film it so that when they say right, they actually move to your left and my brain just can't deal with that! I'm sure I'm not the only one. lol So, I told my mom some of that and she said that I should create my own dance DVD, and I said I was actually thinking that I should! lol I don't think I know enough to really do that right now though. Perhaps someday as I think I could do a really good job explaining the moves and doing them slower.

Haha! I just opened up the door to let Angel go outside and her brother, Balthazar, comes trotting up to the door to come in and I notice a nice little mousy in his mouth! I closed the door fast enough so that he couldn't come in. I had it open a crack and told him I was very proud of him, but he couldn't bring the mousy inside. Hehe. Then he walked away and I opened up the door more and Angel went out to join him. Such good little hunters. ;)

EDIT: Ack, I almost forgot! I made this great joke yesterday when I was talking to my mom! I couldn't get my thoughts out properly and said that my brain was messed up and whatnot. My mom said I had a clog or something... a brain clog. So then I said, "I guess I need some brain-o." LMAO You know, Drain-o/Brain-o? Hehehehehe.

So, this guy gave me a rose tonight. Keep reading, you'll laugh. ;) It was about half way through the second show at work and there were some kids outside and one of them tried to open the door, but it was locked of course, and then another one was doing something that I wasn't sure about. So, I opened the door and asked if I could help them with something and the one closest to me, a boy, said that they were just going around "rose-ifying" the town tonight. lmao They were two couples that were probably going to or coming back from the dance at the high school tonight. The other guy was trying to stick a rose up on the marquee, but it wasn't working and they asked me if it was okay. And I was just kind of like... uhh... lol And then the one next to me says, "Here, have a rose ma'am." I was like, "thanks," and took the rose and then they left and I closed the door. lol It was kind of odd, but funny. And then afterward I was like, he called me "ma'am," what am I part of that generation now already? Haha. Anyway, I brought the rose home because if I'd left it at the theatre as a decoration someone would have just thrown it out without seeing if it belonged to anyone. I see no reason not to keep it, I mean, it's pretty. lol It's orangey too, so it's extra cool that way. lol

The rest of work was pretty good. Nothing spectacular. Yesterday was pretty regular too. Although, it was pretty darn busy yesterday and good show sizes today too. That's positive for the theatre. Oh! And my boss told me yesterday that the papers have been signed. So, barring that any of the inspections had a bad outcome, there will be new owners some time in mid-May. She said we know them and that they're a nice family, so that's good. :)

Oh man, I'm watching The Patriot on TV right now (I've got it on DVD, too) and it's at the scene near the beginning where Mel Gibson's character just took his two boys with him to save his eldest boy from the Red Coats and, I mean, I know why he did it and it was good that he wanted to save his oldest child since he just lost the second eldest, but he had NO right to make those poor little boys do that. I mean, to ask them to kill another human being at such a young age... it's just horrible. Yes, I realize this is just a movie, but still.

In other happy news (and I was almost going to forget to write about this part!), I wrote while I was at work tonight! I wrote THREE pages!!! WOOOOOO!!!!! I'm so excited! lol And I think the three pages are all good ones too. Positive, positive! *is all giddy-happy* I hope that I can write more too! I probably would have kept going on it actually, but then I looked at the clock and there were only ten minutes until the movie was over, so I figured I should do my cleaning. lol So happy that I got some writing done! And on that note, a reminder to check out Flourish if you're a writer and interested in joining our new community! :) Until next time!

Well, I guess I just haven't felt like posting lately. *shrugs* There's really not that much to post about. Friday I went in to work early to take apart the whole movie so that I could pull one trailer off and replace it, and then I put it all back together again. Wee. lol Note my enthusiasim. It really wasn't that bad though, and it actually went faster than I thought it would, so what can I say? I don't think I remember anything else from the weekend.

I know Tuesday night was my last writing class. It was good. I've not yet written since then, but hopefully I will... because I should. I guess I've been more focused on trying to find a new job and laying around trying to recoup from trying to find a new job. I think I'm stressing myself out. It's often hard for me to tell because most of the time it comes on very gradually and I don't really notice until I start feeling physically sick, which I have been a bit the last two nights. Not like exhibiting symptoms or anything, but just a general sort of ill/woozy feeling in the evenings. But how to relieve the stress? I do not know. I suppose I could stop thinking about what new job I could possibly get, etc., but that's far easier said than done. Blah.

Yesterday, I think it was, before work I got this rather odd phone call. Have you ever gotten a phone call from someone and you could just NOT understand a word they were saying? This was one of those. The guy had some sort of heavy accent and he spoke very quickly and all I'm really sure he said was my name when he asked for me after I answered the phone. Then I THINK he asked about my old blog domain and I just said I didn't own it anymore. I am so very confused over it. He said his name and what company he was calling from, but even when I asked him to repeat the company name I couldn't figure out what it was and I guess I was too embarassed to ask again. lol I feel kind of bad that I couldn't understand him, but... it's not my fault. lol I'm already pretty bad with voice recognition over the phone anyhow. Oh well.

So, I finished setting up the writing community that Sam and I are undertaking. If you're interested in joining, you may check it out here. You have to apply to join before you are allowed to setup an account at the forums. Mostly Sam and I just want to find out who you are beforehand and make sure you're committed to following our guidelines. :) Hopefully that will be a good thing in helping me to start writing more! Haha!

Okay, so I guess that's all for now. Hoping the weekend will be good. Also, it looks like my mom and I are probably going to go to the screening of The Wild next week. It doesn't really look that good, but hey, it's free and something to do and probably at least a little bit funny, so we'll check it out! lol Wish I could go to the screening of Ice Age 2, but I'm pretty sure it's too late for that. Bummer. But yeah, off I go. Ta ta!

I'm feeling rather down, so I am warning you now that at least part of this entry will be in that style, so you may not want to read it. I was feeling pretty good until about an hour ago, I guess it is now. I watched HP 4 when I got up as I had bought it on my way to writing class Tuesday, which was good, by the way. Then my mom came home with a sandwich and the new Pride and Prejudice, which we watched. I like the older one that's around six hours long better. It ended just before Family Fued was on, so mom and I were excited to watch that as we have recently gotten into it. The phone rang a few minutes after it started. My mom answered and then said it was for me and it sounded like Brian J.

It was him. I was expecting he was calling to ask if we were keeping the current movie another week or getting a new one or something. Apparently not so. He said he called and talked to our boss because, apparently, a bunch of parents have come out with their kids during the first preview, which is for the new Poseidon movie, saying it's too scary. I had not heard of anyone saying that, but whatever. So yes, he called and talked to the boss who apparently had him call me to have me come in tomorrow and either take that preview off the movie, or exchange it for another one. I guess I would like to point out now that other theaters put trailers like that or worse on kids films as well, though I suppose the Poseidon one is a little scary, and that ALL previews are rated G for general audiences. Every single one. Also, my boss doesn't know and damn thing about anything in the projector room. I can't just take it off or exchange it with something else. I have to remove the entire movie, pull off the preview, and then put the entire thing back on. It's about a two hour job to remove one preview. All that I could look past though, and I can go in and I can do that, even if I do think it's pointless and unnessasary, but the fact that she had Brian J. call to talk to me about it just pisses me off and hurts a damn lot too. SHE should have called me, but she's too damn lazy to do it and she knows nothing about running a business and how to treat employees. I want another job so bad, but I can't seem to find one that I would be qualified for and wouldn't hate more than working at the theatre. I was just starting to feel more positive about the whole situation too. I'm so sick of it though!

In other news, I did have a nice time in my writing class on Tuesday night. We did some exercises to identify our inner critics so that we can try to more effectively combat them. And I think I learned a few things about myself through it, so that was nice. I also got a lot of very nice compliments from the teacher, which I am only taking about half of as they were mostly meant just to encourage me to keep writing more, which is really what I need anyway. There's one more class left, and then I guess after that we'll see how my writing goes, or if it goes at all.

I guess that's all. I finished getting up the writing community that Sam and I are starting. I'm just waiting to hear back from her on one thing and then I'll stick the link up here for those of you who might be interested. I'm hoping that perhaps that will help me to write as well. We'll see. I guess I'll go now. Not sure what I'll do. Maybe I'll watch Care Bears or some other happy cartoon later and that will make me feel better, hopefully. :)

I don't want to work at the theatre anymore. The job itself is good in that I like the part where I'm the projectionist and I get paid very well, but I'm starting to get so tired with the other aspects. I can't really go into everything on here. For starters, I don't want to work there for the rest of my life and now I'm starting to feel like it's time to move on or something, you know? And while free movies is a very nice perk, I don't get any benefits that are now important to me like health care, dental, etc. I don't have that option. And I feel more and more like I can't handle the immaturity of some of the people that I work with. It's just getting to me. I so just wanted to cry while I was there today, but instead put myself to work stocking candy after the first show started. I contemplated calling someone to see if they'd come in and work the second show for me, but realized that I just have to stick it out for now. I so want another job right now. I still think I'd really like to be a writer, but I can't seem to sit down and write so I feel like that's going nowhere and maybe I should just put it off to the side and get a "real" job for a while - work full time for a while. I still want to write, but I have to have some sort of job until I finish at least one novel (and probably even after that since it's not exactly the kind of thing that gets you rich quick... unless you're J.K. Rowling). So now I just need to figure out what other job to get. I might have to get something temporary for a while if I can't come up with something that I would intend to be at for at least a couple years. I've gotten to the point where I just want out and to do something different.

So, last night I discovered that Not-Like-You.com has a video of the Never Gone Tour in Korea, I believe it was, up for download! Woo haw! 100+ Megabyte file, but yay for high-speed connections which give you a download time of eight-ten minutes. :D Hehe. I only watched the first four songs because I needed to get to sleep at a reasonable time, but it's so nice to have. :) Wish they'd still release a DVD though, because it'd be much better quality (even though this file is pretty decent) and I could watch it on my TV. We'll see.

In other news, there's not much other news. Today I put together Curious George and ran through it. It's a very cute/adorable movie! And, George is the only monkey I like. lol I generally don't like monkeys, apes, gorillas, whatever the heck you want to call them! Just don't like them. I consider other animals to be much nicer. George is just a cute little animated thing though. ;)

But yup, that's pretty much it. I've been sort of looking around on the internet for possible jobs I could get since I don't want to stay at the theatre much longer, but I'm not really finding anything that I'm qualified for and interested in. :( *sigh*
