Apparently, about twenty minutes after I left work on Sunday, some mean, mean teenage boys lit a firecracker in the theater during the movie!!! They scared all the poor little kids there and the guys had to call the cops, etc. The bummer is that they got away and all the guys were able to tell the cops was what they looked like. Grr. Stupid kids! What would possess them to do something so STUPID that could have hurt somebody?! I do not understand these hooligans. :(

Yesterday's work day was long. I managed to survive at least. lol And I must mention this interesting thing that Josh showed Charlie and I. He said I could post about it as long as I made it clear that he was the brilliance behind it. Josh had us each put a piece of popcorn in our mouths with one Dot (as in the candy called Dots), and chew it up together. He claimed that it tasted just like a Fruit Loops (as in the cereal). I was quite skeptic, and it didn't at fisrt, but after you're almost done chewing it, it totally does!!! lol Woah. When I got home, I watched Disney channel for a while when I got home before starting that mummy movie I taped off of Hallmark channel on Saturday. It wasn't that good. I suppose it was somewhat entertaining because I kept watching it, but I don't think I'll ever watch it again. Slightly bummed about that, but at least there's still The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, which are both great movies. ;) So, I was up until about 3 AM doing that. lol

Today my two Amazon.com orders arrived! YAY! Soundtracks to both SG-1 and Atlantis! I'm hoping I can make a ring tone using the theme song tracks. We'll see how it goes/how much it'll cost. lol I also got a few books, including one on cake decorating!!! :D I decided to go out today and see about getting the stuff I need to make one. I got some of it, but wasn't able to find it all. Looks like Michaels has some of the stuff, so I'll try and go there soon, and perhaps see about finding some stores that specialize in that stuff. Hoping to make my first one asap though because it looks like so much fun and I'm itching to see how it comes out. I'm pretty sure I can do it, just how much it will look like it does in the book, I don't know. ;)

In other news, I stopped by the theater after looking for cake supplies to see if the schedules were there yet, but they weren't. Then I went home and ate, and then back to the theater! lol Not for work though. My dad hadn't seen Over the Hedge yet and wanted to tonight, so I said I'd go since mom wasn't feeling her best. It was fun, and the movie's pretty cute/funny so I didn't mind seeing it again. :) Oh yeah, and then I found out from Brian K. and Tammy that there's a bonus scene at the end of X3 that we missed when we went to the screening! Aww man! I was planning on going to see it again anyway, so I'm totally staying through the credits because it's apparently very cool and changes some things. And well, that's all. Watching TV now and I think I'll search the internet for places to order cake decorating supplies in case I can't find a place around here to go buy them. ;)

Work was different yesterday since we were so over-staffed. I do believe that that is the first time we have ever been over-staffed while I've worked at the theatre. So, for the first two shows, I did hardly anything. lol I mean, I did stuff, but not at all as much as everyone else did. However, I did pull my own weight the final show. Go me! Haha.

Today, at least for the first show, it was the opposite. We were understaffed! lol There were two other people, one of them still a trainee, and myself for the first show and 200 customers showed up! And, to top it off, the majority of them didn't start coming until 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time for the show to start. We were a little slammed. Managed okay though, and all the customers seemed to be pretty patient with us, so that was very welcome. While it's crazy when something like that happens at the theater, I still think I've had worse at other jobs. Most notably when I worked at Subway and tour buses would come in large groups, and the time at Taco Bell/Pizza Hut that my co-worker said he was going on a break, but really left a note that he was quiting on the office desk and left me all alone with more and more people starting to show up. Good thing it was in a gas station and the guy working over there was able to call people to come help me after a while. I think that was the worst. lol Anyway, the second show today we had more people, and it wasn't nearly as busy. Figures, and I sort-of called that it would be like that, too.

I discovered this really good juice drink inbetween the shows I worked today. I went out to pick up a few things for the theater and decided to get myself something to drink. Josh had told me about this juice called Na.ked the other day, and they had some at the store, so I got the berry blast - I think it was called - one. It was SOOOO good! And it's good for you, too! So, on my way home, I went back to the store and bought a bunch more and some other flavors as well. It's expensive ($3.50 a pop), but worth it for the taste, I think. :) I probably won't buy anymore for a while though so that my wallet can re-coup. It still cost less than filling up a tank of gas, though, and it's completely environmentally friendly, so I feel it was money well spent. Ha!

I was going to watch this movie I taped off of the Hallmark Channel last night when I got home today, but it's not the type of movie my mom wants to watch (mummys and stuff), so we watched an episode of Atlantis instead, and then I just watched some other random TV for a while. Then, I did something productive!!! I finally remembered to ask my mom to help me finish and polish my resume, so we got that done, and then I started a cover letter for one of the companies I'm applying to. It's pretty much done; it just needs some revision. Oh, and I have to call the company on Tuesday or something and find out who to address the letter to. Not looking forward to that part, as it's a little scary to me, but I wrote down what I should say, so hopefully that will help me. lol I also need to make up a little digital portfolio. Theoretically, I could just give them a link to the one I already have, but I figured I should do a seperate one which would have a more professional look to it and showcase only my best work. Right? ;)

Well, that's all for now. Perhaps I'll do a few more productive things tonight, but I'm not sure. I may have reached my limit for the day. lmao And, hopefully I'll remember that I should go to bed at a semi-decent time tonight. I should pray about that one. Nighty night!

Okay, so recall my post about the layout I made for N-L-Y.com two posts down. I just now had the thought that I should check out the forums there and see if anyone made a thread about the new layout, and so I did, and behold, there is a thread about it! lol Most have good comments saying they really like it, some saying they were surprised it was pink, and then a few that didn't like it.

Excerpt: 1. "I HATE the new layout!!! SAM WHY THE HECK PINK????????? Every damn colour in the world but NOT pink... BOO HOO." and 2. "I really have to say I do not like this layout choice. Mainly because of the contrast of colors. and the style, The stripes and the rips down the side, one says clean the other says ripped up. Contrast in objective for the look in my opinion. But hey it's whatever you want. NLY is still a great site, just not the best design in my op."

I respect their opinions, and I didn't expect that every single person that saw it would like it. I think the pink one is just because they are like how I used to be before I decided to embrace the color pink. They may think it's too girly for the layout or something, I don't know, but I think it works well and is sort of masculine with the pictures of Nick. Yes, I refered to pink as being a masculine color. Please, no one hurt me. lol To the other comment, I sort of just laughed. I hadn't thought of it that way, and still don't see it that way, but I suppose I can understand where they're coming from. They sound like an interesting person with their word choices. Not to make fun, just me. So yeah, just thought I'd post because I found the comments interesting. :)

I'm bored. I should continue reading the current book I'm on so that I can move on to the next one, but I don't exactly feel like doing that right now. So, here I am. Oh yes, and I'm at work. And the keys are like stiff on this keyboard, and my hand keeps knocking the stupid touchpad! Oy! lol I sort of want to call a towtruck to get rid of these two cars that flippin' parked in the loading and unloading zone! I was being nice and told them both that they could get their kids settled in seats real quick and come back, and neither of them did. The one just moved her car back some, but it's still in the zone. I guess I feel like it would be too mean to have them towed, but they really should be. Maybe I'll just write them notes threatening them for next time. Humm...

In other news, I made hamburger noodlebake today before I left for work. It's been a while since I had it, and it's SOOOOOO good. I was semi-smart this time though, and I put half of it in the freezer, so hopefully I won't go crazy and totally stuff my face with it all. I'm going to try and be strong, but it's like my very favorite, so it's going to be difficult. So much my favorite, in fact, that I prefer to eat that for dessert when I can instead of ice cream. I KNOW!

Ow. I just had to demonstrate to the boys, AGAIN, how to change the popcorn oil, and somehow I cut myself. How did I manage that? And it sort of hurts. Ow. Poor finger. I am now having fun attempting not to use it as I type, but it's not really working. lol At least I don't think I'm getting any blood on the keyboard. ;) lmao

Okay, I guess I shall sign off for now, as I don't really have anything else to write about. Yesterday was nothing special. I did write myself a nice to-do list last night, so perhaps that will help me get some things done over the next few days or something. Oh yes, and I got another Disney pin in the mail today. I ordered a bunch off of eBay. lol They're super cute. The rest of them are actually coming from Hong Kong. So, they may take a bit longer. lol ;)

*giggles insanely and grins like a crazy person* You can all see the layout I made now!!!! Where? At Not-Like-You.com! :D I'm so excited that she decided to use it, and she said she really liked it, so that's why she put it up so quick. I must admit though, it's a bit weird going there and seeing a layout that I made. A good kind of weird though. :) And I just went into my e-mail and I've already got an e-mail from someone asking me if I do layouts by request and how much they cost. I'm all like, cost? lol I may have gotten myself in over my head now. Should I make layouts by request? I did years ago, but I don't know now if I'm up for that. Humm... Any suggestions?

In other news, I spent the day relaxing, and searching on Amazon for books on cake decorating. After watching all those Food Network Challenges, I'm inspired to try my own hand at it. I found one book that I shall probably order soon. Then, I hope that supplies are not too terribly expensive. :/ This book shows you how to make absolutely adorable cakes, though!

Yesterday afternoon I got myself a headache somehow. Joy. Just one of those random ones that pops up every once in a while. Anyway, I was not feeling wonderful when I got down to work and so asked Josh if he wanted to close for me. He said he would and it wouldn't be a problem. How nice! So, I got to come home early... and then my headache went away. lmao It was basically gone as soon as I got home. *shakes head* So then what did I do? I watched TV and then was struck by inspiration to use those pics of Nick Carter in the suit with the pink tie to make a layout. But not for me, for someone else, just for the heck of it. (I won't say yet as they're not sure when/if it'll be up.) But yeah, it's pink and pretty and I heart how it turned out. :D If the person I made it for doesn't end up using it, I'm sure I'll find one of my sites to use it on. ;) Oh yes, and I was up until four in the morning finishing it. *shakes head at self* Will I ever learn? I suppose not. And perhaps I'm doomed to a life of insanely late nights as that is often when I feel most creative. Maybe I'll force it to change to a more sane time someday, but for now I guess I'll just continue on in my crazy sleeping habits. ;) That's pretty much it, aside from saying that work was just fine tonight. Maybe I'll be super productive on my day off tomorrow. Who knows!

hot men wear pink ties icon I was totally inspired to make this icon. lol I just couldn't help it. There were new pictures at Not-Like-You.com, and I love the pink tie. lmao Yeah, yeah, I'm strange, but I bet the rest of you like the tie, too. ;) So yes, it is now the middle of the night, and I should probably be getting myself to sleep. Just felt the urge to make this and then post it to share with everyone. Please don't direct link to it. That wouldn't be very nice at all. *hugs* Ta!

P.S. I'm planning to make up a goal sheet for the writing and finishing of a novel after I've gotten some sleep. If I don't write about it in the next post, please hassle me and tell me that I need to do it and you must know as soon as it is completed. lol I'm going to write it on my board right now, but that's no guarentee. ;)

It's been mostly work since I last posted, but I do have other things to report! AMAZING. lol I'll start with work though and saying that I thought our weekend would be much busier than it actually was. I thought it was just a fluke that M:i:III did so badly for us, but now I'm starting to wonder what the deal is. I mean, it wasn't a terrible weekend, but I expected us to sell out a few shows and only one came fairly close with the rest only being about half full. *sigh* Poor theater.

Saturday I had the whole day off. What was I to do with myself? I watched Holes on Disney channel, then I watched last week's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and then... get this, I went outside for a while! WOAH. I got my camera and went out into the garden with my mom and the kitties! It was fun, and I got some pictures I quite like. That also means that TWO17.net was updated, and I would love some comments on any of the new or older photos there. :)

In the evening, I went down to the college to see Tammy in a play called "The Heidi Chronicles." She only had one scene in it, but I'm supportive, so I went. That's actually why I had the day off. I asked for just the evening, but my boss just gave me the whole day off. Worked out nice that way though. ;) Anyway... I talked to Tammy's parents until the show started, and then I sat with them, which was really nice. The last few plays I've gone to I went all by myself and sat in the corners. lol I had a very nice time chatting with them before the show and during intermission. Tammy did well with her part, but I didn't really like the play. I didn't understand half of it, and then with what I did understand, I felt like there was no point. It was like, "how did this ever get made into a play?" A number of the people in the audience were laughing and seemed to enjoy it, but I just didn't get the point and it wasn't my cup of tea as far as what story line there was. Oh well. I should have gone to bed as soon as I got home from that, but Spider-man was on TV, and I, of course, got sucked in and stayed up way too late.

Praise God for helping me get up at 7:30 this morning for church! It was all Him, and without Him, I would not have made it. Surprisingly, I'm doing quite well right now even though I didn't really get enough sleep. I think I'll watch a little TV or read for a bit when I'm finished with this, and then I'll go to bed. But yes, church was very nice because it was a confirmation ceremony kind of thing with the 8th graders talking about what they've learned from and about God in the last two years of this program they were doing, and it was very nice. :) The youth group also provided the music for this morning, and it was energetic as always. ;)

I got home from church, ate some yummy cold leftover pizza, and then went off to work. The day was slow in the standpoint of how many customers we had, but otherwise it was a little too "interesting" for my liking. *shakes head* Tammy asked me if I wanted to join this singles group in the summer with her and her friend, and I said no and that all the guys there are old. She was like, "okay," but then someone said something else and before I knew it her and Charlie were telling me how I should get myself out there and basically that I should get a life. Whatever. I mean, it's not that I want to be anti-social, but their ideas of what I should do are not mine. Then, there was the drama. Oh yes. I had thought that I left that behind when I got out of high school two years early (praise God for that!), but it's been forced upon me once again. Tammy sort of created some drama and brought me into it a bit towards the end of the day when I was talking to her and just trying to be nice and make her feel better. It's just a whole bunch of stuff that I won't go in to here.

P.S. Please go look at my photos and leave me comments. :D

So, I got up and out of bed at 7:30 this morning. Feakishly early for me, but worth it to see X-Men 3. :) It wasn't quite as awesome as I was hoping, but it was still awesome. I think I still like the second one better, but this one was very good with some things that totally surprised me. Also, I feel bad for Magneto's character. He's been through so much and then he gets delt a terrible blow at the end. Oh man, I totally want to say a whole bunch of stuff, but it would spoil everything. I will say, however, that Iceman and Pyro are both their good-looking selves and Angel is quite lovely too. ;)

Tammy and Brian K. both went with me to the screening. It was really good that Brian came because the stupid directions I got off of MapQuest were WRONG! That's flippin' the second time that's happened to me! Anyway, Brian basically knew where it was so after going the wrong way, we found a parking garage and then made it to the theater. I missed the first few minutes due to a bathroom run since we didn't manage to get there early like I had originally planned/hoped. Oh well. I shall be seeing it again anyway, I'm sure. lol Then, after the movie was over, we had a little fun figuring out which level my car was on in the garage. Basically, we went up and down stairs a number of times, Brian and I lost Tammy for a few minutes, I had to jump over stair railings (It was scary and I almost fell and died! Okay, I guess that's a little over-dramatic, but I'm sure I looked really funny, and it was scary and I almost fell.), then Brian and I were trying to figure out if we should just yell down the stair well for Tammy once we'd found where my car was, or go driving through the garage looking for her. Before we decided, Tammy walked out of the door from the stairwell so that was good. lol Fun, fun. Hopefully Brian wasn't too tramatized from having spent all that time with us. ;) I was nice though, and I didn't play a single BSB (or related) song on the journey. It's possible that could have killed him. Haha.

I came home after dropping them off at their vehicles and had myself some tasty left-over mac and cheese. I watched a little TV while eating that, and then I got myself ready to head to work. I stopped by a kitchen store on the way and picked myself up a kitchen timer for use in timed writing exercises. The grocery store wanted twice as much for their little digital one! As I was checking out, I saw these rubber ice trays in cool shapes. They had one that makes star-shapped ice cubes. I was like, "awesome!" and totally got one. I'll have to clean it when I get some free time and remember, and then I'll have the coolest ice cubes ever. ;)

Once finished with my little mini shopping spree, I went to the theater and was going to start building Over the Hedge right away, but Josh was there with the candy order, and so I ended up talking with him for a while. Then, I finally started building the movie, and my mom arrived when I had a few reels left to go. I was so happy she came to watch the movie with me! Yay! We laughed SOOOOOO hard! Oh my gosh... Over the Hedge is friggin' hilarious! There were a few inappropriate things in it, but I guess that's why it's rated PG. It was nice because the jokes were actually funny in a witty mannor rather than the stupid slap-stick stuff in most of the so-called comedies I've seen in recent months.

That finished up, and then it was time for the regular work shift. Wee! (And I meant that sarcastically.) lol It went well though. I had some fun while changing the marquee, but other than that, it was good. I told Nate some stuff from X3 and so was able to get a bit of the spoiling out of my system as he didn't care if I told him who died, etc. Oops. I just told you all people die in it. But, I mean, there's a big battle, so I guess you probably figured that out already. It's the fact that prominent characters die that makes it a spoiler. ;) lol

I forgot to mention that I ordered some Disney pins on eBay when I was home for lunch today. They're super cute, and one of them was being sold only in a set at Disneyland when I was there, so I post-poned shelling out $25 for it when I really only wanted the Donald pin, and then it was gone. Worked out much cheaper this way as I got that pin on it's own for much, much cheaper. :D I also got this cute Tigger one. I've got some other pins on my watch list and may be tempted to get those in the coming days as well. We'll see.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I took some posters home from work tonight. Mainly, the one for Poseidon. We probably won't end up getting it (sadness), so I figured it would be fine for me to take it now, and Nate thought so, too. Now, I just need to figure out where to put them in my room. Humm...

Well, I accomplished a few more things today. I vacuumed the house for my mom today, so that was one. Then, I did the touch-up stuff in my car, so that was two. Third, I made a friendship bracelet to go in the little gift/care package that's being taken to a girl my parents sponsor in Uganda. :D I hope that it'll fit her (since I just had to guess at how big her wrist is), and that she'll like it. I was also going to work on my resume and write a couple of cover letters, but then my computer was going crazy and even blue screened me! I ran Ad Aware and it found quite a few things to delete. Hopefully my computer is happy now. lol I also watched Oprah with my mom, and it was a good episode today with the Queen of Jordan and the President of Liberia (I think that's right anyway). Sounds like they're both doing and planning a lot of good things for their countries, so that's awesome. :) Oh, and we watched an SG-1 episode off one of the many DVDs I've purchased. ;) It stinks that I have to wait until Fall to get the seasons that ended a few weeks back on DVD. Faster people! lol Tomorrow shall be busy with work and the screening, so I don't think I'll accomplish anything then, but who knows.

I accomplished something today! Yay! lol My car had mold growing in the back seat and I had been waiting for a nice warm day to clean it out and give it a steam vac. Oh man, it was warm outside though and it sure felt like one heak of a little workout! *fans self* Whew! I think I'll probably have to do a few touch-up spots tomorrow, but it's definately clean-er than it was. ;) lol Maybe next I'll finish cleaning up my room. Who knows when that will be though. *shrugs*

Other than that, I just spent the rest of the day hanging around. I suppose I did sort-of accomplish a little something else though. I worked some more on my resume. I think I'll still need my mom's help/advice on part of it, but it's mostly finished. I also searched online for how to write a cover letter. Seems easy enough. Basically just a more nicely worded version of the resume tailored toward the specific job and adding why I'd like the job and whatnot. So, hopefully I'll send out a couple resumes and cover letters by the end of the week or something. That would be good. I still keep searching for jobs online, but nothing pops out at me that I'm also qualified for. *sigh*

Yesterday was pretty much the regular sort of day for me. I hung out at home doing whatever, and then I went to work. Very small show last night; only eight people came. We've had pretty bad numbers for this movie. I was really hoping we'd open X3, but the new owners decided to open Over the Hedge instead. :/ Blarg. I mean, it looks funny, but, personally, I think it would have been smarter to get something else for a week and then open X-Men 3. Oh well. Just further reminders that I need to apply to places and get a new job! lmao

Mother's Day was lovely. :) I gave my mom a card I had made this morning and then we went off to church where we listened to a nice message. Then, my dad and I took my mom out to lunch to a place we'd never gone before. It was this nice grill and they serve breakfast until 2 pm so I got this really good tasting french toast. It was on like their own bread that they make with good-sized chunks of cinnamon baked right in. Yummy!

When we got back, my mom called my Grandma and talked to her for a while while I got the quiche started. (That was my present to my mom. She wanted me to make her dinner, so I made quiche.) Then, I talked to Grandma for a bit. It's hard since she's not all there and she just doesn't stop talking really. You get a few words in every once in a while, and then that's it. She seemed happy, but I'm not sure how long that will last. I was just reminded about the not-so-good news I got to day. I think my subconcious was perposefully blocking it out. Before I got home this evening, my mom talked to one of my Uncles and apparently my Grandpa is moving out Tuesday morning. I don't know what's going to happen after that. I don't know how my Grandma is going to take it. My Uncle's going to stay with her that night, but after that, I don't know. My family could really use some prayers for those of you that pray if you would please. Just that no one will get hurt or hurt someone else and that my Grandma will start taking medication or something and get better. She side-swiped a car last week, and I'm worried something big might happen, and I don't want it to. *wipes away tears* Moving on...

Both shows at work today were REALLY slow. It was so sunny out and M:i:III probably isn't most mother's choice of a movie to go see today. lol People didn't even come until the last ten minutes before the first show. It was kind of weird. Then a few more people came late too, of course, so we still had a show. Brian K. and I reminised a bit about youth group in middle school during the first show, and then that led to a discussion on Disneyland. lol See, the year before I got into middle school, they all went to Disneyland on a youth group trip (so not fair!). But yeah, I was trying to explain the Haunted Mansion and I guess I didn't do a very good job. lol

Brian, Matt, and I played cards a bit before people started coming for the second show. We played war, but stopped before anyone actually won because it would have gone on for a long time, of course. Then, Brian was trying to get the internet working on the ticket computer again, and Matt and I went over there and we were all sort of trying to come up with what might be the problem. Then it dawned on me, and I suggested, that we do a system restore to back when it was working before I went on vacation, and maybe that would fix it. Neither of them knew how to do that! *shakes head* I explained, and it was restored, and now the internet works again! Oh yeah! I am the (WO)MAN! lol Both of them even gave me high fives that my solution solved the problem. I was like, woah, I get acknowledgement? DUDE! That felt good. ;)

Tammy came down with intention to watch the movie about ten minutes before the second show was going to start. I called my mom to clear it with her (since it's mommy's day) that it was okay if I stayed to watch the movie with Tammy. My mom said yes, but then I was helping Matt count down the tickets register and stuff and about twenty minutes of the movie had gone by before I was done. Since Tammy hasn't seen it yet, it was decided that we should try for watching it another night. We ended up hanging around for a while talking to Brian before we finally went by the store for julius ingreedients and came back to my house. We made delicious homemade orange julius. It's WAY better than the stuff at the chain. It was like old times again. :) We were going to watch a movie, but we got back late and just ended up talking. We talked for quite a while though and I learned some things that I didn't know before. It was interesting. In fact, I've a number of interesting things from tonight, but I shant write about them here. Man, I have to be careful about some of the stuff I write on here now that I made the mistake of blogging at work and not clearing the history. Too late now, though. But yeah, interesting.

I shall sign off saying that I get to go to the X-Men 3 screening on Thursday! I am so excited and I will definately blog to let you all know how awesome it is. If it's not awesome, I'm going to be seriously dissapointed. I watched the trailer twice at work today though, and it looks really awesome, so I'm hoping/thinking the rest of the movie will rock too! I'm so excited! Nighty night!

Mom and I went and saw Poseidon this morning! It was pretty snazzy! lol I liked it, and shall have to watch it again, though probably not until it comes out on DVD. It was rather nice because it wasn't a straight out remake of the original. They gave it different characters and a different run-through, I guess I shall call it. Same basic plot in that a wave hits the boat, it turns over, and they have to climb up to the bottom. ;) Way cooler graphics in this one than the last one though, of course. Haha. Basically, I liked it. :)

After the movie, mom and I went to the T-Mobile store so I could get a phone upgrade. Not that I needed one, but I wanted one. So, I got this one! And now I have WAY nicer ring tones. The first one I got was BSB's "The Call" and it's awesome! More shall be coming, but hopefully I won't get too carried away because all of those $1.99 per tone things can add up fast, I'm sure. ;) I'm still having a bit of fun getting used to using the phone as compared with the last one, though. At least they're both from the same manufacturer, but mine was a good few years old, so there are differences. After that was work, which went fine.

Yesterday I had off of work and went to church in the evening for a special event. There was an auction and fundraiser to help a non-profit group one of the families from my church started put wells in Uganda and help orphaned children. I went with my mom early to help some, and then I helped through it a bit and some more at the end. It seemed like it went really well. :D And, I guess that's all I have to report for now. Ta!

I've spent some of the day looking through job listings. It sucks. Especially since I don't really have a specific job that I want to have. I really just know what I don't want to do. lol And then there's the whole thing with me feeling unqualified for half the things that sound interesting. I can totally relate with this commercial that Cambridge College has got going right now. I wouldn't go there because it still costs a lot of money and I don't want anything at all to do with any aspect of the medical field, but the commercial is basically my thoughts. It goes something like: "I can't get a job because I don't have any skills. I don't have any skills because I didn't go to school. I didn't go to school because I don't have any money. I don't have any money because I can't get a job. I can't get a job because I didn't go to school..." Their commecial is all like, "break the cycle, financial aid available for those who qualify." *rolls eyes* The whole financial aid thing is a JOKE. Anyway... that's the cycle, and it's totally true. School is too expensive, otherwise I'd be there! I seriously had a thought earlier wondering if I could sue the government for not making a higher education more affordable and then perhaps win and get money so that I could go back to college. I'm guessing there's no chance at something like that though.

The rest of the day was largely spent watching TV. I did read for a while though, and finished A Secret Atlas by Michael A. Stackpole. I shall start the second book of the series tomorrow most likely. I've got quite the pile of new books to read that I've ordered from Amazon over the last few months. And then, I've got a bunch of new ones on my wishlist there. lol I'll call it my education. ;)

Raise your hand if you knew a Jonathan Rhys Meyers layout was coming after the last entry? Okay, so I can't really see any of you doing that, but I'm sure you all knew it was coming. ;) I'm sort of sad to have taken the Iceman layout down before the movie's even been released, but I was struck by inspiration to make this one and then wanted to put it up right away. It would have been up last night, but I, apparently, got myself a cold. Man! I just thought I'd slept with my mouth open the other night and then I hadn't gotten enough sleep, but I've got chills and whatnot now, so it must be a cold. Blarg. Chills is the worst, too. I'm cold when it's warm out and so stick myself under a blanket, but then I get too warm and push the blanket off only to get cold again a few minutes later. *rolls eyes* Oy! I feel better than yesterday at least.

Anyway, about this layout... I bet you might be wondering what pictures of the gorgeous JRM in a casino have to do with all the pretty, leafy, antique-looking brushes I employed in creating this layout, am I right? I swear there's a perfectly good, and rational, explanation that will make total sense. What? Would you believe that all those nice brushes were made from a 600 dpi scan of the front of a US dollar bill? If you've got one, look at it and you'll see! lol So see, casino, money... get it? I hope it's okay that I used that to make brushes. I mean, you don't think it's against the law or anything, do you? *wonders a bit* I just thought they looked pretty!!!! And they do, don't they? Good looks come at a price, though.

I was up from Monday night to 5 AM yesterday morning erasing the excess on the scan and making brushes. Then I didn't get enough sleep and went to work and felt like crap the whole day yesterday. lol I thought it would go away by the time I had to leave for work because it wasn't too bad while I was finishing up making the layout (after sleeping, of course), but it got worse. So, last night I got home and turned off my computer and went to sleep. *shock* Yeah, it was that bad! lmao (Not really that bad, but I knew I needed to sleep.) Unfortunately, I couldn't get to sleep for a few hours, then I took some night time medicine hoping that 10% alcohol would knock me out right away. I think it woke me up more. lol Then, I was too hot, so I put on shorts instead of my pajama pants and threw off all my covers. Finally made it to sleep at least a half an hour after that. I woke up some time this morning freezing cold and hand to wrench the blankets out from Balf. Poor kitty boy was just trying to keep me company and make me feel better, but I was cold!

I've spent the majority of my waking hours today on the couch in front of the TV drinking plenty of fluids. Then, my mom convinced me that I probably do have a cold rather than it just having been from a lack of sleep (though I'm sure that contributed), and she told me to take some Airborne and pop some vitamins. Wee. Then, you know, you drink so much, you have to pee flibbin' every commercial! lmao So, I elected to have a short break from the fluids while I'm on the computer. lol It shall be back to them shortly though, I'm sure.

Humm... what else? I was going to have a little mini contest thing to see if anyone could guess that I made those brushes from a scan of money, but then I thought that wouldn't be fair since most of you pals of mine online are from other countries. lol I don't think anyone would have figured it out without me giving them tons of hints anyway, though. ;) And, yesterday there was a meeting before work to officially meet the new owners of the theater. It well and they seem really nice, though I'd already met one the other day when I was in at work in the morning. So, hopefully all will change over smoothly and be good. :)

All right, I'm off now. SG-1 shall be starting in a bit and I suppose it's time to get back to drinking more fluids. I'm hoping I'll be all better by tomorrow morning. That would be lovely! Until next time, enjoy staring at the cute Irish man! :D I love the Irish! Heck, I'm part Irish! Genetics. ;)

Oh man, Jonathan Rhys Meyers... *fans self* Gorgeous Irish man!!!! Even just listening to M:i:III while I'm at work makes me picture him, and he's just so cute! lol I decided that when I got home I had to watch Bend It Like Beckham to see him again and here him speak with his pretty, pretty Irish accent. What? He's only eight years older than me... lmao

Work was pretty good today. The one exception was that this car alarm started going off in the parking lot, and it wouldn't stop! It flippin' went on and on and on and on for an hour and a half!!!! It would pause for a second, and then just keep on going. lol Oy!

Yesterday at work was interesting as well. Someone knocked the front bumper off this nice convertable. I didn't see it, but a witness to it came and asked me for paper to write down the info and everything. It kept Charlie and I busy in between helping customers. I feel bad for the people that had their car messed up. Major bummer.

Okay, can't type anymore. Sucked into the movie. lmao

I met the soon to be new owner of the theater this morning. I went down to break down the movie and she was there with an appraiser checking out the theater. She seems very nice and was interested to learn more about what I was doing with the projector stuff, and she stayed to watch me finish up, so I explained what I was doing and stuff. :) There's a meeting this coming week to officially announce it all.

I watched TV and did some other random stuff until the afternoon. Then, I went down to watch the first show of M:i:III since I didn't really see it all yesterday. lol It definately made a difference to see that reel that I messed up on yesterday. The movie was pretty good. I am quite confident, however, that X-Men 3 will be WAY better. ;)

When the movie was over, it was time for me to work. The show was moderately big. I thought we might sell out tonight, but we didn't. Brian K. said that means all the rest of the middle schoolers are going to come tomorrow to bother me, but I told him that if it's that bad, I'll just make him stay instead of me since he owes me a favor. Hahaha. He started to protest, but I just said bye and left. Wuahahaha. :p I looked up as I was walking away and there was some seriously awesome clouds tonight! My new T9 is coming quite in handy, so I whipped it out and took a few pictures of the clouds. They don't quite do the real thing justice, but still look cool.

cool clouds on May 5 of 2006

Now I'm just messing around on my computer while watching TV. I should probably go to sleep soon, but will I? I'm not sure. *yawns*

Let's see, yesterday... wow, I can't hardly remember it already. lol Oy, my brain. I do believe, however, that I spent the afternoon just hanging around the house and watching TV and whatnot. Oh yes, and I slept until the afternoon. ;) Then, in the evening, I went back to work. All went well and I think I remembered everything that I was supposed to do and how to do it, so that's good. Very small showing of people so I just did some editing on my NaNoWriMo story (which still isn't any further than it was in November) and read a bit from the current novel. I watched X-Men 2 when I got home because I felt like it.

Today, I woke up around ten-ish. Got ready, and drove to pick up Mission: Impossible III and the candy order. It was a little fun to fit all of that stuff in my car. The trunk, back seat, and front passenger seat were full! lol Holy cow! Then, I put together M:i:III and started running through it. When it got to the sixth reel, I realized something was wrong because everything was upside down and the words were all jibberish. lol I hadn't noticed that reel number 6 was backwards and so put the tail end on first rather than the header. *shakes head* Oy. It would have made things much nicer if I had noticed ahead of time, but I was putting it together in a bit of a hurry so that I had time to watch it before tonight's show. So, I ended up just letting it keep going through the backwards reel and on to the last two, which were fine. Then, I got to pull off reels 8 and 7 followed by 6. I then rewound reel 6 and put it on the platter in the proper direction and then put 7 and 8 back on. Fun, fun. It's odd though because that was the first real problem I've ever had building a movie. Go figure. lol At least it wasn't difficult to fix, just took some time. Hopefully it will all be good for the shows tomorrow. lol

When I was running through the movie (before I got to the messed up reel), Thomas came down to do the cleaning and asked if I was going to see the play he was in tonight. I was like, "huh?" Tammy was supposed to have reminded me, but she forgot, so it was good that Thomas said something. The high school did a rendition of "Into the Woods," and when Tammy explained it to me a few months back, I thought it sounded pretty good. So, since I had tonight off, I went and watched it. It was very humorous and everyone did a lovely job. Every time I see a play at the high school it amazes me that there are so many talented kids around here. Who would have thunk it?! Anyway, bravo to them all, and if Thomas is bored at work again some day soon and happens to read this, you did great.

Tomorrow promises to be fairly busy as well, so I must now get some sleep. It's insanely odd how I have almost no problem waking up early while on vacation in California, but I come home and it's back to my old ways right away. What happened? lol

Home SWEET home! While my trip was awesome, it is certainly nice to be back home again. I missed my parents and my kitties, and my room! lol You know what's crazy? I actually pretty much finished unpacking everything. Normally, it'd take me about a month to do that. ;) lol Anyway...

Yesterday Mike and I went and saw RV in the afternoon. It was pretty funny, and we both enjoyed it. Then, we went to an arcade and played video games and the little ticket games for about an hour. I gave my few tickets to Mike and he ended up with 50, which was enough to get one air head candy thing. lol So, we asked for one and the guy just gave us each one. How nice! We went back to his house and right after we got out of the car, Val showed up! lol Perfect timing! I said my goodbyes to everyone there that I hadn't said bye to yet, and then it was off to dinner.

Val and I went and ate at an Islands restaraunt. I got this chicken soft taco thing, and it was pretty good. And, of course, we split a basket of fries and covered them with salt, seasoning, and ketchup! Val is the only one I know who appreciates all those things in large quantities and mixed together on fries like I do. ;) After dinner we went back to her house and played pool. I barely got best two out of three games. lol I was way behind and then just kept sinking balls in. It's funny when luck kicks in some times. Heh. Then, we watched Spaceballs because I'd never seen it, and I recall someone (I think at work) telling me that it was funny and I should. Well, if whoever had originally told me to see it had also mentioned that Bill Pullman was in it, I would have seen it LONG before now! lmao *sigh* Bill Pullman is such a cutie, and he played the Han/Luke spoof character and it was beautiful. He even wore this adoreable prince getup at the end. So cute! lol I was clutching a pillow and yelling "I love you Bill" at the TV screen by the end. But yes, in the midst of all my drooling over Bill, I laughed a lot. It amused me quite a bit, probably more so since I really do like the Star Wars movies a lot. ;) Once that was over, Val took me to my Grandparent's and I pretty much went to sleep right away because I was tired.

Today, I woke up about an hour and a half before my alarm was going to go off because the dog was barking. Grr. Oh well. I ate breakfast and got ready, and before I knew it, I was saying bye to Grandma and Grandpa and I were off to the airport. He just dropped me off (got to save on paying those parking fees!), and I read a few chapters in the current book before it was time to board the plane. The flight went smoothly. I had to use the bathroom on the plane (can't stand that), but there wasn't turbulance while I was in there so that was rather nice. ;) Praise God! Landing went fine, and then I ran to the bathroom again. lol I just shouldn't take the drinks they offer on the flights anymore. But yeah... got all my baggage and my mom picked me up. It was SO good to see her!

We went to Wal*Mart so that I could get Brian's new CD, Welcome Home, and my mom ended up having a list of items she wanted to get as well. I also got another Care Bears shirt. They still didn't have the Grumpy Bear one I wanted, but they had this other cute one, so I sprang for it! Then we swung by Taco Bell so I wouldn't starve, and that certainly hit the spot. Ahh... Then the grocery store, one more stop and home sweet home!!! The kitties were both inside so I got to say hello and they hung out with me for a while; Angel more so than Balf - I think he's still a bit mad that I was gone for so long. :( I'm sure it will be okay eventually. :) Mom and I watched some TV for a while, I did the unpacking, messed with my computer some, and now this. I'm feeling rather tired, so hopefully I will be smart and go to sleep soon and not spend a few hours on here. Night!
