Wow, who knew how much stuff I had on my desktop? I mean, I knew I had a fare amount of files on there and all, but I didn't realize it translated to so much on CD-Rs! lol I've got like eight of the things filled up now, and I've still got more files to burn! Yipes! lol So, why am I burning all of my files onto CDs? Because I bought a new computer today!! *dances* It's got 2 Gigs of RAM and came with a 19" widescreen monitor! Woo hoo! See, I'm already really excited about it, but I haven't even opened the box yet, and I got it HOURS ago. lol I've been too busy burning away so that I can get stuff on the new comp ASAP. Hope it works when I pull it out of the box! lol And, it shall be nice to have a monitor that doesn't turn dark all the time. ;)
Yesterday I went to Emily's birthday party. It was lots of fun. Just a few of us (all girls) hanging out, chatting, and watching PotC 2! YAY! lol I brought chocolate chip cookies for Emily, and they were the hit of the party. ;) I was so glad too, because sometimes they burn and are too crunchy, and I don't like that--these ones came out nice though. :D
I can't remember what else happened since the last post, so that's all you people get. lol It was probably not that interesting anyway. ;) It's almost the new year! :D Bye-bye 2006. *waves farewell*

So on Christmas Eve, it rained. Yesterday, on Christmas Day, it was basically just overcast. Now, nearing the end of the day after Christmas, it is snowing!!! :D Better late than never. ;) lol It looks like it's sticking some too, but I don't think we'll get much and supposedly Thursday and Friday are supposed to be sunny. But either way, I'm always a happy camper when I see snow falling outside or wake up to find it covering everything. :)
I've spent all of my Christmas gift money already. Yeah, I'm just that good. ;) lmao I basically have a list of books and DVDs that I'd like to get, so I just made a little dent in that with the money I was given by a few relatives. :) Mom and I went out to do a little shopping today. We went to CompUSA and my mom got a new computer for her and dad--FINALLY! lol Their computer was slow as heck and like a poor creature limping to its death. Now they should hopefully have a nicer time of computer things. We haven't set it up yet because my dad needs to get a cable so that he can transfer the files he wants to keep from the old one to the new one. Anyway... mom and I also went to Mervyn's which is closing and now at 70-90% off! I got a JanSport backpack for $9, instead of the regular $30, so that was nice. :) I've been needing a new backpack, so it worked out great. Then, mom dropped me off at Barnes & Noble while she went to the grocery store and I bought a book with the gift card Kenny gave me. I only had to shell out 23 cents after the gift card was rung through--how nice!

Merry Christmas!!!!
I hope you all have had a great day--mine was wonderful! :) Got up and had breakfast with everyone, then opened stockings, followed by presents. I got lots of stuff this years, which sort of surprised me. lol I was not expecting to get so much! Anyway, I got lots of little things that are too numerous to mention along with the following:
A Care Bears 2007 Calendar -- yay!!!
Two books on the history of Ireland -- woo! interesting + research!
A novel about Ireland -- from Sam
A jar of cookie mix -- from Tara
A book about Stargate
A Christian book
Some bath stuff
Socks
Perfume
A shirt
The Game of Life, PotC Dead Man's Chest version -- SHEAH!!!
TWO dark chocolate oranges -- thought I was only getting one, but double yay for two! Hehehe.
I think that pretty much covers it. Oh, and I got a gift card and bit of money, too. :) I've already put the money toward some more books. lol Yay for books! ;) I also got the kitties a little lazer light toy where you can set the lazer to appear in different shapes (like a mouse or a butterfly), but thus far they are not too thrilled with it. lol I should have known their too smart for that and know they can't catch the light, so why bother? Maybe they'll play with it some tomorrow or something just to make me happy that it gets a little use. ;)
I talked to some of my cousins and aunts and uncles not long after presents. Then my parents took our guests out for a scenic walk and I stayed home to make mashed potatoes and dance around the house to my mom's Best of Olivia Newten-John CD. lol Fun. ;) Once the potatoes were done I called Sam and talked to her for a while. Poor Sam. One of her web client's server crashed and the host company didn't have backups (stupid!) and Sam couldn't find hers from when she got a new computer, so now it's no fun. At least she liked the present I got her and her other stuff! lol *sends Sam a hug* Then, I called Ran to wish her a Merry Christmas and we chatted for a while as well. I also tried to call Val, but she didn't answer so I just left her a message.
We ate dinner pretty quick after everyone else got back, and it was quite tasty. :) My potatoes came out pretty good, but probably could have used more salt on them. lol Anyway... that was nice. Then I got some down-time because two people took naps and two were doing sudoku puzzles. So, I got on my computer for a while and ordered stuff from Amazon, and mom got on her computer for a while and did some e-mailing. Then our guests left and we said our goodbyes.
I called the cabin to talk to some more of my cousins and my aunt and uncle. Poor CJ had just gotten a war wound from helping one of her brothers get his truck out of the hole in the snow it had dug itself into: she got whacked by a snowboard in the chin. Ow! She said it didn't ruin her Christmas or anything though, it just hurt. I called the brother who had left (Michael) after I hung up with the cabin, but had to leave him a message. Then my mom called another portion of the family and when the phone was handed over to me I got to talk to my cousin Keith for a while. That's was a very nice chat. I don't have contact with them much during the year, so it's nice when I get to talk to them and some of the other cousins that I talked to today as well. I really need to get all of their e-mail addresses. lol Why I don't already have them, I do not know. Anyway, I talked to Keith for a fair bit before Mike beeped in on the other line. Mike and I then talked for quite a while until my cell phone battery started to die out. lol
After all the conversations, my parents played PotC Life with me. :) It was lots of fun, but probably would have been more fun if I had remembered the rules better and hadn't messed up on a rather important part. lol We made it work though, and now I shall be better prepared for next time. ;)
In short (if you've just skimmed until now), I had a very lovely Christmas. :D I hope that you all did as well!

Yesterday I went down to the theatre and delivered cookies and some cake to everyone. Hopefully they all liked them. ;) And, not only was I so nice as to bring cookies, but I am the WOMAN and I got the internet on the ticket computer working again when none of them could! Hehe. It just needed the magic touch of Holly. ;) Landon was all like, "I'll give you a dollar if you can fix it." Then, as I was going through stuff he was saying how he'd already tried that, etc., and if I did get it to work he'd be really mad. Oh, I got it to work! lol Then he wouldn't even give me a high-five. *shakes head* Josh did though, so it's okay. lol You know, when you're really excited about having accomplished something, you've got to get it out in a high-five and if no one will give you one, it's just sad! So, I didn't have to be sad. lol It was nice to stop in and say hello.
Today I got up and out of bed before noon! Woo! lol Then I did a few last chores before company arrived. There was chatting, and eating, and then church service. I volunteered to help out tonight, so I was there for both services. I got to see Wes, Nate and Laura (previously from the theatre), whom I hadn't seen in quite some time, so that was really nice. Chatted with a few other people as well after first service, then went back to my duties.
Now I'm just here... hanging out. I guess I'll try to go to bed soon so that I can get up around 9:30 tomorrow morning for presents and such. :) Goodnight and Merry Christmas!

This time I mean it: never again. Never again am I messing with fondant on a cake or anything else! Oy! lol You know, on TV it looks so much nicer to work with. Mine's either too sticky to do anything with or too hard to roll out! Somehow I managed, though, and made the cake you see to your left. It's a holly cake! :D *dances* lol At least I was smart this time and cheated on the cake part. I used a Betty Crocker box instead of making the cake by scratch! lol Tastes a lot more chocolately and yummy that way anyhow. ;) The cake didn't turn out like my drawing, but it's kind of cute. I think I liked my holly cookie better. Oh yes, along with the cake I baked cookies today!! :D What's December without holiday Christmas cookies? I mean, c'mon!
So, I finally got my butt into gear and made them. My mom and I are going to finish decorating them tomorrow when the frosting dries so we can use the food coloring pens to draw on them (I used them for the holly ribbon on the cake). Anyway, before I made the cake I did the cookies and I made this rad holly cookie!!! YEAH! See my pattern that I have? ;) I'm taking most of the cookies down to the theatre for the workers. I know, I'm so nice. ;) And... yay sprinkles! lol Ooh... that reminds me, I meant to put sprinkles on some of the frosting covered cookies! *runs and does that real quick*
Okay, now that the cookies are taken care of, you must all check out this absolutely hilarious picture that I took at the grocery store earlier! *guffaws* We were at the checkout stand and I looked at the funny tabloids as I usually do. I find many of the headlines hilarious. Once before there was this funny one about how the end of the world was going to be in a few days, etc. Today, there was a great one! lmao Everyone click here for funny stuff!!! *tries to stop laughing so that she can type* Big Foot diet!!!! HAHAHAHA! "It can work for you too!" Hehehe. :p
And speaking of funny, that reminds me of this great video I was shown on Thanksgiving that I kept forgetting to write about here. Check out The Grocery Store Wars!! lol It's hilarious and brilliant, and go organic people! It's safer. ;) I also watched Star Wars III this evening with my mom, so now we've watched all six over the past few months. :) Good stuff. Why Anakin? Why must you go bad? Didn't you know that if you just stayed good Padme would have lived and been fine? *sigh* And, Obi-Wan is the MAN! He seems to not get so much credit, but he is a very skilled Jedi. Dude, I so want to be a Jedi. I hope George Lucas does the series like I heard rumors about and I can be a Jedi extra in an episode or something! WOO!

Did I do anything yesterday? Not having a job, nor having people to go out with, it's hard to remember what happens many days. *shakes head* Whatever! lol Oh, I watched Narnia with the "fun facts" turned on, so that was kind of rad. The only thing about that is that half of the facts they put on the screen are only up for two seconds, and I CANNONT read that fast people! lmao Sheesh! It was very cool though. I am enjoying learning more about Narnia and C.S. Lewis the past few days--I am reading a book about Narnia and the stories' parallels to the Bible, as well as some of C.S. Lewis' thoughts on Christianity. It's very interesting. :)
Of yesterday, I also got a fortune--that could be rather nice to have come true--from a fortune cookie: Focus on your long-term goal. Your wish will be granted next year. Well, if that refers to writing and finishing a novel, and it happens, I'll be a happy camper! ;) lol I don't really hold much for fortunes though, so we'll see what God has planned. :D
Today I had planned to do some baking, but that didn't happen. Hopefully it shall tomorrow. I'm planning to make sugar cookies, and hopefully a cake that I've designed on my own. :D Recall my last cake-decorating experiance (the Knight with the tent), and I believe I said something about not wanting to do that again, but this one should be much simpler, so I think I'm going to give it a shot! It's Christmas related, and I'm hoping to take it to share with the people at my church on Christmas Eve, if they are doing snacks that night. :) Shall see.
Anyway, today I just sat in front of the TV and did some stuff online. lol I got to talk to my cousin Mike on AIM for a while though, so that was really nice. :D Had to cut it short though because Love's Abiding Joy was starting on TV and mom and I have been waiting to watch that again. :)
Oh yes, and lastly, I have enrolled in a seminar a couple months from now. It's supposed to tell me how to go on free or extremely cheap vacations! That would be lovely! You know, especially since I don't exactly have a job to afford vacations. ;) lol Hopefully I will learn good things and get to go visit Sam in England next year! :D I wanted to go this year (and I'm talking school years, by the way), but that's probably not going to happen. Anyway, since England is right next door to Ireland, I'll be going there as well. *is pre-excited* I'm really hoping for this. It would be lots of fun! I should try not to get too pre-excited about it though or get my hopes too high just yet. ;)

Showers are nice. Especially when it's been four full days since your last one. lol I am currently cured of being bothered by going out with greasy hair. Not sure how long it will last, but for now... So, you're probably a little grossed out now and wondering why it is I've not had a shower for four full days and a bit. It's possible you may have heard that many people in Washington state have been without power since Thursday evening. Guess who was one of them! *raises hand* Power is nice. Heat is nice. Running water is nice. WARM, RUNNING water is REALLY nice! lol Praise God for power and modern conveniences!
So, it all started around 11 PM on Thursday night: wind storm. The power went out, so I went and read in bed before deciding to "go to sleep." Normally, that in itself is hard enough for me, but this time it was impossible for a few hours with the wind howling as it was. There were some dang STRONG gusts inbetween the constant blowing and it was a little scary. I feel for the poor people who are in their homes during hurricanes or tornadoes. As far as I heard, we just had gale force winds, but they were supposed to get up around 90 MPH, and it sure sounded like it was close to that. God is good, and no trees fell on our house or cars or anything. Lots fell on power lines though. *cringe*
Friday was cold, but not too bad without the power. The parents and I played games in the evening and I got some entertainment watching them dance silly. lol The kitties were SO nice and they both slept on my bed. Man though, I was buring hot in bed Friday night! Odd, considering it was quite cold. *confused* Whatever. Saturday we went out to where there was power! We went to the Olive Garden and finally sat in the bar (woo!), but no one asked to check my ID. Buggers. lol Then we went to the movies, and I got to see Eragon, which I had been planning to see on Friday morning (but there was no power at theatres, lol). DON'T go to see Eragon.
Read the book, but do NOT go to the movie. You know, I expected it to be torn up from what the book is, just as the Harry Potter movies are, and many others have been. However, I definately didn't expect it to be THAT bad. I am honestly compelled to write to the author of the book, Christopher Paolini, and give him my condolences, the print to film was so butchered. Totally changed the lay of the land, made WAY too much of the love story between Eragon and the elven girl (who's supposed to have dark, RAVEN colored hair *rolls eyes*), changed a HUGELY important part of Murtagh's character, etc., etc. The thing with Murtagh probably ticked me off the most as in the novel he CLEARLY does not want to go to the Varden (for a good reason, which I shall not write and spoil for those who've not read the book yet), but in the movie he's all gung-ho to lead Eragon there. Oh my gosh, the crimes against the novel as seen in the film are so numerous I could probably write a novel describing them all. I mean, it's entirely permissable to take out some things, but to butcher the STORY itself and change everything except that the boy finds a dragon (okay, there were a few other things they didn't change, but not a lot) is ludacris. Egh! Now I must strengthen my resolve to become an author and screenwriter and write screenplays that do justice to the books they're based on!
Saturday night at home was colder, but we survived. I did a lot of reading over the days of power loss. I was reflecting on how I am so glad that I like to read and wonder what the video game generation finds to occupy themselves with the power out? I mean, once the batteries to their hand-held games die. lol ;) Anyway... Sunday I think we stayed home all day, but I really can't remember. Or did we stay home Monday and go out on Sunday? Maybe it was Sunday that my mom and I went out shopping. Yes, in fact, I do believe it was, and dad went skiing. Anyway, I got a new pair of pants and got in a rare trip to Taco Bell. lol Then I think yesterday we stayed home all day. My mom tried to book a hotel room for us for last night, but that didn't work because EVERY hotel within a large distance was completely booked with other people who had the same idea as my mom. lol
Earlier today, my mom and I went and saw The Persuit of Happyness, which was very good. And man, it makes not having power for four and a few days seem not so bad compared to what Chris Gardner went through, and what other people go through. I need to remind myself of that more and try to find some way to help or something. Not sure what, but regular praying is a good start, right?
After the movie, we went shopping for a bit, and then returned home. We some some lights on the way and were hopefully, but the power was out still when we arrived home. Bummer. Thankfully, we do at least have a generator, so during the day the fridge was plugged in as well as a little space heater and the microwave on a few occasions. Praise God! Though, it was still not fun because our water does not work without electricity. Eek! lol Anyway, I called the power company and got through and they said that they hoped to have the power on before we went to sleep tonight! Woo hoo! About 20 minutes later at 5:35pm, the power came on!!!! My mom and I did a happy dance. lol Then, 10-15 minutes later... it turned off again. OH! Tease us so power company! It was out for about 30 mintues, then came back on and has been on since. YAY!!!!
Once we had power again, we cranked up the heaters and found joy in lights come on, faucets working, and toilets flushing without having to pour water in them to make them flush! WOO!!! lol It all makes for a good story, right? ;) I watched a movie on TV, then got on the computer and checked e-mail, etc. I am now watching Pirates 2 as I write this. It came yesterday along with Cursor's Fury by Jim Butcher, which I've just started to read. :) And now, I shall focus my attention on the movie. ;) Yay for power!

So, I just sent an e-mail to Lucas Grabeel. Not sure if he'll read it, but I sent it. lol Sam was online for a bit, and stayed up a while later to read it for me when I finished writing it. You're the best Sam!!!! So yeah... *laughs at herself and wonders if Lucas will read the e-mail and think she's crazy*
Since I was all excited about the concert when I posted last night and the wind was trying to blow our house down, I did not write about the weekend and my dad's birthday. His birthday was on Sunday, but we had the party for him on Saturday. His brother and sister and their spouses came, and Kenny made it as well. We chatted, had food, and watched our favorite comedian on DVD, Don Friesen. My dad said he had a good birthday, so I'm glad. :)
On Friday, I went out and did stuff! *shock* Yes, it's true. I went and met up with a new friend, Emily. Well, I've sort of known her for a while, but Friday was the first time we ever got together to hang out. We went to a coffee shop with the plan to write since she's also working on SF/F writing. However, we didn't do any writing. lol We talked for three and a half hours instead. But, as she pointed out, we talked about our writing, and that was a step closer to actually doing it! Yes, this is what I'm telling myself. ;)

My ears are ringing. Why? Well, some of you shall laugh and others that know me better will just roll your eyes and go "oh, Holly." lol I went to the High School Musical Concert in Seattle tonight! Oh yeah baby! And it was good! I took lots of pictures, which I will be putting up whenever I get around to it (hopefully soon). So now you're wondering: why wasn't this on HoL's calendar--why didn't she post all excited about it before this? Well, because I was waiting until the last moment to buy my ticket. See, I'd heard that you could get really good seats a day or two beforehand, or even the day of, and I thought this was a good opportunity to test this tid-bit out. Guess what... it's true! I got a 2nd row floor seat off of Ticketmaster last night! Woo!
So, I had my mom and dad take me. Yes, I'm 21 and I had my mom and dad drive me to the HSM Concert. Don't look at me funny, my car has a lake in it and Seattle's scary during the DAY let alone night! Pish! Traffic was not good, so I got there a few minutes after seven (which was the time it started), then had to walk around the arena to get to the will call window for my ticket. lol I got in and could hear the opening act going. I went in and made my way down to the floor, then had to go to the other side of it, and then found row 2 (not too hard to find, lol) and had to step on 15 people's feet before getting to my seat. *sigh* They put the folding chairs for the floor rows WAY too close together and I was surprised I made it through to my seat! I kept saying sorry to everyone as I squished past them. I felt so bad. lol Oh yeah, then I discovered my seat was pretty much center stage. Woo yeah baby! I didn't know where it was until then, so that was kind of cool. I might prefer being a little more to the side of the stage, but I'm not going to complain. ;)
I went partially deaf before the show even started! I'm talking house lights still on and everything. There were cameras that kept going over the audience and the little girls behind me were screaming directly into my ears. Ow. lol Oh yeah, I didn't see anyone my age there. I'm sure there were a few, but I didn't see them. Just little kids, teens, and parents. I had fun though! Oh yes, and I might be on TV! lmao One of the guys from Disney 365 is a backup dancer in the show and he was out on the stage before the show recording a segment and walked in front of me, so I might be there. lol I'll have to watch for it on Disney Channel and see. If I am, I'll probably only tell one or two people because I bet I look like a dork. lmao
When the show started, I was expecting everyone to jump up from their seats--that's what happens at Backstreet Boys concerts--but no one did. I sat almost the whole concert because that's what everyone else was doing. It was weird. And I felt like a terrible concert-goer. I mean, if I was a performer, it wouldn't seem good to me that everyone was sitting down. Hopefully they didn't mind; and it's just different since it's for a bit of a different audience than a BSB concert. lol I got to stand twice when they asked us two, so I felt a bit better then.
I tried to take as many pictures as I could of Lucas Grabeel, but the boy paces when he talks and that doesn't do well with my little point and shoot digital camera when the flash is off! C'mon Lucas! lol I was being considerate and not blinding you with my camera flash and everything, but you couldn't stand still. ;) I still got a fair few good pictures of him though, so I suppose I'm a happy camper. I also got some good ones of Drew Seeley who sand "Dance With Me" tonight and made me a very happy camper since I really like that song. :) So yes, I'll be honest, I went to the show for two main reasons: Lucas Grabeel and Drew Seeley. So sue me! lol At least Lucas is a year older than me and Drew is three years older than me, so I'm allowed to like them. Haha!
Oh yeah, Lucas saw me! How do I know? He pointed out to Corbin that the two girls sitting to my right had a sign for him and they lifted it up and screamed and both of them looked over. I was like, "umm... hi." lol I didn't really say that, and I didn't wave either, because it was the girls next to me, not me, but I know Lucas had to see me. ;) I'm considering e-mailing him to see if he remembers me. What do you guys think? lol
After the show, I had to wait for my parents, so I went around to the side to see if the tour buses were leaving, etc. What else was I going to do? No luck though, which I figured. I had fun though, and I guess it was worth the $70 I spent for the ticket. Eep. Steep price. Darn Ticketmaster's fees! lol
Now, I think I shall finish up this post as the wind is rather strong and I'm worried the power will go out. lol I'll put up a bunch more pictures from the show in my concerts section eventually. ;)

I watched Memento for the first time today after being told many times by a few different people that I "would really like it" and "it's so good." Not so. I mean, it's a very interesting way to tell a story going backward and all, but I was extremely dissatisfied with the ending. Maybe I missed it, but I did not see a resolution. It felt like--to me--the author of it hadn't decided what the outcome would be, so just ended it and left it completely open to interpretation! Maybe some people like that, but I prefer to have a pretty clearly defined resolution of some kind at the end of a story. In this movie, I never found out what had really happened, and I find it agitating. Oh well.
I accomplished a few chores today after finishing the movie: cleaned the bathroom, finally folded my clothes, searched for buried treasure in the kitty litter box. I even coded up a layout for the site I'm paid for, and am now just awaiting approval before I continue and re-do all of the pages. That shall most likely have to wait until after the weekend, however, as company will be here. My mom did point out, though, that I could do some of it because all the company is older people, so I'm not required to be social the entire time and may retreat to the comfort of my hallow, so-to-speak. ;)
Lastly for this entry, my mom and I watched the newer version of Little Women tonight, as we hadn't done so for a while and I mentioned it the other day. I must write about the scene where the littlest sister, Amy, burns Joe's manuscripts just because she was not allowed to go to a play with them. How horribly evil of the little child! I had always thought it terrible, but this time I viewed it as even more hanously evil since I've decided I'm a writer. To destroy someone's writing out of spite is so terrible. She could not re-write it as it was originally; only what she could manage to remember. So sad. Unfortunately, most writers have to deal with losing some of their work at some point whether by forgetting before having the chance to write it down, or perhaps by computer problems and not saving often enough. *sigh* Is it too much for me to hope that I don't have those problems? I guess things can be re-written, but when it's so hard to write it in the first place sometimes, how do you do it again, I wonder?
Good-night; and God bless. :)

I kept meaning to post the last few days, but then also kept forgetting at the times when I was sitting at my computer and could do so. I have finally now remembered and am typing away. However, the question will be whether or not I can remember all the things I kept meaning to type. ;)
On Saturday we took my Aunt to the airport. We got a nice visit in, so that was good, but below freezing weather does not work so well for people visiting from Southern California. lol Just like when I visit there and it gets really hot and I can't deal with it anymore and just want rain and cold. What has become of me?! lmao On a more sombre note, that evening my step-brother got into a car accident. I guess his car got totaled. Thankfully, he just had a bruised rib and one other minor injury, so he's okay. Didn't have that kind of insurance for his car though, so I'm not sure what he's going to do about that.
Sunday my mom and I went and did a little shopping and then saw The Nativity Story. VERY GOOD. It's been a long time, unfortunately, since I've read the story of Christ's birth in the Bible, but my mom read it the other night after we watched it, and she said everything in the movie was bang on with God's Word, so that is awesome. :D
Currently I cannot remember Monday at all. lol Maybe it never happened? Anyone else think we skipped Monday? ;) Tuesday, my mom and I went out shopping again. All the Mervyns (sp?) stores in our state (and in Oregon, I believe, as well) are closing, so we went to see if there were any really good deals. There weren't, but my mom got a couple of things anyhow. We also went to Petco and I got a little lazer light toy to give my kitties for Chistmas. It's so rad. You can turn the lense to change the shap of the lazer displayed, and one of the ones is a mouse! Cute! I'm so excited to try it out, but it shall have to wait until Chistmas, otherwise the kitties will feel left out that day, and that would be no good. ;) We also met up with my dad for dinner before heading home.
Today I went with my mom to work. She worked, I read. lol Then we went to the grocery store to get stuff for this weekend. It's my dad's birthday and some of his family is coming up to celebrate. We had to go to a second grocery store, though, because the first did not have the carmels I needed to make the treat my dad asked for. How rude! lol
My only other news for today is that I've been given the go-ahead to code up a layout I made and get the pages ready for a site I'm getting paid for. WEE!!! The extra money from this when it's finished will be very helpful right now, and might mean that I could actually afford to go to the High School Musical concert if I can get a really good seat. Yes, I want to go. lol I've told myself that I will only go if I get a seat within a certain number of rows closest to the stage, though. We'll see.

Happy December all!!! I wore a Chistmas shirt today, and then this evening they played Mickey's Once Upon A Chistmas on Disney Channel, so I watched that, even though I've got it on tape, too. ;) I really like the last story with Mickey and Minnie. I cry or at least have watery eyes every time I watch it. You can make fun of me if you want, but it's super sweet and has such a nice meaning behind it, so I think I'm allowed to cry. Who says a Mickey Mouse cartoon can't move you? lol
The only other thing to write about for today is that I finally saw An Inconvenient Truth, which I rented when we were out yesterday. It is aptly named for the subject matter--being global warming--and there was a lot of good information in it. I wish it had just been his slide show presentation and speech, though. All the little added things didn't make sense or didn't even relate at all to what he was talking about. It was like, "Hey, I'll just shove this in here for the heck of it!" lol But, at least it's nice to know another influential person is trying to raise awareness. Global warming is real and happening people! Wake up! There is evidence! Man, I feel so crappy though living in the U.S. when we are by far the worse polluters on the planet and the vast majority of our leaders (and many citizens) don't give a shmuck about it. :( Rawr. I care.
Oh, and yesterday my copy of Acid Music Studio came! Woo! I get to have me lots of fun playing with making remixes of things, etc. now! I already made one "song" last night. I put it in quotes because all I really did was arrange about 24 free loops that came with it into a five minute piece of music. It's space-y, and I think it's fairly okay for my first try. lol The program is lots of fun though, and dang easy to use. They even have a free version where you can do most of the stuff as the home version (which I have, there is also Pro), but you can only have ten tracks max per project, so that's why I opted for buying the full version when it was on sale for $30 off! Woo! lol Okay, off to bed for me now.
