Now I hate Myspace even more!!! Myspace must die! Not only are there discusting photos all over the place and naive people giving out all sorts of personal information about themselves for freaky evil people to get, but then there is this: some [insert curse word here] is direct-linking to an old layout header for this site that is up on my online portfolio! [curse word again]! It's got my domain name on it and everything. Grr. I found out when I was looking through my web stats and I was like, "who the heck is linking me from myspace?!?!" Some idiot teenager from Mass.! So what did I do? I wrote to myspace asking them to contact her and make her remove the offending image. They'll probably be obnoxious and do nothing about it, but maybe then I'll be obnoxious and flood their inbox with the same e-mail over and over again until they do! Wuahaha! I'm ticked; if you couldn't tell. Grr. I won't deem to link to such an EVIL website from my blog (it's horrendous enough that I had to simply write the name of the thing on here), but if anyone wants to see the offending profile, you can e-mail me and I'll give you the link. Please, if you have a myspace... STOP. If not, stay strong and do not give in!

It's been some time since I last posted. I was actually semi-busy (well, for me anyway), and then was just not feeling like doing much a few of the days as well. Anyway, I shall start off with news of my kitty boy.
We took Balf to the vet on Tuesday since he didn't seem to be doing better. They did a blood test and at least all his major oragans were fine, so that means he's not sick from the cat food that was on the recall list. It was over $200 after the visit, the blood work, and the anibiotics that they gave him. Ouch. He seemed to be doing better that day though, so that was good. Wednesday the vet called with the results of the rest of the blood work (their equipment was acting weird so they sent it to a lab and I had them add on the test for feline lukemia). Most everything was okay except that there were signs he was sick, obviously, and the doctor said his blood plaitlets were low. I have no clue what that means. He went on and on about stuff, but I didn't understand what he was saying except for the things to keep an eye out for. I told him that Balf seemed to be doing better so he said that we should come in and get some anibiotics that we could give Balf ourselves. So, mom picked that up while she was out that day. Well, later that night Balf thew up again and there was this odd stringy thing in it that looked sort of like spaghetti. Ew. My mom put it in a plastic baggie and next morning I searched on google to see if it was a worm. It sounded like one and I called the vet and they told me to bring it in, so there was another trip. Yup, it was a roundworm. GROSS! My poor, poor kitty boy! So, they gave me medicine for that. Balf seems to be just fine now. No more vomit and he's been going outside and acting normal. I think that's all it was from the start. So, hopefully all the nasty worms will be gone really soon if they aren't already. The medicine for it is in two parts that are two weeks apart, so hopefully they're pretty much all dead and the last part will make that conclusive. *shudders* Poor kitty.
Somewhere in that time I managed to clean my bathroom and clean up my room a bit for Tara's visit. I also wiped the hard drive on my old desktop to get it ready to sell. But yes, at least I managed to get that stuff done and Balf was feeling better for when Tara came on Friday.
She got here around two in the afternoon and we chatted for a bit before going out shopping until it was time to go to the theatre and see TMNT, which we were both very excited for. :) Neither of us bought anything though, while we were shopping, so I'm not sure we can even call it that. lol We went over to the theatre and got our tickets and a really big slurpee to share. I ended up drinking most of it, but still managed to hold out till the end of the movie for the bathroom, so I was proud of myself! lmao The movie was good. I think they could have done a little better job on the story (which is why I didn't say it was awesome), but, of course, the graphics were amazing! I'd like to see it again, but I'm not sure I can afford it. Sadly, after all the money I gave to the vet and not having a job that gives more hours I am beginning to run low on funds. I still have a fair amount in savings, but I was sort of hoping to keep most of it there. lol Anyway...
After the movie I took Tara by the theatre I worked at and gave her a quick tour, and then we came back to my house for dinner. I made hamburger noodle bake on Wednesday night and was dying to eat it! lol Seriously, it was a real struggle for me to wait until Friday before I had any. Remember, I wrote that poem about noodle bake? It's safe to say I like the stuff a little too much. Especially since I ate most of the entire batch. I mean, my dad had some and Tara had some on Friday night, but then I ate all the rest for all my meals on Saturday and it was gone. Truly, I am at the mercy of noodle bake and I must not make it again unless a bunch of people are coming over so that I can only have one serving.
While we were eating we watching the BSB All Access video and reminisced about the old days that will never be again. We pretty much talked through the whole thing. lol It was fun. We played the Pirates version of Life after that, and I totally thought I was going to lose because I was completely broke most of the game, but somehow I ended up winning because I got a lot of Life tiles and upgraded my ship to the Black Pearl. Still surprised I won. lol Then we watched Pop Star (the one starring Aaron Carter) because Tara hadn't seen it and it's a funny/cute movie. ;) A little more TV after that and then it was off to bed. Of course, we didn't actually go to sleep for another hour and a half to two hours because we were talking. lol Good fun!
In the morning I made french toast for the very first time. My mom's always made it in the past, or I get it at a restaurant. Happily, it came out tasting good. :) We watched TV while we ate. Then we did some stuff on the computer and then back to the TV before it was time for her to leave. Honestly, there's not that much to do at my house. lol I had fun though, and I hope Tara did. :) It was nice that she could visit on the way to her sister's house.
The rest of Saturday I was on my own and didn't really know what to do. I was feeling a little down and then I decided to start cleaning my closet. It went pretty good. Found a fair few things I could part with and made space for some other stuff that was just laying around my room before then. I did some more cleaning of it yesterday during the middle of the day, but it still needs some more. Eventually I shall clean my desk again too. lol
Yesterday morning it was up early for church. I was feeling rather down again during most of the service and for a bit while I was home. However, in the evening we went to a comedy show with our favorite comedian and so that considerably cheered me up. Laughter is so good at that. ;) Still working on being completely cheered up, but it's a process. I'm feeling better at least.
Today I helped my mom put together some new patio chairs. That was fun! Really, I mean it, I sort of like that kind of thing. Lots of people hate seeing "some assembly required" on purchases, but I think that's the fun part. :) I put together my bookshelves and my desk on my own. Well, the desk I had to have my dad hold a part, and I asked him to help with putting the glass tops on, but I took care of putting all the other pieces together. :) It's nice to have that feeling of accomplishment. These chairs were a little finicky and a tad annoying, but we conquered! Woo! Anyway, that's what I've been up to.

Now I am ready for Friday and the opening of TMNT. lol Had to make a Turtles layout. ;) I'm excited for Friday, not only because of the movie, but because Tara's coming to visit that day, so we're going to see it together. Exciting! Speaking of movies and exciting... they've FINALLY released a trailer for At World's End which can be viewed here. Looks interesting.
I was really scared earlier today. Yesterday we found kitty vomit on the floor when we got back from church. That happens every once in a while, you know, if the kitties ate something that didn't agree with them. This morning there was more though, and it was almost totally clear and very watery and had me more worried. It became apparent that it must have been Balf because he's behaving like he doesn't feel good whereas Angie seems just fine and is acting normal. So, I decided to google and see if I could figure out what might be wrong, and that led me to info that there has been a large recall of a number of brands' wet cat food. One of the brands is one that the cats had in the past week. I started to get very scared and worried for my kitty because of the stuff I read, but I feel better now becasue I think Balfie's feeling a bit better and I prayed and so now I'm just hoping and praying that he just ate something wrong outside and he'll be okay tomorrow or the next day. Still a little worried, but not as much. Oh, and if you have cats or dogs, you may want to check out the products being recalled here. At least we had pretty much stopped feeding out kitties the brand that's one of the listed ones a while ago, so there were just a few cans left so hopefully it won't affect my cats.
Already a few people have installed and began using TCG Admin on their sites! Wow! I feel super cool/special now. ;) lol Hopefully someone will refer me for hosting soon as well because that would be a big help right now. lol

Yesterday I spent about three hours in a bar. Oh yeah, it's true. I had to show my ID and everything. *nods* Okay, so it was technically a cantina at a mexican restaraunt, I didn't actually get anything alcoholic, and we just ate food and talked... but I still had to show my ID! lol I was actually happy about that because I'm almost 22 and that's the only time so far I've ever been asked for my ID, so it felt kind of cool. lol I know, I'm silly. ;)
I also saw The Astronaut Farmer with my mom yesterday. It was okay. It kind of ticked me off how they wrote this one part, but it ended happily, so it was okay. lol We went to Best Buy afterward and I asked a guy about monitors. I'm still going to try to call HP again and see if I can talk to someone who knows what they're doing and understands what I'm saying and can help me out, but thus far it rather looks like HP just did not design this monitor very well and made it WAY too bright. *sigh* Anyway, the guy tried to plug a Gateway monitor into a computer for me to see the difference, but it decided it didn't want to behave itself and work. lol He tried to help me though, so I was thankful for that. And, sadly, he confirmed what I had already assumed... most people want freakishly bright monitors. *hangs head* Am I alone in not wanting to go BLIND?! lol
Today I didn't really do too much. I went out for a bit and hung with Emily for a while and I watched some TV. Oh yes, and I saved the best for last in that I just launched my scripts site and TCG Admin is now available for download! :D I know, I'm cheeky for not putting that as the very first thing in this entry. ;) Here's the link. Enjoy!

Okay, everyone applaude for me. Why? Because I did a FANTASTIC job injuring myself this morning. lol I am no stranger to rolling my ankle--I think it's due to the flat feet. Anyway, usually it's not too bad, I mean, I'm sort of used to it and all. Well, I outdid myself this morning and rolled it pretty dang bad. No worries, I'm not unable to walk or anything, but now, many hours later, it's still painfully sore and is telling me it's very angry for what I've done. Man, when I do this kind of thing I can just picture in my head my foot rolling to the side and the bottom of my shin bone plunging at the ground. Yeah, it's graphic, I'm sorry, but I'm a writer so I some times have a lovely way of describing things. ;) lol Anyway, a lot of force went into the roll this morning, so I imagine it's going to take a while to start feeling better. Surprisingly, after the initial large amount of pain, it only took a few minutes for it to not hurt so bad. I was at the theatre filling in and running the show this morning and I was sitting most of the time so I didn't notice it too much. Shortly after I got home, however, it started to throb more and it's been steadily doing that all afternoon and now into the evening. *sigh* Why do I do this to myself?
In other news, the books I ordered from Barnes & Noble came today, so that was exciting. :) One of them is a book of short stories which I got mainly for the one story because it takes place in a world of some other books I really like. Sure, they're technically more for the 10-year-old range than the "up" part listed on the book, but they're humorous and good, so who cares! lol Maybe reading it soon will help me get back into my reading as I've not been in too much of a mood to read for the last couple months or so, and I want to get back into that. For fun, of course, but also because I'm once again collecting a rather tall pile of books that I've purchased but not read yet. Oh dear. lol
I also talked to Sam for a while earlier, and that was nice. She got to share in my good mood, which is somewhat odd that I am in one with my ankle hurting, but eh. *shrugs* While chatting with her I continued to work on my scripts site so that I can launch it this weekend. I'm thinking sometime on Saturday, but we'll see how it goes and what I'm doing. Hopefully for sure by Sunday evening. :)
Also, I just went and downloaded a bunch of stills from the upcoming TMNT, and I'm getting really jazzed about the movie. Therefore, do not be surprised if there appears a layout with Turtles on it in the near future. ;)

I still haven't heard back from HP support. I doubt I will. lol I'm just going to have to call them back in a day or two. I'm thinking I'll just see about getting a replacement monitor because I just also noticed (aside from the extreme brightness, even when I've turned the brightness control on the monitor down really low) that one of the little specks of dust is actually a dead pixel. I haven't whacked my monitor or poked it or anything, so I'm guessing it's been there since I got it and I just didn't notice until now. :( Hopefully they'll be nice and exchange it out for me for a new one. I'm going to try and be very insistant on that. Otherwise, well, I'll figure that out if/when it comes to it. lol
I was productive today! And, those of you waiting for TCG Admin will be happy to know that that's what I was productive with. :D I'm hoping to have my scripts site up and that available for download by the end of the weekend or sooner. I still have a few things to do, but all of the major stuff is done minus possible corrections I get from my two beta-testers. ;) Apparently though, I just had to get started on typing out the stuff, and then I was on a role. I'm okay with that. ;)

While most of Friday was good--talked to Ran for a while, saw The Queen (which was okay), watched 3 episodes of Stargate Atlantis--a few hours were not so good. Why, you ask? Because I was on the phone with HP support and they didn't do jack to help me. *rolls eyes* My computer box says that they have "award winning" support, but I'm not seeing it. lol I finally called because I couldn't find anything on my own about how to turn my computer screen down so it'll stop blinding me. I asked the lady how I turn down the backlight because it's too bright. She thought that there was light coming out of the back of my monitor. I'm like, no, the backlight... as in the light inside the monitor that projects outwards so that I can see the screen. In the end, I'm still not sure she had any idea what was wrong. *sigh* And, I was hoping by calling during standard business hours I would get someone I could understand, but I still got someone with an Indian accent. No offence to those people, but it's just agitating that companies are out-sourcing all of their support to India because I can't understand the people half the time when they're talking and that's not really helpful. She didn't have so thick of an accent, but I still had to ask her to repeat things a number of times. She had me do some stuff that crapped up my computer, but luckily System Restore fixed that. *rolls eyes* I knew I shouldn't have listened to her, too. It just didn't sound right, and it wasn't. Oh yeah, and after 2+ hours or however long it was she said they needed to do more research and they'd call me back. She said that they'd never had this problem before. I can't be the only one who thinks this screen is too bright. Or, maybe I was just "lucky" and got a messed up one or something. lol They haven't called back. Haha.
Yesterday I just hung around at home and watched Moulin Rouge and more episodes of Atlantis. I wanted to go to a sneak peak of The Last Mimzy, but Emily was working and I didn't want to drive out to where it was by myself. Oh well. It opens the same day as TMNT, so maybe I'll go see both one right after the other that day. lol Sounds like fun to me! ;)
Today is chilling once again. I'm currently talking to Sam on AIM, but I think she'll have to go soon as it's getting rather late her time. ;) I also watched a couple more episodes of Atlantis with my mom already, and I wouldn't be surprised if we watched a few more later either. ;) We're going to be through with the whole second season before we know it! lol Then we'll have to re-watch all the season 3 episodes we have taped from TV before the new episodes start in April. They were going to start on my birthday, but now they've pushed it back another week. Rawr. They'd just better not push it back any farther! lol
I guess that's it for now. I'm kind of having too many thoughts right now. It's another one of those "attempt to figure out my life" moments occuring today. It started during church, then I forgot about it while doing TCG stuff (lol), and now it's back again. Mostly it's job stuff like if I should get one around here and if so what, or if I should go out on a limb and maybe get hired at Disneyland for a few months or something? I DON'T KNOW!!! AHHH!!! *runs away*

I'm back! I was in California for a week visiting family and going to Disneyland. Woo! This is going to be a long entry, so prepare yourself for it now. ;) Here's what happened each day (as far as I can remember, lol).
Tuesday 2/27:
Surprisingly, I had done most of my packing on Sunday--very early for me--so I actually had free time in the afternoon to get onling and chat shortly with Sam before we had to leave for the airport. We ate dinner there, then got to your gate just before they started boarding, so that was nice--not to have to sit around waiting.
The flight was good with only a little bit of turbulance before we started the descent into Long Beach. Man though, the bathrooms were scary! They were at the very back of the plance and the engine sounds were really loud and stuff in the bathrooms were rattling. I was like, I hope the toilet doesn't get sucked out of the plane while I'm sitting on it! lol Other than that, the flight was good. It was especially nice to have mom to talk to as I usually fly by myself. Dad was there too, of course, but he didn't talk much; he read his magazine instead.
We got our bags and then went to get our rental car after we landed. Thankfully, that all went pretty darn fast and then it didn't take too long to get to my Aunt and Uncle's where we were staying. We talked to them for a little while, and then it was off to bed.
Wednesday 2/8:
I did not get much sleep. Who knows why, really? The reason I finally decided to get up though was because the sun shinin in the room was too bright to sleep and there were too many noises in the housing complex.
We went first to see my dad's mom. That was a little hard for me because it's been a LONG time since I've seen her and I'm not real good with going into nursing homes, etc. God helped me through, and after being there for a bit, it got better. She had lots of smiles to give us, so that was really nice. She can't talk coherently anymore or feed herself, so the smiles are really nice to see.
After that we went to my grandparent's and sat around and talked. My cousin Mike came over for a while too, then left when the rest of us went off to my Uncle David's for dinner. That was really nice and I convinced my cousins Jess and Shay to go to California Adventure with me on Saturday. :)
Thursday 3/1:
I got up before my parents did! I know, shocking. Dang sun coming in the room and noises! lol It was good though because I ended up needing the time to get ready. Mom, dad and I drove to my grandparent's house and picked them up, then headed to the mountains. My Uncle Dennis just guild a house up in Wrightwood, so we went up there for lunch. It'd been a good few years since I'd seen them because they're usually busy when I come down to visit. This time, however, my cousin Daniel got the day off and my Aunt and Uncle wrote my cousin David a note to get out of school early so I got to see them both. :) It was a little hard to carry on a conversation with Daniel because it's been so long, etc., but it was a little easier to chat more with David when he got there. It's funny because Daniel and Jess are closer to my age, but it seemed easier to talk to David and Shay. lol
Anyway, it was realy a nice visit and I got pictures, etc. The only bad thing was on the way out. The stairs had gotten slick while we were inside and my grandma slipped on the first one! She caught the railing, though, and my mom grabbed her, so she probably only got a few bruises, but it was still kind of scary.
After we dropped my grandparents off back at their house, we went to see my dad's mom again and my Aunt Maureen was there. I did better that day and it was another good visit. We came back to our home base after that and ate dinner with our hosts.
Friday 3/2:
Again, I didn't get enough sleep. The sunlight seriously startes coming into the room and wakes me up around a quarter to seven! What the heck?! lol The blinds are closed, too--I just don't understand. Anyway...
Mike came and picked me up and we went to Disneyland. You know the parks are going to be busy when you have to wait in line just to park the car! lol We didn't have to wait too long to get on a tram at least, so that was nice. Once we got up to the gates, we decided to go to DCA (Disney's California Adventure) first because the lines to get in were much shorter than Disneyland. lol It was a little busy, being that it was a Friday, but it still wasn't too bad. We hit all the rides pretty quick (well, all the rides I wanted to go on, anyway), and we also went into the animation building. That place is rad. We went into the Animation Academy first and drew Minnie Mouse. Then, went over to Turtle Talk with Crush (from Finding Nemo), which neither of us had been to yet. We even sat on the floor in front with all of the little kids! lol I HIGHLY recommend that you check that out if you go to DCA! Man, the computer program they had to write for that is AMAZING! You see a video screen with Crush on it and he talks to you and his mouth always moves correctly and at the right times... flippin' amazing, and quite funny to hear the kids' questions and his answers. ;) lol
We took some pictures in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area, went on Tower of Terror, then decided that it was time to go over to Disneyland. I can't remember the order of the rides we went on, but at some point we left the park and walked to Subway for lunch, then went back to Disneyland. lol When we went on Haunted Mansion, I did like I always did and scrame in the elevator (AKA stretching room) when the lights went out because it's fun and part of the whole point... but NO ONE ELSE did. lol That's the first time that's happened. Usually I'm the last one screaming because I have fun seeing how long I can hold it, but that was totally the first time I was all on my own. I cut my scream short and Mike was laughing at me. lol Dang people didn't have the Disney spirit! ;)
Sam had told me to take a picture of Captain Jack Sparrow if I saw him at Disneyland. I told her I didn't think they had him there yet (you know, a cast member dressed as him). But Mike and I were walking past Pirates of the Caribbean and he goes, "look, it's Captain Jack." I'm all like, "WHERE?!" I snapped a quick picture of him as he walked by. He looked pretty darn close to the real thing and even had some of the movements down well. ;)
Mike wasn't much in the Disney spirit during the day either (he's been too many times, he said), but I did manage to get him to pose for a picture sitting on the fire engine in Toon Town (since he really is a fireman). He wasn't happy about it, but too dang bad! lol He did it because he loves me. ;) I love him too, which is why I made him go with me and pose for pictures. Hehe.
I had wanted to stay until the park closed at Midnight, but after the fireworks, Mike and I were both wiped and way too tired. So, even though we had fastpasses for Indiana Jones, we left. lol I was so bummed for the fireworks though! The ones they have now are AMAZING and I thought we'd picked a good place to sit, but boy was I wrong. When they started most of them were hidden behind an obnoxious tree. *sigh* What we did see was still good, but next time I am picking a good spot for sure and I'm going to video the whole thing so I can randomly watch it when I'm at home and feel like it. Seriously, they're that good!
Saturday 3/3:
Even though I didn't have to, I woke up early. It was like a curse, every morning, I swear. Anyway, I got myself ready and we went to the multi-birthday party for my dad's side of the family. We ended up celebrating 5 birthdays, including mine, so I got cash and other gifts about a month early this year. ;) lol I'm okay with that. Only thing is now I'm only going to get a couple cards around my actual birthday. lol Oh well. My cousins and I watched Weird Al music videos on You Tube while we waited for cake and present opening. lol After presents and cake, my mom drove me over to DCA to meet Jess and Shay.
Poor Jess had trouble figuring out the parking system so they were a bit late meeting me. We made it into the park just a bit before the High School Musical Pep Rally started though, and found good seats, so it worked out okay. It was cute, but like some other Disney things there, I'm too old to be allowed to participate. It's terribly cruel, I know, but it's sadly also true. I'm not so bummed about the HSM thing as I am about the Jedi Training Academy (the kids get their own little Jedi robes and battle Darth Vader! So not fair. lol), though. Anyway...
We single ridered Soarin' as our first ride and actually all got to sit together anyway, so that was rad! lol It was about a quarter of the wait time too. I thanked God. :) Grizzly River Run had too long of lines, and getting a fastpass for it would have meant getting wet after the sun went down, so we didn't do that. Surprisingly, it was rather brisk after dark while I was down there. *shakes head* Odd. lol We went on another ride, then to Maliboomer, where Jess decided to be brave and go on it. It's hard for me to understand really being scared for those rides because I love them so, but she was scared, so I'm very proud of her for doing such a good job and making it through. ;) lol
After that, Shay and I went on California Screamin'. It hadn't been running, but they were about to start it up as we walked over there, so we got in line. We ended up only having to wait about ten minutes before we got on, so that was awesome, and Jess didn't have to wait too long for us to be done. ;) Our last ride was the next, since poor Jess had to get home early to work on prep for a group project meeting the next day. Darn school! We went on the carousel. lol Good times!
They left after that and then I was on my own for about two hours before my mom was going to be able to pick me up. Jess was all concerned, but I told her I'd been there on my own before and would be again, so it was no big deal. I don't mind. I mean, it's more fun to go with people, but it's not bad to go on your own. ;) I went to the tortilla factory again (yum!), then watched the Bug's Life show (make sure to sit forward during the yellow jacket attack part or your back might get hurt, lol). After that I went and bought some more pins for my collection. Then, before I knew it, my mom called to say they were almost there. I had a fastpass for Tower of Terror, and luckily had just enough time to go on that. As I was leaving the park, the fireworks were going at Disneyland, so I stopped at watched them for a bit and took some pictures before my parents found me. They had decided to walk in from the parking lot to get me. lol We watched the end, since there was just a few minutes more, and then went to the car where my Aunt and Uncle were waiting for us.
Sunday 3/4:
Guess what... I woke up early again! lol For some reason, I can't remember the first part of the day, but later my mom took me to the Brea mall for a while. That place is HUGE! lol I got a few things and walked around for a bit. After that, my mom, dad and I went to my grandparent's house. We sat around a talked for a while before we were going to leave for dinner. My grandma looked at my mom and was all, "oh, Steven had a mild heart attack." I'm wondering who the heck she's talking about. I mean, I have a cousin named Steven, but he's only 24, so it couldn't be him. But then she said that Michael called earlier to tell them that and I was like, "wait, that's Steven's dad's name." Yeah, she was talking about my cousin. My 24-year-old cousin Steven had a mild heart attack on Friday, and, apparently, after they did a sonogram (or whatever), it showed that that was not his first one. That's all I know right now. I was in shock for a while, and while we were at dinner they were talking about it again with my mom asking if there were any more details and I wanted to cry, but I wasn't going to do it there. He's married and has a little girl, and now his wife is pregnant again. I'm just praying he's going to be okay and take care of himself and it's not something even more serious at work causing these things. If you pray, please pray for Steven.
Monday 3/5:
Mom, dad, Aunt Maureen (my dad's sister), and I went to Disneyland. Right off the bat we rode Space Mountain twice. lol I was sort of disappointed. See, they're doing this special thing right now until about the end of April where they're playing Red Hot Chili Peppers on the ride. That's fine, but they messed with all the lighting inside so there are no stars and you can see the track pretty much the whole time! That is not how Space Mountain is supposed to be Disney people! lol We hit all the major rides during the day and none of the waits were too bad, so that was nice. Mike came and met us for dinner in Downtown Disney, too. Oh, and I was going to try to get my picture taken with Captain Jack, but the line was already closed by the time we walked by and no one else wanted to do that later, so we didn't. lol It was weird getting back to home base around 9:30 PM because the park closed at 8 PM on the weekdays. Weird. I'm not used to being there when it closes before 10 PM. The good thing was that I went to sleep a bit earlier so even though I was going to wake up really early the next morning, I got a bit more sleep than I had been getting. ;) lol
Tuesday 3/6:
Mom and dad dropped me off at Disneyland in the morning. I went into DCA first and pretty much walked on all the rides I wanted to because it wasn't busy at all (sweet!). I went on Grizzly River Run first hoping, as always, to get soaked. I always want to, but hardly ever seem to. Success! lol I got my pants almost totally soaked and my shirt fairly wet too, so much better than the last few times! Woo! And while I was there, I also went to the tortilla factory and on the sourdough tour as well. Gotta love free tasty samples every time through! :D lol
I went over to Disneyland after I was done with the rides I wanted to go on again in DCA. My main mission was to find Captain Jack and get my picture taken with him. That being so, and having been in DCA for the first half of my time there, I only went on three rides. lol I did Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. I kept missing my chance to get in line for the Captain. Grr. I did some more shopping and bought more pins, which I shouldn't have, but couldn't help myself. lol There was this awesome new Pirates one that said "My boyfriend is a pirate." lmao I totally got that one! So yeah, I don't have a boyfriend, but if I did, he'd be a pirate! lol
After much walking back and forth across the park, and it getting close to the time my parents were going to come pick me up, I saw Captain Jack and managed to get in line before it was cut off!!! *dances* So yes, I got my picture taken with the Captain Jack Sparrow look-alike! lol Mission accomplished! Of course, I look like a dork in the picture, but I got it. They did a darn good job casting this guy because along with looking darn close to the real thing, he sounded sort of like him and was doing some of the manerisms quite well. It was a little weird though because when I stood next to him for the picture, I was the same height as him (which seemed odd to me), and I also noticed how fake his mustashe looked up close, but still... darn cool. lol It was funny, I had my RAZR clipped to my belt loop and he grabbed it and looked at it for a second and then just pretended like nothing happened. lol My thought right off the bat was, "is this Disney appropriate?" Hahaha! After that, I had to leave to meet my parents.
We went to my Aunt and Uncles (I have many of them, lol) for dinner and my cousin Don was there. He was doing work stuff most of the time, but at least I got to see him and sort of chat a little. I keep meaning to see his place that he got a few years back, but I never manage to! Next time, next time I really will! I hope. lol Dinner was nice though.
When we got back I was feeling not so good what with all the lack of sleep and my nose and throat going crazy on me. I thought it was just sinuses, but I think it was a little cold since I still sort of have it now. Anyway, I took medicine and then packed up most of my stuff and went to bed.
Wednesday 3/7:
Visited both my dad's mom and my mom's parents in the morning and early afternoon. I tried to call Mike to see if he wanted to do anything, but his phone was off. We went to the airport and I was starting to feel a little better, so that was nice for the plane ride. The bathrooms weren't quite as bad this time either since there weren't things rattling inside of them. lol Oh man, this kid in front and to the diagonal of me was looking through pictures on his laptop (I couldn't help looking), and I was like, "hey, that totally looked like Gibbs!" (from PotC), and it WAS because the next pictures were all of Johnny Depp in partial Capt. Jack costume! I was like, those could not have been from that week because shooting was all done, right? Unless they really are doing a fourth one as was rumored, but still... not fair. ;) lol
We landed okay, got our bags, and went to the car. It's so good to come home after a vacation. It was raining as we were doing that and it was NICE. lol We stopped at the grocery store on the way home for a few things since we'd left the fridge rather bare before we left. The kitties were at the door a minute or two after we got in and I gave them lots of pets. I missed my kitty loves! It was a little funny because they seemed torn between wanting pets and staying inside with us now that we were back home and wanting to go outside after having been locked up in the house for a week. lol Of course, they were fed and taken care of while we were away, but they didn't go outside at all. And hey, I went to bed early. lol
Today:
I got up and felt much better, so I think the mini-cold is almost gone (or so I'm hoping). I called Emily to tell her I was back, but she might want to wait a few days before we got together and she got her gift from Disneyland since I'm still a bit sick. However, I left that on her voice mail and she called me back before listening to it and said she didn't care if I was sick and she'd come by in a while. lol My cell phone rang again a while later and I thought it was her calling me back to say she was on her way over, but it was Ran! She said she put in a BSB CD and it made her think, "I need to call Holly." lol I thought that was funny. ;) We just had a quick chat since she was on her way to work, but hopefully we'll get to talk again soon. Emily beeped in as I was saying by to Ran, so I switched over and Emily said she was on her way.
She was very excited to get her present! I got her this little pirate tiara from Disneyland. lol It was so her. Then we ate mac and cheese and watched Spider-man 2 because she hadn't seen it yet, and it rocks! lol I showed her my pictures from the trip and all the pins I bought, then we watched the very first episode of SG-1 before she left.
Oh yeah, how could I forget to say that Season 2 of Stargate Atlantis also arrived in the mail today!! FINALLY! It took them dang long to release it! lol Mom and I are probably going to start watching through the whole thing tomorrow or something. :) Now, I should be off and getting myself ready for bed. I'm tired. lol Before I go, I will also mention that I got a CD from Disneyland of the actual ride soundtrack to Pirates of the Caribbean with the whole sail through (including dialogue) and everything! It's pretty rad. :) Anyway... goodnight! lol
