Yet again a week before I post. Work, I tell ya. lol It's not that I don't have time once I get home, it's that I usually don't feel like doing anything except for lounging in front of the TV once I get home. lol Staring at a computer screen all day does not make one anxious to go home and get on a computer again. That, and I still need to get a new monitor that's not as bright. This one is friggin' painful.

Anyway... work was extremely slow this week. Monday was fairly busy, but after that, there were only a few requests to each person in the morning and then the rest of the day was spent wasting time. On one of the days I worked maybe an hour total, and another around 20 minutes, and then played a whole lot of Typer Shark and other games on popcap.com. lol On the up side, I think my typing is getting a little faster. :) lol I played normal and got up to level 18 or 19 one of the times, I believe. At least up to level 17 for sure. I mentioned to someone that if they'd have had that game when I was in 6th grade and we had to take a keyboarding class, I would have learned to type correctly and quickly and lot sooner than I actually did. lol

Thursday night I went to the 8 PM showing of At World's End. Man, I thanked God that they had early shows that day because I had planned to go to the midnight show with Emily, but that was before I got the full-time job. The eight o'clock one worked MUCH better with my schedule. Anyway, great movie! I really liked it! There were some parts I would have prefered done a little differently, and a few parts I could definitely have done without, but overall I really liked it. So much, in fact, that on Friday when I got off from work early, I called Emily (who'd gone to the midnight show) and we both decided to see it again! lol The show we were planning on going to was sold out by the time we got to the theatre, so we had to wait a few hours. We went and ate beforehand and got crayons and drew piratey things, and that was fun. But then we still had over an hour wait before the movie started. lol It was worth it yet again though. :)

Other than that I've just been chillin' out at home. I'm so beyond happy that I don't have to work tomorrow since it's a holiday. *dances* I thought maybe I'd go shopping, but there weren't any good deals in the paper today, so I may not. Though, I should go look at monitors again one of these days soon and try to find one I like better. And now I shall go and continue my chat with Sam.

Work's been keeping me busy for yet another week. I have time to blog, it's just that by the time I get home I usually just want to plop down on the couch and stay there until bedtime. lol But, it won't be that way for too much longer. I gave notice that I was quitting on Wednesday. I spent the entire day freaking out over it because it's never fun to do that sort of thing. Finally, I worked up the courage and did it at the end of the day. I said I'd stay for two weeks, as is standard.

On Thursday I went with my manager to a meeting with her manager to "officialize" it. I got a really bad guilt trip from her, and then a speech about work and life like she was my mother or something. I did the nice thing and I just sat through it without saying a word and then thanked her at the end. I told my mom that and she said I should have said "you're not my mother" or something to the lady, but that I probably made the right choice in just letting her go on. Anyway, I told them I was sure about quitting and they asked if I'd stay three weeks instead of two. I said sure; I mean, it's the least I could do for taking the job and quitting so quickly, right? Well, about an hour later I was called down to the lady's office again, this time without my manager coming along as well. I was scared. lmao It was okay though. Apparently the next manager up from her (how many managers are there?! lol) knew someone who'd be a good fit for taking my place, but they wouldn't be done with their current assignment until the beginning of July, so would I stay through the end of June? I was thinking to myself... uuhh.... I don't really want to. Then they said they'd give me a bonus for staying three extra weeks and that along with the eariler guilt trip made me say yes. So, I'll be there a little longer. I don't feel so bad about it though because at least there is an end in sight. And, I feel like that was definitely the right thing for me to to, to quit.

Anyway, nothing else very interesting to write about, and it's past time for me to be going to sleep, so farewell.

I really should be in bed attempting to fall asleep right now, but instead I'm having with with the Plot Machine at the Script Frenzy site. I like this one: Under cover of darkness Zorro buys an unreliable time machine. Hehehe. That could be hilarious, and I Zorro rocks! :D That is not what my screenplay shall be, though. I've already got that figured out and have been busy with notes and pre-writing such as my outline. Then, June 1st I shall write "fade in" and begin the actual script. I'm a little nervous and a little excited. NaNoWriMo proved to be too much for me a few years back when I attempted that, but a screenplay in a month seems far more doable since there is must less in the way of words to write. You still have to come up with a complete story and visualize everything, but you don't have to worry about prose at all. As a matter of fact, you want only the most limited prose in a screenplay as possible. And, do not include shot directions! Directors do not like that. If you must include it, then write in a round-about fashion, and don't do it too many times. :) Anyway... Sam said she'll probably attempt it with me, so that made me excited! If anyone else is attempting it, you can add me as a "friend" if you'd like. My sn is holwrites.

Today I did a lot of work on a new site, which is for family and friends that I've met in person only. Still much to do, but it's coming along. :) My dad and I also took my mom out to lunch for Mother's Day, of course, and that was nice. Yesterday I just watched TV all day. lol First I watched the SG-1 and Atlantis from Friday night (since I was helping at an auction/fundraiser when it was on), then I watched the first Pirates, some regular TV, then the second Pirates. lol Then, when that was over, since my mom was home, she watched the SG-1 and Atlantis episodes, so I watched them again! Wee! lol

The rest of the stuff since my last post was just work. I finally got to start doing my actual job on Wenesday/Thursday. There are still many problems with the setup, but it sort of works and I can at least do my "job" for half the day. lol I'm not sure I really like the job, though. The people on my team are all very nice, so that's good, but now that I'm doing the actual work, I'm not sure about that, plus, I hate the commute. I thought I could handle the driving and traffic, but I'd never really done it before, at least not regularly, and I discovered it's bad. Oh, Friday night was bad, bad, bad traffic. It took me an extra half an hour from the normal, which is still more than it would be during off-peak driving times. *sigh* So, I'm going to see how this next week goes and then take it from there. I've just got to pray for God to lead me, and then listen for His answer.

So today my team and I went to a lunch meeting. Fancy that. I got a free lunch and some time out of the office, so I cannot complain. It still seemed a little silly though as it wasn't even really a meeting of any kind. There was just casual talk of non-work related matters and a sort of get-to-know-you air to the whole thing. I was quite most of the time, as is my way in such things. I mean, if you get me on the right subject, I'll go on and on and my voice will get louder and that's when you can tell I'm being very passionate about what I'm saying, etc., but otherwise I'm generally content just to sit quietly.

After e-mailing back and forth today, Sam and I discovered that we could chat in real time through gmail without having to download anything, which meant that it would work while I'm... at work! lol Yay! It goes so much faster that way. :) She told me about the new BSB song making it onto the 'net, but I couldn't listen to it until I got home. And, when I got here, Tori had wonderfully e-mailed it to me in MP3 format, rather than the icky windows media file I would have had to download. MP3 is so much nicer to my computer. lol It's okay. I mean, I like it all right, but it's not like, "oh my gosh, that's the best song ever!" or anything. *shrugs* At least it's some promise that they really are doing something and it's got acceptable lyrics. Also, it'd be nice if it helped some women wake up and get out of bad situations that there in by listening to the words. I'm still more of an up-beat song person though, so I don't tend to get too excited by ballads anyway... with the exception of a few. ;)

Sadly, I must now be off. I've stayed up too late and have not gotten enough sleep the last few nights and now I'm paying for it with feeling icky and having a headache. At least... I hope that's all it is. One of my co-workers went home early yesterday because he was feeling sick. I took an Airborne last night. I don't want to be sick! Gah! Must get rest and feel good in the morning. lol Nighty night.

Let's see how much I can remember, shall we? I shall up front mention that I worked Monday through Friday, and not mention that anymore and just write about what I did outside of that. lol

Last Saturday my parents and I went down to my Aunt and Uncle's house to visit them and my other Aunt who had drived up from CA to visit them as well. Saturday was a little boring for me. Lots of just sitting around, but I did get on the internet for a little bit and checked some stuff. I slept horribly. I'm guessing it was mostly due to the air matress. I used to never have problems with those things, but apparently my body is more picky now that it's somewhat older. Anyway, my one side ended up hurting pretty badly during the night, which caused much waking. Then I woke up because I was freezing and had to get up and turn on the heater. I should have turned it on before I went to sleep, but it felt okay then and I was just being silly thinking it would stay that temperature through the night. lol Sunday morning we woke early and went to church. It was a little weird. Not like my church, and not my style, but the teaching portion was okay. After, we went to lunch and then to the Lilac Gardens in Woodland. While I took lots of pictures of lilacs, other flowers, and even two different holly trees (yay!), I only ended up with one picture I liked enough to put up at TWO17.net, which is from inside the victorian house. lol Funny. Sadly, the pictures of holly didn't come out very well. :( I shall have to find other holly trees elsewhere and try again!

Monday evening I think was when I got on my computer for a little while. Tuesday and Wednesday I watched TV the whole evening, mostly cake stuff on Food Network since it was "Wedding Week." I just like watching them make the cakes and seeing how amazing they are at it. It's flippin' crazy and I'm never going to try to mess with making my own with fondant again! lol I really mean it this time! I'm just going to enjoy looking at other people's cake art. :) lol Anyway... Thursday night I called down at the theatre just to see if they'd reserve the balcony for me for tonight's show, but then Matt said no one came to the scheduled movie so they were going to do a run-through of Spider-Man 3. Pish! I was so there! I got ready really fast and sped (bad me) down to the theatre in order to miss as little of the beginning as possible. I made it in time for my favorite part at the beginning, too. Peter and Harry are fighting and Peter pulls a bit of web tight and Harry rams into and flies off of his air-board. lol It's just sort of funny, I can't help but laugh. But then like instantly after that, you feel so horrible that you laughed because Harry's almost dead after hitting a bunch of stuff and falling to the ground. Stop confusing me movie people! lmao

Yesterday night was Stargate night! Yay! :D Daniel was a prior!!!! Holy cow! At least he wasn't really a prior. I mean, he looked like one and had the power's, but our same Daniel was still in there and he came back to normal at the end. :) Happy! The Atlantis episode was also fab! Oh Rodney how I heart thee. He became a super-hero. *nods* Yup. The best kind. ;) lol But then he showed that he could be a little more sensitive toward the end, and that was good, too. Oh, how I laughed during that episode though. Hehehe.

Today I talked to Sam on AIM for a few hours, which was very nice. We've been chatting regularly during the week while I'm at work, but that's via e-mail back and forth, which takes a little longer and is just not as convenient as AIM. But yeah, we talked and I modified my photo blog script for her. :) I've had a note written to do that for a while, and now I FINALLY have. lol Then I ate dinner and went down to the theatre to watch Spider-Man 3 again. :D Emily met me there and watched it with me. I really like it. They've definitely got a winning group for these movies. I'm so sad though that I just started to like Harry and then he dies! Poor Harry. Ugh, but I so like that they had his character turn around and become a good man in the end. So good. Anyway, if you haven't seen it, I'm sorry I just wrote that and didn't label it as a spoiler. Go see it!
