Late, late Saturday night--more like early, early Sunday morning--I saw in the TV guide that Troop Beverly Hills was playing, so I stayed up to watch it all. Funny movie, and it'd been a while since I'd seen it. Perhaps it's more funny to me because I was a Girl Scout for a few years when I was little. I think I need to work on my priorities though because currently reading, watching movies, and/or working on websites outway sleep, and that's not really a good thing.

Yesterday morning the phone rang and my immediate thought was, "ugh, who's calling so early?" Then a minute later my dad comes to say that my Grandpa's on the phone and wants to talk to me. Thoughts quickly changed to: "what's wrong? Is everyone okay?" I was starting to get rather worried and then it just turns out that Grandpa was being very considerate and calling us because it was his birthday and he knew we'd try to call later, but he wouldn't be there so he wanted to call so we'd get to talk to him. :) I don't think I was alltogether coherant during the conversation though, so I'll have to appologise next time I talk to him. One of my uncles threw him a surprise birthday party yesterday, so hopefully Grandpa really enjoyed that. We would have liked to go, but we only heard about it a few weeks ago and it's rather expensive to take a last-minute trip down to CA during the holidays.

After church yesterday I worked on converting the pages here for the new site. It actually went a lot faster than I thought it would, which is great since I left it all to the last couple days before the move. Yes, tomorrow when you come here there will be a page letting you know the new URL, so be prepared. :) I'm not sure exactly what time tomorrow though. It could be shortly after midnight tonight, and it could be in the middle of the day tomorrow. Not knowing makes it fun, right?

I took a long break in the middle of my website work to go out to dinner with Emily and some of her other friends to celebrate her birthday (which is actually today). It went pretty nice, though some of the conversation topics were ones I'd rather not hear anything about; I just tried to tune those out. Emily liked all the little presents I gave her though, especially the cute little pirate bear. And speaking of that, I bought a bunch more of the little bears today so I can make them all into pirate bears, too. :D lol

Today was work, which went by fairly quickly. I got to do quite a few last-minute New Years balloons for people, and I found out that my last day will be next Thursday. I know they want me to stay, but I don't like the standing, and while it's an okay job, it's not one I want to stick around for. So now I must find a desk job that's not really far away like the last one was, because I don't like the long drives either. Gah! Am I being too picky?

Toyota is seriously tempting me right now with their zero percent financing on new Matrixes. I'd like a Matrix, but even if I was eligable for that finance rate the payments would still be high and I don't have a job that can allow me to afford that right now, nor do I imagine I will anytime soon. But, my car runs very well still and since my daddy drilled holes in the back for the water to run out of, it hasn't gotten moldy like the last two years. lol So yeah, no new car for me for a while in all likelyhood.

Well, it's the end of '07... the year was pretty good I guess. Nothing amazing happened, but nothing really bad happened either, so that's decidedly good. We lost my dad's mom, but I know she's in Heaven and no longer suffering, so I count that as a blessing, really. I'm just so thankful to God for keeping us all safe and mostly healthy and providing for us always in whatever ways we needed it. I pray for the same in the coming year, and also that I can get my weight under better control and write a TON. May the new year bring blessings to you all, and stay safe tonight! :)

red pirate bear Today, after I got home from work, I made the little pirate bear you see in the picture to your right (click on it for a larger version). Well, I didn't actually make the bear itself--I bought that part--but the black boots, eye patch and hat I made with felt. :D Isn't he cute? Emily's birthday is on Monday and I've gotten her mostly little pirate-related trinkets and so I had the idea to make the bear, and he fits in perfectly. Originally I was just going to go with the eye patch and hat, but then as I was cutting out those pieces with the felt I realized I had quite a bit extra and thought, "hey, I wonder if I can make boots?" See how I even made them so they roll down at the top? *giggles* So cute! I was tempted to keep the little pirate bear for myself, but I can always make another one and for now at least I have pictures. Emily should really like it... or at least I hope she does.

I worked Wednesday, the day after Christmas, but it was pretty quiet, which was just fine with me. I was not all together there, so it was very good there weren't too many people. Then, I had Thursday and Friday (yesterday) off! Thursday I got some "to-do" stuff done, including slicing and coding the layout for my new site. Now I just need to begin converting pages and whatnot. Fun, fun. Yesterday Emily and I went and saw Sweeney Todd. As are most Tim Burton movies, it had a darkening filter applied to the whole thing and was overly gorey with the blood. At least I fully knew that's what I was in for. It was pretty bang on with the stage production I've seen and very well cast. All the actors had lovely voices and it's the first time I've heard Johnny Depp sing and he's quite good. It's a dark movie with a sad ending, but I can't help but laugh at some of the song lyrics. Is that bad? lol

After the movie we went to Barnes and Noble to spend the gift cards that were burning holes in our pockets. Emily had quite a bit more to spend than me, but luckily she now works at another Barnes and Noble and I just gave her my books and gift card and she paid for them, thus getting me her employee discount, which allowed me to get an extra book. :D So, now I have more books to read. And, actually, even more since two of the ones my mom ordered for me for Christmas came in the mail today. Gah! I'm being overwhelmed by books to read, but then again, that's not really a bad thing. ;) Still working on finishing my second read through High King's Tomb, but at least I read some more last night so it's progressing; albeit slowly.

Well, it's getting quite late so I should start doing other things in hopes of not staying up TOO much later than I really ought to. It has not been working the last two days, though.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a great day; mine was lovely. :) I guess I'll start with yesterday first though.

I had to work for a while, but honestly, I didn't feel like we were that busy. Certainly more busy than normal, but nothing like I've experienced at other past jobs, as I mentioned in a previous entry. The weird thing was that working one less hour than my other shifts have been seemed to make all the world of difference in me feeling better by the end of it than normal. Or, perhaps it was just the holiday keeping my spirits high.

After work, it was home where dinner was ready to go and the family was waiting. Kenny came over and is doing much better. He drove himself and is able to stand for longer periods now, etc. After dinner was getting ready and biding time until the nine o'clock service we were attending. Church went very nice and I chatted with some people I hadn't seen/spoken to in quite some time. One of them looked COMPLETELY different than he used to, and the only way I realized who he was was because I was talking to Matt and Brian J. and Brian yelled out his name when he walked over. The other was actually Brian's brother who I've seen at church occasionally when he's been home from school, but have not talked to in some time. He gave me a hug and I was like, "you're like a whole head taller than me!" He's gotta be around 6'5" or something and he's the same age as me and I remember when we were the same height for some time. *sigh* Everyone gets taller, and although I wish to be taller, I must accept my fate to be my current height. Actually, I think I have a few years left to be hopeful that I may grow an inch or so and I would be delighted by that. Anyway, after church we came home and watched our favorite comedian's DVD before Kenny left and the rest of us went to sleep.

We all slept in until almost eleven this morning. I made pancakes for breakfast and watched some of the Stargate SG-1 Christmas marathon on TV while eating. Then it was stockings followed by presents. I made out like a bandit this year. As it was last year, I received more presents than I thought I would and feel spoiled rotten. I mentioned this to my mother and she replied that it must just mean I was really good this year. ;) Haha. Among many smaller items in my stocking, I received the following from my parents:

A Fisher Space Pen (YESS!!!)
Care Bears 2008 calendar
A little journal
Three books (Which are currently in the mail, but mom was creative and printed out pictures of each of their covers and put them in an envelope for me so I'd know they were coming.)
2 Dark Chocolate Oranges (Yummy!)
Stardust on DVD
A PotC tin for storing cute little things in.

And from relatives I received: money/gift cards, some bath stuff, and a cute mini-book entitled The Night Before Cat-Mas. I also got a book with cat pictures and related quotes and a nice calligraphy pen set from Sam. Thanks Sam!

I watched Stardust while the parents went for a hike in the snow! Yes, a Christmas miracle happened today and it started snowing and even stuck after a little while, too! It's a thin blanket, but it's still out there and it was just spectacular to see the snow falling on Christmas. :) Praise be to God!

After the movie I ate my dinner and then talked to Sam for a bit, then my Grandparents and a few cousins. Played on the computer for a while, and then watched The Note on TV, which turned out to be very good despite the first 15 minutes or so which didn't hook me in when I initially saw that much of it a few days ago. And now Christmas is almost over and I must be going to sleep. I hope you all had a very lovely Christmas!

In a recent entry, I wrote that church had given me a gift as appreciation for my monthly volunteering. Today at church, I received a Christmas card with another gift! lol I was like, okay, thanks. Haha. So, I decided to take my gift (Starbucks card) and use it right after church on a tasty hot chocolate. Dad and I also picked up sandwiches for us all, and then we came home to eat them. I sit down at the table with my drink and go to each my sandwich when lo and behold I find a clear plastic glove in my sandwich. Ew. How did it get in there? How would the maker of the sandwich not notice? And how was it all knotted up as well? These are the questions the plague me. lmao I pulled it out and still ate the sandwich though, which surprised both myself and my parents. I was hungry. I saved the glove though to take back and show them, which I did around dinner time and I got a free sandwich.

After lunch I relaxed for a bit and then went off to see I Am Legend with a friend. Interesting movie. On the one hand, they did a very good job giving us a sense of the character and his plight without the inner dialogue that would make it much easier in book form. Will Smith, as usual, also did a fine job. I guess you could say I liked it alright, but my one burning question was never answered--beware spoilers ahead. So the virus infected people are more bestial--feral--and Smith's character makes a note in a recording that they seem to have lost all human social behaviors. However, after he snares a young infected female, and older male (whom I presume to be the girl's father) exposes himself to sunlight thus burning himself quite badly, then rigs a snare to catch Smith, then leads a whole host of infected in an attack on Smith in his home. That would suggest that they are still intelligent and have more human social interaction if they have a leader and they are going after one of their own. This is never resolved at the end. Perhaps it is explained in the book, and perhaps no one else who's watched the movie even noticed or is bothered by it as I am, but I'd really have liked some resolution that Smith was wrong in his observation or that they retain certain residuals of their former behaviors in such instances. I must say that the opening scene of deer hunting in a Mustang is a novel idea though. Not that I'd ever want to go deer hunting, but I found it amusing. ;)

If I don't post again before Tuesday, I hope you all have a very lovely Christmas!

Pretty much as soon as I finish this I need to go to sleep. Haven't gotten enough the last few nights and must therefore attept to get more this evening since I must again wake up early tomorrow. *sigh* Let's see... Monday evening I did actually read some! And I think I may have a little on Tuesday as well. Tuesday was also work. Wednesday was work, and Thursday was work. Exciting fun, but whatcha gonna do, eh?

Friday (aka yesterday) I went and watched National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Originally I wasn't planning on going to see it, but since I didn't have to pay and I had the day off, I figured what the hey! I actually liked it. Not like fabulous amazing or anything, but I thought it was a fun little adventure and I will probably go and watch it again while we have it. There is also a lovely new Goofy cartoon at the beginning of the film which I found highly amusing. Oh, and probably my favorite part was the trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian! :D I found it the night before online and then I got to see it on the nice, pretty big screen as it should be. I'm EXTREMELY excited for that movie and no one else I know is even remotely thrilled. :( What gives?

Last night I also worked on getting the layout finished for the new location of this site. I had originally made the layout for a different domain entirely, but it never got used, so I modified it to go with the new one. However, the original version was going to use an iframe and I only once had my blog appearing in a frame and disliked it entirely--blogs were meant for table layouts. *nods* Anyway, that means that last night I took the background and extended it and made a seamless pattern so that it will continue down the page for however far the typing goes. That took about two or three hours. I could have made the pattern faster if I didn't care what it looked like, but I wanted it to be nice and for no one but me to know where the seams originally went. ;)

This morning it was early to rise and off to work once more. It was probably the busiest since I started working there, but honestly, I didn't feel like it was that busy. *shrugs* Maybe it's the fast food experiences I had and perhaps the huge lines for sell-out shows on occasion at the theatre that made it not seem so bad. Or, perhaps it also has something to do with my not hardly being at the register at all today. Much of the time I wasn't even in eyesight of that area, so perhaps I missed seeing half the people that came in, but all the same I don't think it was that busy. I was certainly glad when my shift was up though! I felt terrible for a few hours toward the end of my shift and after I got home. Some food, a little asprin and an glass of airborne later and I'm feeling more like normal, aside from being tired. Time for sleep!

So, have you ever noticed how lots of tiny purchases make a big dollar amount in the end? Yeah, it's true: they do. Wasn't banking on my credit card bill turning out so large. Curse my eating out! I don't know, I just don't bring stuff for food to work with me, and I really should because then I wouldn't be spending all of the money I'm earning there. *rolls eyes at self* Gah!

In other news, I hosted a shindig last night and it had a pretty darn good turn out. It was through church for college age people and I was thinking that if four or five people came, that'd be amazing. Well, fourteen people came! It's a miracle! lol We played games and chatted the whole time and I discovered Apples to Apples, which I had never played before. My chocolate peanut butter balls were a big hit, too. It was a lot of fun, and surprisingly not too bad of a cleanup afterward either. Haha. Heidi and her husband even came, so I got to chat with her some and that was really nice. And it was nice to chat with other people who came, too. :)

Today I went and watched Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. I'm glad I didn't have to pay to see it, but that being said, it still had a fair few marits to its credit and was good, just not spectacular or anything. Lots of good morals and stuff about believing in yourself... even made me cry a little at one point.

I haven't read at all in days--possibly a week or more! It makes me sad, and who knows when I'll finish the second read of High King's Tomb, let alone start Captain's Fury. *sigh* Some time after New Years, I'm guessing. Most of my free time until then will probably be watching holiday movies and working on the coming move I've got planned for this blog (to a new URL). I want to have that ready to go on January first, but I haven't even quite finished the Photoshop stuff, so we'll see how that goes. Now, well, I might read, actually. I think I have time and I don't think there's anything else for me to do, save going to sleep early, which isn't very likely.

No Pirates marathon today after all. :( Emily ended up spending the day with her grandparents instead, which is a good excuse for bailing on me. I survived. lol I had hoped mom and I were going to a movie today, but that didn't end up working out either. At least I did get some Christmas presents for my dad taken care of, so that was really good, and I also made one of the treats for my event on Sunday. I got my grandma's recipe for chocolate peanut butter balls from my cousin the other day, so today I went to work making them. Wow, it makes a lot. lol My mixing bowl wasn't quite big enough for all the stuff, but it worked anyway. Melting the chocolate and wax together was interesting though. You're supposed to use a double boiler, but we don't have one, so we made one with a regular sauce pan and a bent pie tin. My mom's a genius. :D It worked great for the melting, it was just rather fun to get the consistency right and took a little trying. I ended up having to use more wax than was called for since the chocolate was too thick for dipping the peanut butter balls in, but then again, "3 inch piece of paraffin" isn't exactly helpful seeing as how the different brands of wax probably make the pieces in different sizes. At least now I know that next time I'll just have to eyeball it. ;) They came out pretty good though. Mom, dad, and I all concluded that one's limit must be two of those things as they're rather heavy on the stomach. Haha.

Oh, and I also got a chocolate fondue fountain today! :D My bank gives gifts for new customers, so when I signed up I got this really lame digital camera that wasn't worth a thing and never even took it out of the box. They told me when I got it that I could probably exchange it for one of the other gifts coming up if I wanted. Now, it's been quite some time since then, so I wasn't sure if they'd go for the exchange, but since it was a chocolate fondue fountain, I had to try! So I went in and asked and they were real funny about it since they all know me. I guess they're kind of not supposed to do the exchange so one of the ladies goes, "Well, the camera's broken, right," while nodding her head. So I pause for a moment and then go, "sure." *shrugs* lmao So, they took the camera and let me grab a fondue fountain. Wee! Now I'll have to throw a chocolate fondue party in the coming weeks. ;) Pretzles in chocolate are the BEST!

Why does the Official Stargate Convention have to cost so much money? It's over the weekend of my birthday this year, and as in the past years, I would love to go. While I would be willing to drop that kind of cash to go (SET TOURS!!!!), I don't know anyone else that would want to go and have the money and want to spend it on such a thing. *sigh* And that's not the kind of thing I want to go to by myself... it just wouldn't be as much fun that way, and I'd rather not go out of country on my own, even if it is right next door to my state. Oh yeah, and now you have to have a passport to go to Canada (stupid, if you ask me), so that would add to the cost as well. Then there's hotel and gas money... looking at about $1000 per person for the whole event. *lets forehead fall to desk* Maybe I'll win the lotto... but first I'd have to buy a ticket. Heh.

Monday was work (and my daddy's birthday... happy birthday daddy!). Tuesday also work. And today... not just work, but work with the district manager present almost my entire shift. She's not a bad person or anything, but she can be rather annoying. She wants everything re-organized and she tells us to get more product out, but we can't do that if we're re-organizing, etc. Gah. It's possible she might be there tomorrow as well, but I hope not because tomorrow I'm also working with the store manager and the two of them put together would make my day seem even longer than today did. But, I'm surviving and really must stop griping.

My copy of At World's End finally came today! :D So, even though Emily and I are planning a complete Pirates marathon on Friday, I watched it this evening. lol I'm sure I'll be ready to watch it again on Friday. After all, I only saw it twice in theatres, which is scary weird for me--it's usually at least four or five times, but it just didn't work out for some reason. I've also got the next book in Jim Butcher's The Codex Alera series to read, but I haven't finished my second read-through of High King's Tomb yet, so I can't start the other one. I've not been dividing up my free time very well, I don't think. Perhaps I shall go and read now though. I should probably just go to sleep, but a chapter or two wouldn't hurt, right?

It snowed again today. It was even sticking, but when I next looked outside a few hours later, it was all gone. Bummer. It was pretty though. Let's see... this morning we all got up pretty early so we could go to breakfast before our guests were returning home: one via plane and the other car. I got pancakes, which were decent, but not as tasty as I might have hoped for. Should have gotten hashbrowns. Anyway, went to church after that, and then came home where I noticed the History Channel was playing two Titanic shows back to back. The first I only caught the end of, but I had seen it before. The second was sort of a "part 2" to the first, which I hadn't yet seen, so I spent two hours watching that. Learned some new things that I had no idea of before. The main thing was the expansion joints the ship had, as well as the Olympic and Britannic. I never knew they used to do that, and had never thought about the relationship of such a large vessel to ocean waves. It makes so much sense when you watch the show and the have the graphics. lol So that was really kind of cool. When that was over, there was this show about supposed hybrid k-9's in Maine and Minnesota, which I ended up watching all of because I somehow got sucked into it. lol This lady swore she'd taken pictures of some non-dog beast, but they sent off samples for DNA testing and it was just a dog, which is what it looked like. She's all, "I've never seen anything like that in my life," and I'm looking at the pictures going, "It looks like a regular dog to me." *shrugs* It was somewhat amusing. Just hope I don't have nightmares about some weird creature in the night from it. lol

Thursday I managed to get off of work a little early so that company wouldn't have to be bored and alone all day, but it turned out my dad had gotten off of work really early and they left just before I got home. Oh well, not going to complain about getting off early. :D lol

Friday my Aunt Chris came up and we all drove out to see Kenny and picked up some dinner on the way. He seems to be slowly recovering. We got to see all of the pictures from his trip, many of which I wish I hadn't seen such as the pictures of his back covered in chicken pox and rather lude pictures he claims were taken by the friends he met over there when they borrowed his camera. Ew. Really didn't need to see any of that, and was not forewarned about any of it either. We stayed much longer than I had hoped and there went my entire evening. *sigh* Oh well.

Yesterday I went to work and while I was on my lunch break I got a message from someone who used to go to my church, but had moved a ways away inviting me to her birthday party that night. So, after work I filled up some balloons for her and went. It was just dinner and it wasn't that fab because there were a lot of people I didn't know there and I didn't really get to talk to the birthday girl much. Oh well. Left not long after eating and went to visit Emily for a few minutes since the place was in the shopping center where she works. Then I came home, got a few things done, and went to sleep. And that's what's been going on the last few days. Not much planned for tonight; just going to relax and watch a movie premiering on TV, etc. :)

Monday I went with my mom to a luncheon in honor of volunteer drivers (which my mom is). There were mostly people over 50 there, so I didn't really have anyone to talk to, but the food was okay, and I didn't want mom to have to go alone. lol Also got a few goodies, so that was fun, and mom won a prize basket in the raffle! WOO! It's actually not that exciting, but it's always fun to win something, you know? We also did some shopping and got food while we were out. Gotta love mommy/daughter time. :D

Tuesday was pretty eventful. Kenny and our cousin came back then, so that was a big relief for everyone. I haven't seen him at all, but my dad visited this evening and said he seems a little better, which I'm guessing is probably just from being home and having people to take care of him who speak the same language, mostly. I was working when they got back. Oh, joy work... will write more about that momentarily. Also that day, I got something I ordered off of eBay from a seller in Australia. For ages I have been looking for the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way" the Remixes single. Only so many copies were made, and I think only released down under. I had stopped looking for a very long time, but thought about it the other day and low and behold, someone was selling a used one on eBay! It came and I was a little scared it wouldn't play because it's pretty scratched, but happy day, it doesn't skip at all! It was even very reasonably priced. Little bitty gift from God. :)

Today was work again. When I got there yesterday, they were interviewing someone for a position, so I was hopeful that they would hire the lady and I could have less hours. Apparently, the lady decided to take another job. Waah! I want them to hire someone else. They're giving me more hours than I wanted and than I was told I would get. Plus, my feet are in a lot of pain from having to stand for six hours straight each time. Part of it's my fault in that I didn't think it would be that bad, but should have known my feet just wouldn't be able to handle it. The other part is that, after the first few days, I told my boss my feet were hurting a lot and asked for shorter shifts or not to work more than two days in a row. The next two weeks have four days in a row, as did last week. The only reason I didn't this week is because I asked for Monday off to go to the luncheon with my mom. *sigh* I'm going to talk to my boss tomorrow and see what can be done. She told me when I first started that she was hoping to hire two more people, but has not yet. It's otherwise an okay place to work, but my feet, and also now portions of my legs, are becoming severely unhappy with me. After this, I will definitely have to go with desk jobs from now on. No biggie there at least. At least this is just a seasonal job, but with how my feet have been hurting the past few days (even the ones I had off), I wonder if I'll even make it that long. I'm guessing a lot of people think I'm exagerating because they don't understand what flat feet are. Also, I've had so much foot pain over the years that a lot of times I won't even mention if they're hurting or will downplay it just because I figure people are sick of hearing it/wouldn't care anyway. I don't want tons of sympathy for it, just for people to understand that it is painful (thankfully a lot less now than when I was younger at least) and I am limited by it. I am just so thankful for my flat feet and Osgood-Schlatter affected knees, though. I can still walk and do most normal activities, and I don't have any scary diseases like cancer or anything. Praise God for my feet and knees and lack of other issues, I say! lol

Snow day! Wahoo! After I posted yesterday, it kept snowing... all through the night, in fact! We've got almost exactly a foot of snow (though it's starting to rain some now) blanketing everything. And, guess what... I didn't have to work! :D Praise God! I had trouble getting a hold of my manager this morning and my parents were about to drive me to work when I finally got through and she told me we were officially closed. She said I could come work if I wanted to and I was thinking, "NOOOOOO!!!!" But then she went on mentioning how I have a small car and I'd probably get stuck in the parking lot since other people were, etc., so that got me out of it. No need to mention we also have an all wheel drive vehicle... right? ;) Anyway, then I got to go to church, which later made me remark, "See, God wanted me to go to church today, not to have to work during that time." *nods* Haha. Probably not all for that, but I'm sure God was happy my parents and I went to service. There were not many people there, though, which turned out to be really good since our Pastor called me up onto the stage during the message. I was sitting there, and just before he said anything to make an indication that he might, I thought about it, and then he did. lol I volunteer at least one Sunday a month and sometimes they call people up to be recognized and give you a little gift, so that's what he called me up for today. I got a book (Christian, of course) and a $5 gift card to Starbucks, which I shall use for hot chocolates in the days to come. :) I told my mom and the Pastor afterward that it was good he called me up today and not a day when the sanctuary was full because I don't do well with that. Haha.

After church, the parents and I made it to a mexican restaraunt for lunch. We also got news that my dad's niece had made it to where Kenny's staying in Milan just fine and they were going to go get some food as well. Kenny wasn't able to eat much, but at least he ate some and now there's someone there who can make sure he eats at least a little bit on a regular basis. Since he's had hardly anything for over a week, his stomach can't handle much at one time, but hopefully he can get a tiny bit in every few hours or so. They're going to try to get a flight to London, and then back here as soon as possible, so hopefully that will all go smoothly. So good news on that front. Did hear some sad news after church today that Ben--who I used to work with and went to our church--is in the hospital in serious condition. They're doing a lot of tests on him to try and figure out exactly what's going on, but apparently it's to do with his brain and there's a possibility there could be a tumor there. Scary, scary. So Ben could use a lot of prayer, too.

Now that I have today off--big YAY again for that--I shall probably read a good deal, and perhaps watch some more Zorro episodes as well. I finished the second of five discs last night, which means I think I'll be on episode 17 when next I watch more. Zorro is an awesome TV show. I believe there were two seasons of it, so I hope they release the second season on DVD soon so that I can get that one as well. Now, I shall be off to read.

I think it's rather fitting that we've received our first real snow of the season on the 1st of December. Lovely timing. :) Most of my work day it was just overcast and I figured we wouldn't get snow, or if we did it'd be hardly anything and wouldn't stick. Little flurries started to come down, and then more and more and before I knew it, I looked out the windows again and it was covering the ground rather nicely. I think we've got around an inch at our house, and I don't think we'll get too much more than that. It's a little sad because if it had snowed enough, I wouldn't be able to go to work tomorrow! Probably won't be bad enough to get me out of that though. Shucks. ;)
