All right, lots to post about so let's hope that I can remember it all as I go along. ;) lol Today I babysat in the morning and I'll be doing the same thing tomorrow morning. I have to get up before eight o'clock. Blarg. lol And last night, we'll I didn't exactly go to sleep very early. ;) lol But I'll get to that after I finish about today. Hehe. After I got home from babysitting, I ate and rested for a bit and then my mom and I went over to the new house and I got to start painting my room! :D WOO! Don't ask me why, but I get the greatest joy out of painting my own room. lol I did that with the one I'm in right now and it was lots of fun so now I'm doing it with my new room. Oh my gosh, it's going to look so freakin' rad, I tell you! lol I started with the yellow color today. I got all the walls that will be yellow done and in a few days I'll go do the ceiling yellow and then do a second coat for the walls and work on the corners. That's the only sucky part about painting... the corners. lol But that was fun except that I kept spilling paint(arg) and we discovered someone stole some stuff from the garage at the new house. :( They took the air compresser and the shop vac and we think they took a few other things maybe too. How mean. :( Maybe God will have them bring it back. That's what I'm hoping for. :)
Let's see... yesterday mom and I got up and went over to the new house to do a bit of clean-up stuff and then we headed out for our errands. We went to pick out a new countertop pattern for the kitchen because mom changed her mind. The new one should be cool. :) And then we went to Wal*Mart and they had The Two Towers for only $15 on DVD and I couldn't rightly pass that up, could I? ;) lol So I got that. Then we drove to an archery store that I called and they said they had 35 lb. recurve bows for a decent price, but we got there and they didn't. And then come to find out the type of bow I want(which is pretty basic) is going to be $115. *sigh* I don't know if I'll be able to get it for a while then. It was supposed to be a grad parents from my parents, but that's way expensive so I'll have to at least pay for part of it and well, don't really have money right now. lol And then, of course, like with all the other archery stores I've gone to, the owners looked at me like I had no idea what I was doing asking for a 35 lb. bow. See, that's pretty heavy for a girl. Most girls shoot at 20 or 25 and a lot of guys can only pull a 30. I just have some spiffed up back muscles. ;) lol Anyhoo, we got home and I watched The Two Towers and played on the 'net and then went to bed.
Can I remember what happened on Monday now? Humm... *thinks for a few minutes* All I can remember is that I went to work and then mom watched Freaky Friday with me 'cause she hadn't seen it yet and she works at the theatre too so we both get in for free. :D lol I can't seem to recall what I did earlier in the day. Oh well.
For the rest of the night, I don't really have much planned. I'm just going to go get a snack in a bit and then I'm going to work some on streeted.net because I have to now that Tamanna went and made a fanlisting for streeted.net. lol Can you believe that? I was rather surprised. lol Especially since I've had it on hiatus for so long and it still is right now. lol I feel special though. ;) Hehe. Anyway, off I go to busy myself with things and then it might be good if I tried to go to bed at a decent time in order to get up for babysitting in the morning. lol G'night!

Friday was Howie's birthday so... HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY HOWIE! :D
I felt too lazy to post yesterday or Friday. lol Now let's see if I can remember things. ;) lol Let's see, Friday we had two people come see the house and someone put in an offer! :D *dances around* Our house has only been on the market for like 13 days too! lol So, the guy's coming by today to look around again and then if the deal closes, we'll have gotten ourselves a buyer! We don't have to be out of the house until mid-October though, that's part of our side of the agreement so that we can just move everything from this house to our new one. So yeah, that's exciting I guess. :)
Friday night I stayed up late talking to people and working on a layout for shininstar.net that I put up yesterday after I got back from helping mom at the new house. I got to start painting the outside trim... joy. lol I have to do a second coat of the white though, blarg. Anyway, that went dandy and then I went to work. I brought a box of Cheese-Its with me 'cause I hadn't eaten since early in the morning and my tummy was not happy about that. The guys ate a lot of it, but I was prepared for that. lol I was sort of in an odd mood after work last night. Sort of depressed and sad and whatnot. No biggie. Happens to most everyone every once in a while right? :)
Today I was up bright and early in the morning for church. I ran the computer for projecting the song lyrics and whatnot like I do once every month, but this month someone else was taking over setting things up for the regular person and everything was all messed up. They give me this little sheet that tells me what verse follows what and when they're going to repeat the chorus and whatnot and it was all screwed up so it's good that most everyone in our church knows all the songs by heart anyway 'cause I had some fun with the words. ;) lol
I work again today. I'm glad of it because this means I'll actually get a decent paycheck for once and well, I could definately use some more money right now since the funds are starting to get rather low in my checkbook. lol That's what happens when you go on vacation and don't work for a while and then decide to take Russian and you know, lovely other stuff. lol No worries though, I'll bounce back! :D Haha! All right, off I go to do something. I'm feeling rather creative today so we'll see what happens provided I've got enough time to mess around with things. Maybe I'll be good and launch some fanlistings. Oh, and real quick, that reminds me that I launched the fanlisting for Cinderella(1965) the other day so yeah... go join if you like that movie. :) Off I go, ta ta!

Tonight was the comedy showcase with Don Friesen. lol He's so funny. He did a lot of the stuff from his show last year as well as some new stuff that was pretty funny too. lol And guess what... I got to give him a Diet Coke. lmao I know, pretty cool eh? ;) Hehehe. See, I'm funny too. lmao Anyway, I "closed" with Ben. Although, all I did was help to put up the seats in the theatre and pick up the large pieces of trash and then he said he was fine with everything else and didn't need my help so I left. lol And there were still a bunch of people there talking a whatnot. Ben got Don to sign this BIG poster they got printed for the show and it's going up in a special place in the office or something. lol A special little spot just for Don. ;) lol So yeah, that was good fun. The guy before him was all right too. A lot of his stuff I didn't think was funny, but there were a few things that were really funny so it all sort of balanced out I guess.
I didn't do much else today. I spent a lot of time earlier posting over at the Streeted Forums and just a bit ago I hit 500 posts exactly! WOO! lol Are you all proud of me? I know that Kriss is. ;) lol Oh, and I was also good today and did some data entry work for my paid website gig. I'm hoping to get out of a bunch of it and get him and his wife to help me enter stuff because there's a LOT and I really don't like doing it. lol
Yesterday I had work in the evening, but before that I went and helped out with taping off stuff at the new house for painting the outside. We're going to be starting on the inside stuff sometime this coming week so I'll be over there a lot working on that. lol I like that sort of painting though. lol I must be crazy or something. ;) lol Oh, and yesterday I opened up two new fanlistings! I present to you all the Felix The Cat fanlisting and the Zorro fanlisting! WOO! lol And I've been approved for two new ones as well. ;) lmao I'd say I'm just a bit addicted or something anyway. Heh.
All right, well I'm off now to continue my chat with Kriss and work on my other fanlistings that need to go up. I think I might put up two tonight or tomorrow morning. Hopefully anyway. ;) lol Wish me luck on those. All right, I'm off! Ta ta!

Well, like I said in my post yesterday, I had to be out of the house for a while this morning so that brokers could come check out our house and everything. I guess it went well. They all said that the house looked really good and was priced right so that's good. :) lol Now hopefully they'll bring some prospective buyers by sometime soon. ;) lol So while I had to be gone I went and drove around for a bit before Open Range started. It was a good movie, but I think it was a little slow for me. Or just that it was lacking in major action some times. But it was still good. :)
Then I came home and chilled pretty much. lol I worked on some fanlistings though so that was good. Two of them will be going up tomorrow for you all to see and join! YAY! lol And it'll be a surprise as to what ones they'll be. Well, this is a boring post so I'll just go now. ;)

I went and saw Tomb Raider II tonight. It was pretty good. I don't know, I was a little dissapointed with what they made the cradle of life to be and some other stuff. All the beginning stuff was rad though. lol It was just some of the stuff near the end that I was all like... right. lol I have to extricate myself from the house tomorrow morning because there's this brokers open thing or whatever so a bunch of real estate peeps are going to come look through our house and then hopefully tell their clients about it. :) So, I thought I'd take myself to go see Open Range, but the problem is it doesn't start until a fair amount after I need to leave the house so I don't know what I'll do with myself till then. Who knows... maybe I'll look for a job. lmao I said maybe. ;)
My mom and I went to pick out paint colors for the interior of the new house today. :D I got a yellow called cheers and a sort of berry wine/purple color called fushia berry. I'm doing two walls one color and two the other and the ceiling the yellow. And the carpet is teal. lol My mom thinks I'm crazy, but I can see it in my head and the whole thing looks cool! lol And then we also went and got my Care Bears comforter 'cause they finally had another in stock. Good thing I called and put it on hold before we left the house 'cause it was the only twin sized one they had. lol I also got another pillow case since the sheet package only came with one and I need two. Too bad they don't have giant ones so my body pillow could have one too. ;) lol
After that we went by the store and got lovely food items and came home where I proceeded to make hamburger noodle bake. Yuumm. Andrea came over and had dinner with me while we watched some TV. Then fifty million people called on the phone! lol Okay, so it was just three, but they all called one right after the other and talked for a while. Sorry Ani. Anyway, then Ani left and I went to go see the movie. All righty, gotta get up in the morning and vaccuum the house before I go so I'd best get myself to sleep now. TTFN!

It's official. I just shelled out a hundred and thirty dollars to take Russian 1 this fall. Or well, it's almost official anyway. I guess you know, if they don't get enough people to sign up they don't have the class, but I'm hoping it won't come to that. Wee! I'm excited! Now I just need to figure out which book to get. The problem is that all they gave me was the title of it and not the author and there's a few books by different people with the same title! lol Oy! Anyway, I'm excited. I've already got plans to make a blog in Russian once I learn enough! That'd be fun. :)
Ani's coming over later. She's going to watch the new Disney Channel movie with me and we're going to eat cookies and stuff. lol Fun, fun, fun! Humm... there's really nothing else to post just now. I haven't done too much today. Oh wait, I did make the layout for the Zorro fanlisting so perhaps I'll get that up in a bit or tomorrow or something. Not sure 'cause tomorrow I've gotta go help my mom with painting stuff at the new house. Wee haw. lol I get to tape up windows and patch nail holes. Ah, it's not really too bad though. Anyway, off I go. Gotta see if I can motivate myself to do more productive things. Ta ta!

Today I woke up just after nine and milled about for a bit before deciding to watch Catch Me If You Can. That movie rocks. lol After that, lucky me, I got to get started on my chores! I had to scrub out the cat litter box, take all the stickers and posters and stuff off the front of my door, clean some of the stuff on the stove, and then take some pictures of the house for my mom. They were going to be used for the flyer, but I don't know for sure if they are any more or not because our real estate guy's being kinda strange right now. We had another person come look at the house today so that was good at least. :) Don't know if they're interested or not though and I was at work when they came.
Work was rather boring. I work Saturday for this special private event we're doing that I don't know anything about. lol That'll be interesting. At least it's some extra hours though because I'll be there for a while longer than I normally would so that'll be nice. Speaking of work and hours, I still haven't called back Sanrio. I'll have to try and remind myself tomorrow. At least soon I should get money for this website gig. I think after that's done I won't take anymore though because I always end up disliking it. I've got another idea for web stuff and making a bit of money in mind though so we'll see if that works or not when I get time to put it together.
All right, and now for some questions that I got in my inbox while I was away on vacation.
Can u make me a wallpaper? its ok if u don't. There's no harm in asking =)
There is no harm in asking, but for future referance, that's something you should send me an e-mail about rather than using the ask box so that I can reply! lol So, send me an e-mail and tell me what you want for a wallpaper and I'll consider it. :)
Where would i go if i want to become a singer?
Well, I can't for the life of me figure out why someone would ask me this, but I'll tell you what I know. Your best bet would be to find a small recording studio in your area and record a demo. You know, provided you know you can sing and you've got a cover or an original song ready to go. Then you're gonna want to send copies of that to every record label you can. Jive, Virgin, RCA, etc., etc. As for other things, get yourself out there. Do talent shows, make yourself a website or get someone to make one for you. There's also some websites(I don't know the URLs) that list unsigned artists and have a song or two people can download and that's certainly good exposure. I'm sure there's more comments floating around somewhere in my brain, but currently I cannot find them. lol
Do I have to cry for you?
lol Humm... you know, I'm not sure. All depends I guess. lmao ;) Probably not though.
Got a picture?
I've got lots of pictures. I assume you mean one of me. I do, but no one gets to see and they're not going online, that's for sure. I've got pictures of celebs and landscapes though if you want! lmao
Wow, this is weird. I don't even need to go looking for a job! lol I just got a call and another job offer, this time from my church. They need someone to help with babysitting for the women's Bible studies on Friday mornings for about eight months and they'll pay me to help. I've got to think about this one though because I don't know if I could handle way younger kids. I could pick to work with the 3-5 year olds and that wouldn't be too bad. It's funny though because they thought I'd be a good person and all. lol That sort of makes me feel nice though. I think it'll need prayers and lots of talking with my parents before I can decide. And while I was in Cali, my Uncle tried to get me to make a website for him which I might still end up doing if his friend's not going to do it. lol And the guy I'm making a site for right now has a friend he's already sort of referred to me and then our realator was talking to my mom about possibly hiring me to take pictures of houses he sells. Is that freaky to anyone else or is it just me? lol I don't think I'll take the website jobs though and I don't know about everything else. I'd probably do a site for my Uncle, but yet again, I just don't know. I'm still trying to figure all sorts of things out. Anyway, off I go now to get myself busy with things. TTFN!
<--- Lookit that! lol I just uploaded all of my digital cam pictures from my trip down in Cali and that included all the pretty Aaron pics from his concert. Can you believe how awesome that looks? I can't! lol And that's without any tamporing in Photoshop or anything. And there's some that are better too. Mind you, many of them are crapped up in some way or another since it was a digital camera and sometimes on autofocus it's hard for it to pick the right thing to focus on and whatnot. But even so, there's enough really good ones to make up for the ones that are so messed up they'll be deleted and the ones that aren't quite so good of quality. Also, I'd like to point out that those pictures relied a lot on zoom and I wasn't quite that close. lol Close, but not THAT close. ;) I almost sort of feel bad though because you weren't exactly supposed to bring in digital cameras. But they didn't check my purse or anything so I sort of figured they didn't really care. Hope Aaron doesn't hate me though. There's a few pics where he's looking RIGHT at the camera and I hope it's a good look and not a bad one, you know? lol Anyway, that's all I've got the time or energy to put up for now so you'll all have to hold out for the rest... if anyone's even really interested.
So, I got home today. The flight was fine although the landing was a little interesting. I lived and we were all safe and okay though so no biggie. ;) Mommy picked me up and we went to Wal*Mart and I got Catch Me If You Can on DVD and the soundtrack to the new Freaky Friday. I saw that movie yesterday(Wednesday since it's technically Thursday now, lol) with Jessica and Shaylee. It was pretty good and I liked the songs so I bought the soundtrack. :) My mom and I went for pizza after Wal*Mart and then stopped at a few other places on the way home. Oh, and for my bed at the new house I get new sheets and a comforter that will all actually match and guess what I'm getting... Care Bears!!! lol I got the sheets and pillowcase today, but they didn't have the right sized comforter so we got a rain-check and we'll go get it later. Yay though! How cool is that? lol Right, I know I'm a dork. ;) lol
And you know what else, when I got home Autumn called me and then Andrea called me too! lol I felt so special they both gave me calls right after I got home. :D I invited both of them to go see Spy Kids 3-D with me and Autumn couldn't, but Andrea did. lol Dang that movie was humorous! lol And Elijah Wood had one scene in it where I had to control myself from laughing out too loudly. lol Okay, so it was rather lame and corney, but it was still fun and sort of cool! lol Andrea and I went to McDonalds afterwards for ice cream and we wore our 3-D glasses on our heads the whole time. :D lol And the guy gave me an extra big scoop of ice cream... I think it was the glasses. ;) lol
And now I'm here at home. I had a hundred something junk mails in my outlook inbox. Oy. I think I'll need to change that e-mail address once again. I've been thinking of domain names. lol Bad me, I know, but I sort of couldn't help it. lol And I think I MIGHT get one that I've sort of been wanting for quite a while, but I haven't decided yet. Anyway, I feel REALLY tired and the kitties are actually inside and asleep on my bed already so I think I'll join them and be cuddly. :) Hee. I missed them, they're so cute and sweet! Love love love! Oh yes, and by all rights I should already be in bed, but it turns out I don't have to babysit tomorrow early which means I get to sleep until nine! lol We've started showing our house now so I have to be up early in case people want to come by. It wouldn't really be good if they came into my room while I was sleeping. You know? Anyway, lots to do tomorrow and I need a semi decent rest at least. Goodnight. :)
Tuesday, August 12, 2003
Sit back and relax because this is going to be a LOOOONNG entry. ;) lol First off, I'll start with saying that tomorrow I'll be flying back home. I'm ready. lol Well, except when I remember that there's already a whole bunch of stuff waiting for me that I have to get done asap and I'm babysitting on Thursday now and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. lol My brain already hurts just thinking about it all. I talked to my mom though and Sanrio called me back about my application from a few months back while I've been down here. I wonder if they called Autumn... Autumn needs to work there and if I worked there too, that'd be really cool! lol But, they may have already filled the position by now so I'm not holding out or anything. I'm excited to get back to the theatre though. :D I work Thursday(yay for online schedules, lol) with Brian K., Anthony and Ben. It'll be the last day we're showing Spy Kids 3-D. lol I'll either go down and watch it tomorrow night or I'll watch it after I work Thursday. Hehehe.
I got back from camping at Pismo Beach on Sunday afternoon. And well, one can't exactly call it camping either since we were at an RV resort. lol But my cousins and I did sleep in tents. ;) lol Steven did end up coming with his girlfriend and their daughter too. :D YAY! That was nice. He looks SO different. lol He definately jumped right into daddy mode though. It's cute. Can I get an aww? lol Anyway, now for the very long portion of the entry where I type up what I did each day of camping! Woo haw! lol Here goes.
Thursday the 31st
We went to CJ's water polo game in the evening. It was the final game of the competition they were in for the summer and they won and got first place. :D YAY CJ! They totally whooped the other team's butt too. lol Anyway, from there we piled into the RV and started the drive to the beach. We ended up stopping to stay the night at a state beach park on the way that night. It was so awesome there because there were no big cities or anything around so it was really dark and you could actually see the Milky Way! That's the first time I've ever actually seen it in the real sky. I've seen it before in a planetarium, but until then, that'd been it. lol
Friday the 1st
We got up in the morning and continued our drive up the coast. We stopped for breakfast at a Dutch pancake house and it was quite tasty. :) Of course, I wasn't adventurous and just got your standard regular American buttermilk pancakes. lol After that we drove some more and we were too early to check in when we got up to Pismo so we did some shopping for a while. :) I got these two pairs of rad pants from K-Mart and I'm wearing one of them right now even! lol Once we got checked in to the RV place CJ and I went and rode bikes around the place a bit. Then we checked out the beach which had all these jellyfish things all over it. Not exactly good. lol Then we rode bikes some more and went to find out what activities were planned that day and the next and to find out what time the ice cream social on Saturday was at. By the time we rode back to our site, Uncle Mike, Keith, Teona, Steven, Britney and Emily were all there! :D Keith, Teona and Steven are all my cousins and Britney is Steven's girlfriend and Emily is their baby girl. The first thing I said when I saw Steven was "woah." lmao He looks a LOT different than when I last saw him something like four or five years ago. lol
All right, and I'm pretty sure this next part happened this night, although everyone else dissagreed with me when I was trying to remember on the way home. lol But it couldn't have been Saturday night because we went to the races, but maybe I'm wrong, who knows. lol Anyway, they had kereoke in the evening at the clubhouse! Woo! lol I've sort of been wanting to do that for a while now, but no one would considering doing it with me. So, CJ, Teona and I went. I kept trying to get them to sing a song with me, but they said they wouldn't, they were going to make me do one all by my friggin' self! Finally, CJ agreed if we sang a Beach Boys song and it took some convincing, but we got Teona to do it too. We decided on Surfin' U.S.A. And we did it. lol We got up in front of like 30 people and sang it and you know what I never realized about that song before? It has so many names of places that I just could not figure out how to pronounce! lol So we basically just mumbled through the verses and sang on the chourus, but it was fun. lol I was bright red though I'm sure and my voice was all shaky with my nervousness, but darnit, now I can say that I've done it! :D Thank God they didn't get it on tape though! lol ;)
Saturday the 2nd
We woke up semi-early in the morning to go to the swap meet, but when we got there we discovered it wasn't actually until Sunday. lol Oops. ;) So, we stopped by this place called the Apple Farm(I think that's right anyway) and then went up to Morro Bay. We had lunch there and then did some shopping. We went to the same shell store that we went to last time so I got three things. :) All shells arranged like flowers in little pots. Very cute. I'll try and remember to take pictures when I get home and put them up on here. Anyway, we made our way over to the aquarium to feed the seals. I remember going there a number of times when I was younger and just loving throwing the fish pieces into the waiting seal's mouth, but this time... ew! lol I actually touched one of the pieces and it was just too gross to touch anymore so I did like CJ and Teona and gave the rest to Keith. lol He had fun with them. And the aquarium was basically the same as always. The one thing there I find really interesting is that they've got the eyes from a blue whale preserved in a jar of clear liquid in this case setup at the end. Kinda freaking, but sort of interesting at the same time. lol They're pretty big. Haha.
After that and a bit more shopping, we went back to camp and made it just in time for the end of the ice cream social which is never very social. lol We took ours to go back to the camp site. We all sort of just hung around there for a while and then it was off to the races! It was factory and stock car sort of races just on an oval track out in Santa Maria. We went and did that last year too. It was pretty cool, but it's REALLY long and it goes fairly late into the night and it gets rather cold there. lol All the same, it was still a lot of fun though and it's sort of cool to see the crashes and stuff and then cheer for the car you think looks the coolest. Hehee. :p
Sunday the 3rd
We got up and went to the swap meet, but we got there rather late so a lot of the people were packing up their stuff. I didn't really see much of anything that interested me though, but I did end up getting one thing. I got a yellow Fox Racing visor for four bucks. It was supposed to be five because that's what CJ's red one was(I gave her three dollars so she could get it), but he gave me a dollar back when I gave him my five. lol I was all like, "I thought they were five dollars?" and he looked at me confused and then just waved it off and I was all like, "okay." lol We went back to the campground after that and then all jumped back in the RV again to go to the beach. lol Uncle Mike also drove his Jeep over with us and he gave us all rides through the dunes. I went with Steven and Britney and it was fun and all, but after being out there in a hummer last year, it just can't quite live up to that. lol At least we didn't get stuck in the jeep this time though. ;) lol Basically all we did the rest of the day was hang at the beach and then chill back at camp and Steven, Britney and Emily left in the evening. Oh yeah, and I did laundry. lol
Monday the 4th
In the morning we rented The Bourne Identity from the little general store and watched it on the laptop that Uncle Mike brought with him. :) In the afternoon, CJ, Teona and I went up to the clubhouse to play Bingo. They had some pretty cool prizes too like free bike rentals(you know, the cool once, not your standard riding ones), free mini golf, and some other cool junk. None of us won though. lol We each came pretty close once or twice, but someone always got Bingo before we did. lol It was a lot of fun though and they had us play using different patterns besides the regular five in a row so that was cool. Kevin and Mike took the train up that day and got in around 7 pm. Before bed we all walked to the beach and did a little stargazing and whatnot. Or well, I did stargazing, they didn't really. lol They sort of just fooled around and whatnot. I was trying to see how many constellations and star names I could remember. lol
Tuesday the 5th
ATV day! lol Before we left for that though, Teona and I went to return the movie and remembered there was face painting that morning! Woo! lol So we each paid a buck to get our faces painted. Or well, Teona actually got her's on her ankle, but where's the fun in that so I got mine on my right cheek! Teona got a butterfly and I got a slightly whacked up shooting star. Darn did I ever feel cool though. ;) lol We got back and piled into the RV and drove to rent the ATVs. We rented two 250 Honda Recons which are semi-automatic quads so you have to shift, but there's no clutch. That wasn't exactly a good thing for me since I don't know how to shift. lol Of course, the guy explains it to you before you go out into the dunes and everything, but I didn't know how to tell when to shift up from first to second! lol CJ and Keith went first and then Teona and I went second. Teona didn't know how to shift either, but that's cause she's still too young. Shhh... you weren't supposed to ride those if you were under 16, but three of my cousins were. lol I blame it on my Uncles. ;) Anyway, Mike and Kev gave us both quick little run-downs of what you do and all, but I was still confused. Teona got it right away though and was having a blast! I'm all like, okay, something must just be wrong with me or something. lol I went though. I stayed in first a lot, but finally managed to get myself up into second and I hit third once or twice. lol I was a bit scared of killing the engine and having to shell out a whole lot of money. Of course, no one told me till afterwards that that'd be pretty hard to do! lol Teona's so funny though. All through the trip her and I were keeping our eyes open for guys. Her moreso than me, I really don't care right now. lol But so, she's all like, Holly, there's a cute guy stuck over there, let's see if he needs help. And, granted, he was rather cute 'cause I could actually see his face despite the helmet, I looked and her and I'm all like, "How are we supposed to help him, we have no idea what we're doing?!" lol Nevertheless, we rode over and I asked him if he was all right and he said he was fine and he got it and whatnot. He looked like he knew what he was doing and sure enough, we noticed him going a bit later. lol Then later when it was getting about time to head in, I was following Teona and she starts going after this guy she later told me was cute even though I couldn't tell. lol So, he goes over a jump, Teona follows and I watch her get a bit of air and I'm going behind her because I don't want to lose her and I'm all like, "Oh crap, here it comes!" lol I probably got maybe a foot of air and it wasn't so bad, but still, sheesh Teona! lol It's a good, funny memory to talk about in the years to come though, that's for sure. ;)
When we got back, we watched Just Married because Aunt Rohnda had rented it earlier. I forgot to mention that she'd come up I think the day before so here I'm mentioning it now. ;) lol Now, I was all excited to watch the movie because Autumn had told me not too long ago that David Moscow's in it! :D He's one of the Newsies if you didn't know and I heart my Davie for sure. lol Wow, that movie was funny. lol Not the funniest ever, but there were some pretty dang funny things. lol The dog dying from jumping out the window... her whole "de-flowered" thing. lol After that we all went swimming in the pool. Now, I know what you're thinking, why go swimming in a pool when the beach is right there? It's because of the jellyfish. I was afraid I'd get stung so I didn't go into the ocean the entire camping trip and now that I'm leaving tomorrow I can say the entire time I've been down here. :( So sad. *sniffs*
Wednesday the 6th
We got up and went to check out some tide pools. Nothing very excitng. Just a few small crabs, a starfish or two and a couple other small things that I've seen a million times before. I don't know, they don't really get me interested. Now, if we'd seen a shark swimming by or something, then I'd have been interested and would have been snapping away with my camera! lol The most interesting thing was the dead rat we found in a little sea cave next to the tide pools. lol It was pretty icky looking 'cause all of it's fur was gone and it's skin was white and slimey looking and it was sort of squishy looking... not very pretty. And I'm sure you loved that fine description too. lol Grandma and Grandpa arrived at camp in the afternoon and they took us all out to Sizzler for dinner. It was good. I ate more than I should have though. Oops. lol It's always hard at those all you can eat places, you know?
Thursday the 7th
We drove about an hour up the coast to see the elephant Seals. It's just a hang out place that they like. They basically laid on the beach the whole time, but one or two of them moved a bit. I was excited though when we spotted a mommy, daddy, and baby dolphin in the water. :D They didn't do any jumps or anything like that, but it was still just cool to see them swimming. Mind you, all of this was pretty far away from where we were standing on the top of the cliff. We met some very domesticated squirrels up there though. lol They ate bagels right from CJ and Teona's hands. Then we started back down the beach and stopped to see some harbor sealsm at their little hangout. We got pretty close to them. About twenty feet or so away and I took some cute pictures. :) They were all cute and fuzzy! lol I liked them. Uncle Jerry made seal noises at them too. That was quite humorous. lol ;)
Friday the 8th
All the kids, save me, and Uncle Mike woke up early to go kayaking in the ocean. They had a lot of fun I heard and got pretty close to some sea otters and saw some dolphins. I just had no desire to go kayaking. So, I slept in and went to lanyard making that morning. I was going to just hang there and finish it while waiting for everyone to get back, but then Grandpa invited me along with some of the adults and go shopping so I got my lanyard supplies and took them to go. There wasn't much shopping when we finally got to the place. It was on the beach and they knew it had gotten re-done around there so they thought there would be lots of stores there already, but there was a grand total of two gift shops and a few places to eat. lol So it was all a little boring for me.
In the evening was the major event of camping though.... horseback riding! Yay! :D I rode a black horse named Smokey, male of course, and he was nice, a little funny though. lol We rode onto the beach, through some of the dunes, and then back the whole way along the beach. Smokey was silly because he'd walk REALLY slow and then as soon as we'd fallen a certain amount behind most of the group, he'd break out into a trot to catch up and then he'd walk slow and repeat the whole process all over again. lol Before we entered the dunes, we were allowed to do some running along the beach which I was all excited for. It took Smokey a while, but he finally got into a trot, but wouldn't really go any faster. A few minutes later though, we got the chance to go faster again and Smokey got up into a canter(correct me if I'm wrong with terms Sam) for a few seconds and boy did that feel good! I like going fast because it's easier for me to get into the horse's rhythem that way. It's hardest for me at a trot, but since Smokey liked to do that so much to catch up, I got a bit better at it, I think, lol, by the time the ride was over. ;) So, we got out of the dunes and headed back along the beach. Our guides told us that we had to keep our horses at a walk all the way back(I assume so they could cool down), but Smokey didn't like that idea and kept trying to trot so I had to keep pulling back on his reigns even though I wanted to do some running too. lol They also took us down closer to the surf so that we could ride through the water if our horses didn't mind, but Smokey did mind. He almost ran me into a parked car trying to get away from some water that was coming in a bit far. lol So see, Smokey was kind of funny, but it was still lots and lots of fun! :D
Saturday the 9th
We went ATVing again in the morning. :) This time I went with Steven(they'd come back up Friday night to surprise Grandma and Grandpa... they did, lol). We were the last pair to go and had the same 250s as before. I was still a bit unsure about all the gear changes and stuff, but I did a lot better. :) I was in 3rd gear a lot of the time and even in 4th once or twice. Yay me! lol Steven and I found a good rhythem section and went through that a number of times. He even found a jump he got me to go off of with him. I didn't really get any air though, but that was just fine with me. ;) Steven also decided he'd try going up this huge dune-side and he got himself stuck. I ended up having to turn off my ATV and walk up the hill and yell him the instructions on how to reverse since no one had told him how to do that. lol I knew because I'd gotten stuck on the first trip and then a few times with him too. lol I seemed to be quite good at that part. ;) When we were all done and got back to camp it was either go to the beach or go outlet mall shopping so I chose shopping. I didn't get anything though. lol Nothing really grabbed my attention enough for me to decide to buy it. lol
We got back to camp just in time for me to take a shower before it was off to dinner. It was expensive, fancy dinner night. lol Last year we went to AJ Spurs and we were going to this year too, but they changed it at the last minute to a place that was basically just like it. lol Steaks and seafood mainly, neither of which I like, so I got a hamburger. lmao I know. At least I had sense enough NOT to try the turkey nuts though! Keith just had to be adventurous and get an order for himself and anyone else who wanted to try. Yuck! lol And they weren't nuts like peanuts if you know what I mean. The guys liked them, but CJ and Aunt Terry didn't. lol And I just knew there was no way I'd stick one of those things in my mouth! lol Too yucky for me. After we finished our meals, we got ice cream and our waitress let us pick little kid's toys out of a saddle bag she brought over. lmao I got a spinning top. ;) Haha. Before bed we played a little b-ball against some other kids staying at the RV resort place. I was wearing flip flops and ended up playing barefoot. lol That did not help my game. ;) lmao They were all really good with fancy moves and well, my cousins and I aren't so you can guess who won. ;)
And that's that. Sunday morning we packed up and hit the road back home. We stopped at an In-N-Out Burger for lunch and made it back to their house by mid-afternoon or so. Didn't really do anything save chill out the house. And then yesterday morning Grandma picked me up there and brough me here to their house and I just chilled, read my book, and watched SG-1.
Jessica and Shaylee came and picked me up this morning though and we all went to lunch at Subway and then went to the movies. We saw the new Freaky Friday. How many different versions of that have they made? lol It was good though and I actually really want to get the soundtrack for it. lol They had this awesome remake of an oldies song I really like and the stuff that the Anna's band in the movie sang was pretty good too. After that we went to the mall for a bit and then they dropped me back here where I asked Grandma for a ride back to the mall. lol I bought arm warmers, drop chains, the Navy beanie baby bear, and some sunglasses. I think that was it. lol There were lots of cute pants and things too that I tried on, but yeah... they just didn't look right on me. Darn my butt, I tell ya! lol I've got a plan to fix it though, it's just executing it that will be a bit difficult. ;) lol I wanna get really into dance, hip-hop mainly, but there's like no places in Washington where I could get more than one lesson a week. Blarg. I'll have to do some more searching and see if I can find any other places. I was looking in the yellow pages on the internet earlier, but the comptuer freaked out on me. I don't know how my Uncle Jeff puts up with this thing! lol
Anyway, I think this is far more than long enough so I'd best be off now. I get home tomorrow and I'd like to say that means I'll get some website stuff done(especially since while I've been down here I've been approved for like five new fanlistings that I need to make and get up), but I think things are going to get pretty hectic pretty fast so I don't know. It all depends on if I get a job at Sanrio or not and how much time I have to spend working on that site for the guy from church and whatnot. He wants it ready to be launched by September 1st so we'll see. And can you believe it, I feel tired so I'm going to go to bed. lol TTFN!
